Today, February 4th, marks the grand opening of one of the world’s three largest snow festivals. We begin our 4K immersive walk at sunset, capturing the magical transition from twilight to the stunning nighttime illuminations.
Due to the unusually high temperature of 4°C (39.2°F), the snow on the ground is melting, making it quite slippery and slushy—a raw, real look at the festival’s first day. Experience the scale of the giant snow sculptures and the vibrant atmosphere of Sapporo’s biggest winter event.
