From the end of the 3rd century the city was subordinated to the commandery (district under the control of a commander) of Biling (later Changzhou) and remained so except for a brief interval under the rule of the Yuan (Mongol) dynasty (1206–1368), when it was made an independent prefecture.

  8. Wuxi was part of the Wu state. Wu state was founded by Wu Taibo. Wu Taibo was the first son of King of Zhou clan during the shang dynasty. Just like the brother of Wu Taibo who's clans founded the Zhou dynasty. The Zhou dynasty royals who have many offspring founded different ancient Chinese state who later began the Warring states period of china.

  9. The river in the video has a history of 2500 years, dating back to the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period. 1400 years ago, Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty repaired the canal linking Beijing and Hangzhou. This river is the main trunk line.Wuxi's per capita GDP has been No 1。 After entering 2010, the city gradually transformed. We should develop in the direction of humanism, livability and improving the environment, and no longer pursue the overall GDP in an extensive way. House prices are also much cheaper than those in Shanghai and Suzhou. However, more efforts are needed to protect the water resources of Taihu Lake. Truly realize the "beauty of Taihu Lake".
