Until I watched this video, I had never heard of Karatsu City. Fortunately, thanks to this video, I was able to discover another hidden gem in Kyushu.
The shops around Karatsu Station seemed very localized, offering a glimpse into the local life. I also liked that the city itself felt very simple and not commercialized.
It’s easy to see why so many people gathered in the city to see the Karatsu Kunchi Festival, as the floats were amazing. It’s wonderful that such traditions are still vibrant, captivating, and passed down through generations.
The 360-degree view of the sunset from the top floor of Karatsu Castle was truly beautiful!
