  1. Grand Hyatt is not "that" close to the city center of Athens. It's a short cab ride to the city center,. Mariott has way better options. They just opened a Moxy in Omonia (keep your head on a swivel out there, I'm not sure if it is as dangerous as it used to be) and I have stayed at Fresh Hotel on Sophocleous.

    Grand Hyatt is a great hotel and a good value most of the time. If you stay there, cross the busy street and get breakfast at Koan Καλλιθέα.
