This homemade BLT sandwich restaurant has been a favorite of U.S. military base personnel in Iwakuni for 62 years. What a surprise that SAKO is being taken over by the restaurant to go to among those who have arrived. It is a wonderful restaurant with many stories that was featured in PLAYBOY in the U.S. back in the day. It continues to remain in the hearts of many people, so much so that there are people who say they came to SAKO for a BLT for the first time in 40 years.
