Aizu-Wakamatsu in Fukushima Prefecture is less than 4 hours from Tokyo and displays some of the most brilliant Autumn colors in Japan. I’ll take you along route 252 from the famous Aizu-Wakamatsu Castle, past the Ueda Dam and then to Lake Tagokura and the Kagamiga Pond, before heading up to the Hibara Lakes region to see the spectacular Magarisawanuma (pond).
