The Hiruzen Highland is a resort area famous throughout western Japan. These extensive highlands are situated at the base of three peaks, Mt. Kamihiruzen, Mt. Nakahiruzen, and Mt. Shimohiruzen. The area has cycling roads, hiking trails, campsites, and facilities for winter activities. The Hiruzen Highland are home to many rare species of flowers, plants, and insects, as well as the largest Jersey cattle ranch in Japan.
西日本有数の高原リゾート蒜山高原は、上蒜山、中蒜山、下蒜山の三山の裾野に広がる高原で、サイクリング、ハイキング、キャンプ、ウィンタースポーツを楽しむことができます。この地域に広がる草原では、草原環境に特有の珍しい植物、昆虫などが見られるほか、日本最大の飼育頭数を誇るジャージー牛の牧場があります。
