大内宿（おおうちじゅく）は、福島県南会津にある、江戸時代の雰囲気を色濃く残す宿場町です。会津若松と日光を結ぶ街道の宿場町として発展し、現在も茅葺き屋根の民家が建ち並ぶ景観が保たれています。国の重要伝統的建造物群保存地区に指定されており、住民による「売らない・貸さない・壊さない」の三原則のもと、町並み保存と茅葺き屋根の技術継承が続けられています。特産品のねぎそばや栃餅、しんごろうといった食べ歩きグルメも楽しめます。

Ouchi-juku, located in Minamiaizu, Fukushima Prefecture, is a post town that retains a strong Edo-period atmosphere. It developed as a post town on the road connecting Aizu-Wakamatsu and Nikko, and even today, the townscape of rows of thatched-roof houses remains intact. Designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings by the national government, the residents have continued to preserve the townscape and pass on thatched-roof techniques under the three principles of “not selling, not renting, and not demolishing.” You can also enjoy local delicacies like negi soba, horse chestnut mochi, and shingoro.
