Healing slow travel to Kunisaki Peninsula 癒しのゆっくり旅 国東半島の世界農業遺産をめぐる
The Usa region in northern Oita is a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) site.
The area which includes Bungo Takada, Kitsuki, Usa, Kunisaki, Himeshima, and Hiji, is characterized by its ‘sawtooth oak forests’ and ‘reservoirs’. The wisdom and activities of our ancestors, who utilized the water cycle that flows from the forest to the village and the sea, and exploited it for agriculture, were highly valued. 大分県北部の宇佐地域は世界農業遺産に認定された地域です。
