Expensive Fashion In China’s Poorest Region I S2, EP91
After my trip to the far west in China’s Xinjiang Province, I have travelled to Sichuan Province to a small county called Butuo. Butuo is quite famous for its ethnic minority called Yi People. By the time of travelling there it happened to be some Yi People’s celebration. Eventually, I ended up joining their celebrations with fancy outfits and stunning traditions. They are particularly recognized by their fance headgear which can cost up to 10000 USD.
Join me to this unique celebration with Yi People 🎬

Hey all!
I just reuploaded this video because of a YouTube restriction. I hope you'll enjoy 🥰
Yan
You're actually showing us some truly Unseen Places in China ❤
This city is actually from a fairy tale 🐉🔮 with Green mountains and modern windmills.
hi 👋 there i’m impressed by you’re work ❤
10k for a dress is that poor
Wow they are beautiful, and how amazing is there traditional wear!
This is an authentic example of cultural tolerance. Let all of us please be accepting and forgiving. USA has nothing but bad things to say about China but their own support of Israel in the genocide of another culture and race is the most hypocritical
Wow this is amazing. I've never seen anything like this in America (to this large scale at least). The only slightly comparable thing is big raves/festivals where people will dance together, but even then like 90% of people just keep to their own group.
The group dancing together at the festival was powerful. Love it
Some of it reminds me of my culture. Im indigenous Native American. some of the clothes look like our jingle dresses.
漂亮的女孩子都是少数民族,我很嫉妒也很无奈。
Wow
Beautiful people, gorgeous, exquisite outfits ❤❤❤ This is a stunning culture. I`m happy their way of living is so well preserved. Thank you Yan, for this beautiful video !
Beautiful Yi people. Yan thank you for featuring this.
Just stumbled upon this china anc i have to say one of the best channel around showcasing china.
China is just too beautiful and surreal, but haters will say these people are paid actors and actresses 😂😂
This is so beautiful. It is always nice to see the diversity of culture across the world, especially how proud people are of their own culture.
You are an international treasure!🥰
The noodle you had is called mung bean noodles..its bouncy and taste really good with tahini and chilly sauce!
I wonder if they are the Hmong people of china
really great interesting video! Always love your stuff. Also great for learning Chinese. So much unknown culture here i never would have expected this :O
20:20 – Deym she pretty! 😍❤
Unbelievable that this video was only 21 minutes, I was so immersed it felt like it was over an hour long. Felt like I was actually there. How incredible!!
Love from Assam (chu-tian)
You are a class
it is interesting how the dance at the end looks so similar to some of our folk dances (the music is way different), i live in south eastern europe 😁
I truly enjoyed watching your videos. This festival seems interesting and eye opener. It's good to see young groups embracing their heritage and older people give importance to this tradition.I would treasure this seeing other cultures so beautiful.
