2024年12月1日、徳島駅周辺で開催された「徳島おどりフェスタ 〜新時代へ躍り出そう〜」で披露された阿波おどりの動画です。徳島おどりフェスタは、例年アスティとくしまで開催されている「秋の阿波おどり」に代わるイベントとして開催されました。阿波おどりのほか、ディズニーのスペシャルパレードも参加するとのことで、パレード会場はもちろん、徳島駅周辺で開催されていたイベントも大盛況でした。
阿波おどりファン的には、#徳島県阿波踊り協会、#阿波おどり振興協会、#阿波おどり保存協会、#徳島県大学生合同連（#鳴響連、#四国大学連、#徳島大学雷連、#徳島文理大学連）、#徳島県高校生合同連（#徳島商業高校、#鳴門高校、#城西高校 の阿波踊り部）、Aw, Wow!! Trip paradeに参加していた県西部の連（#舞絆踊連、#もっこ連）、#関西阿波おどり協会合同連、#全国阿波おどりコンテスト 参加連が一堂に介して流し踊りを披露する史上初のイベントでした。阿波おどり振興協会の「総踊り」は有名ですが、振興協会がこの規模で「団子」や「大暴れ」の構成を見せてくれる機会はほとんどなく、内容的にも激レアなイベントでございました。

徳島おどりフェスタ 〜新時代へ躍り出そう〜

阿波おどりは、430年以上の歴史を持つ日本で最も有名な伝統芸能の一つです。阿波おどりの「阿波」は徳島県の旧藩政時代の「阿波国」から来ています。徳島市で開催される阿波おどりは、毎年8月12日から15日まで開催され、130万人以上の観光客で街が熱狂の渦に包まれます。

This video showcases Awaodori performances at the “Tokushima Odori Festa – Leaping into a New Era,” held on December 1, 2024, around Tokushima Station. This event replaced the usual “Autumn Awaodori” typically held at Asty Tokushima. Alongside Awaodori, a special Disney parade joined the festivities, drawing huge crowds to both the parade venues and the surrounding Tokushima Station area.

For Awaodori enthusiasts, this event was groundbreaking. Groups like the Tokushima Prefecture Awaodori Association, Awaodori Promotion Association, Awaodori Preservation Society, Tokushima University Student Ren, Tokushima High School Student Ren, the Aw, Wow!! Trip Parade from western Tokushima, and the Kansai Awaodori Association Joint Ren performed together for the first time ever. Additionally, the Awaodori Promotion Association’s famous “Sou Odori” was enhanced with rare performances featuring their “Dango” and “Wild Rampage” formations, making this event truly unique.

Awaodori (Awa Dance) is one of the most famous traditional performing arts in Japan, with its history of more than 430 years. “Awa” is the old feudal administration name for Tokushima Prefecture, and “odori” means “dance”. Awaodori Festival in Tokushima City is held from August 12 to 15, attracting over 1.3 million tourists every year.
