I went to Kizugawa yesterday (October 9, 2024) to visit the remains of “Kunikyu Palace – 木津川市”. There are cosmos fields and red spider lilies.
Kuni-kyō was the capital city of Japan between 740 and 744, whose imperial palace was built in the present-day town of Kizugawa in Kyoto Prefecture by the order of Emperor Shōmu.
