  1. This brings back great memories. Not far from you is Samara, one of my favorite Costa Rica destinations. You will love Punto Playa Carrillo. It's the next beach over from Samara Beach. Also check out Arenal and Manuel Antonio for wildlife.

  2. Country collector l have a question… when you guys were in guatemala, why never went to the beach… sample puerto San José or chaperico or ether puerto santo Tomas de Castilla. But champerico is the beach close to Guatemala City.

  3. Im from Guatemala and l was waiting to ether those puertos ( pier)

  4. Looks super beautiful! Wondering if you could explain more about the taxes and how the prices are so high in Costa Rica. Is it that way everywhere in CR or just the more touristy places?
    That sunset was truly epic!

  5. You Guys surprised me!
I was expecting a lot more from Guatemala like Tikal, Flores lake & so on. Anyway, Great as well you made it to Pura Vida Country. I went there back in the 90´s and loved it. Lots to discover as river rafting, jungle touring, beach & so forth! Enjoy it !

  6. Visit la Fortuna, termal waters, volcano, Baldi hotel day pass, mistico park, hanging bridges.

  7. Another beautiful place, lot of things to do and that sunset so beautiful ❤️

  8. I am following another vloger on Costa Rica trip and I believe just like Mexico this place to have lot to offer. Stunning sunset.

  9. Happy Monday! The estuary trip looked really appealing. Any chance for some diving in Costa Rica?

  10. Great vidio, Thanks for sharing. I remember Playa Tamarindo from my first trip to CR. 1990. Dirt roads and the Tamarindo Diria Hotel was one of a couple of places to stay. Peaceful town then. Then, the forign money rolled in. Looks crowded. Reminds me of Sayulita.

  11. Hola. For an off the beaten path experience, please visit Rara Aves Nature Reserve. I was there in 1995. Seems like it still a great place to visit. Took a 6 wheel unamog in most of the way. Then elected to hike the last 3 km. Not an easy walk but well worth the effort. More than enough photo opportunities. The rainforest lodge is quite rustic. The close by waterfall is a great place to visit. Flora that is out of this world.
    Look it up amigos

  12. I was pleasantly surprised to see you guys went from Guatemala to Costa Rica in this video! I literally told my hubby omg they’re in Costa Rica now! Lol 🤗 love it!

  13. I love the look of their currency! The surf shack looked like it would be a great spot for lunch. I'd love to spend a day at that beach. I would love to watch the turtles on the beach too. So many beaches, and Adam's sunburn looks painful! That pup was cute but not great that she's an aggressive playful. Beautiful tour around the town.

  14. So glad to see guys still enjoying so delicious goodies! Your smoothies looked yummy and that was a croissant! It most definitely looked like it felt like a brick 😆 I like that it's a breaking bad themed restaurant. It was a great show! As always an amazing video filled with amazing views and yummy looking treats! Great work my friends!

  15. Sounds like Costa Rica is really pushing to move US Currency,,, how unfortunate for non Americans

  16. That is very interesting about the money conversion. I live in Palmares Costa Rica and we always pay in colons. Glad you guys are having fun. Tourists spots tend to be higher, Costa Rica is definitely more expensive then other central American countries.

  17. Tamarindo is rustic but beautiful, albeit a little pricey… but, I guess you're paying beach prices. Surprising that it's cheaper to pay in USD rather than the local currency.

  18. Great to see you exploring Tamarindo, Costa Rica! It sounds like you had a fantastic time staying at Tamarindo Backpackers and immersing yourself in the hostel community. It's always a great way to meet new people and get valuable information from experienced travelers. The colorful and fun money in Costa Rica is amazing, and it's great to see that you enjoyed the hostel's amenities like the pool, shared kitchen, and hammocks. Exploring the town on foot seems like the perfect way to experience everything that Tamarindo has to offer, and renting a bike or a mountain bike from Handlebar is an excellent idea. The bustling atmosphere and nightlife make it a perfect destination for adventure-seekers who love to have a good time. I can't wait to see your next video, where you'll be exploring Santa Teresa!

  19. I absolutely dislike Tamarindo. It's probably one of the most disgusting beaches in CR. I do love the way you put the video together though. You guys have great vibe. Check out Avellanas and Playa Negra. Happy trails kids.

  20. Hi Heidi and Adam! I'm a few days late to the "Costa Rica party" but catching up now with my mid afternoon cup of tea! Thank you for sharing this great video. I know very little about Costa Rica, so this is definitely an education! There definitely is a different feeling that comes across compared to your other videos in Mexico and Guatemala and I am looking forward to seeing the rest of your journey! Cheers and safe travels! Lisa from Winnipeg

  21. Gracias, chicos. Siempre me dejan una sonrisa en el rostro. Abrazos desde CDMX. Stay save! 😉

  22. Costa Rica is a hard pass for me. It’s crazy expensive! In my experience, it is more expensive than prices here in the US. Didn’t enjoy it. Plus, it’s crawling with Americans.😳

  23. Love Tamarindo, lived there for several years a decade or so ago, but if there’s anywhere where there out to rip you off in all possible little ways it’s that place…

  24. Hi Guys

Always best to pay in Colones and let bank do the conversion. The restaurants will give you what ever exchange rate they feel like charging. Unfortunately the US dollar has been down lately in value. Banco National and BCR bank will always give you most accurate exchange rate for the day when withdrawing colones.

    Pura Vida

  25. Once again, thank you for sharing. I have followed you two through Mexico and have loved it. Have you, Adam and Heidi toured the Caribbean Islands? Just curious. Enjoy you two!

  26. I have been to Panama about 7 times and loved it. Just around the corners. That's why I go back. The weather is always so nice. I do really want to head to Costa Rica. How long are you staying down there? As always lots of great tips and info.

  27. So jealous I missed out on this during my trip. It's definitely a give and take staying in hostels compared to Airbnbs. Biggest plus though is meeting the people for sure. Man Tamarindo looks awesome. Smoothies, croissants mmm. Yeah, it was interesting to see the price difference between Mexico and Costa Rica. The first time I was in CR I didn't really pay for anything because of my friends. This time I was paying for more and coming from Mexico I was like, "oh WOW, for a Latin America Country this place is expensive." The beach looks fantastic! Oh a fire dancing show, that'd be fun while having a drink. Adam, in school were you a safety/hall monitor? 😂 Loving that boat tour. Costa Rica has such amazing nature. That country is so proud and so protective of it's land and the nature around it. OMG that ice cream sandwich. Nice "jump" cut…🤨😁. What a fun video guys.

  28. Thanks for the video. My, oh, my has Tamarindo changed since I was here in 1988. One two story hotel, one beach shack called Tercer Mundo. Beer only. No airport except in SJ. Long bus ride to the water. Loved the warm water at about 80 degrees. That was in July. You could say it was primitive in 1988 compared to today's northern Costa Rica. Change happens and you showed it. I hope the National Parks are still pristine. Safe travels.
