  1. As per your standard, another visually stunning video!

Looking forward to the fall colours next month in my neck of the woods. But until then, I have this video.

  2. Quinlan, all your drone footage is so incredibly beautiful! 😍😍
We were just at Akita Komagatake this past weekend and the colours were lovely! Unfortunately we couldn’t put the drone up though as the wind was so strong.
Thanks so much for all this info! Will definitely be revisiting this list for autumn next year 😊

  3. Great timing! I’m in the area now, and the autumn colours are stunning throughout the whole area. You capture the scenery of the region so well.

  4. Hi Quinlan! My family and I just came back from a vacation in Miyagi and Iwate prefecture, and I fell in love with Iwate. I've been to other prefectures in Japan but so far, Iwate is my favorite! We went to Hiraizumi, Ichinoseki, Rikuzentakata, Miyako, and Tanohata. The sights are beautiful, the people are friendly, and the seafood is absolutely fantastic! I also loved that we were pretty much the only foreigners wherever we went there, so we mostly had the sights all to ourselves. It was so great escaping the crowds as we're allergic to them 🤣Thank you for using your platform to introduce the less-traveled parts of Japan. Your videos really inspired me to be more adventurous (I've had so many firsts on this trip, not gonna lie), and I hope you continue to do these because the Tohoku region is such a gem 🥰 I can't wait to see more of Northern Japan for our next trips!

  5. I thought Iwate san trails were closed due to the volcanic activity. Is it open now? An other beautiful video Quinland thank you

  6. Your videos have really shown me the overlooked beauty of Northern Japan. I’m visiting Nara in the spring but my next trip after that will definitely be up north in the summer!

  7. Is the Contact Us section of your Go North website the best way to reach out about guided activities? 🤔

  8. Greetings from Laos. We don't have 4 seasons like you in Japan. Laos is a tropical country. We only get wet and dry seasons. So we never have fall foliage. I'm jealous you get to experience changing leaf colors and snow in winter.

  9. i will go to northern japan and hike all these trails. i need to see this in person. i feel empty without it. purposeless almost. 2025 will be the year to go.

  10. It's hard to believe that our planet has such beautiful places to explore. The views are just stunning. Thanks for sharing them and making my day!

  11. I can see we came back to Kawagoe after our summer in Iwate too early. Will Have to look you up next summer to get some more inspiration 👍👍

  12. So stunning, the colours of autumn and the beauty of North Japan is a perfect combo. Thank you again for sharing these videos with us, hopefully I can visit one day the North of Japan! 🙂

  13. Those colours look amazing! Returning to Tohoku (including Nyuto) in 3 weeks after my trip last October. My trip is just a short one this year so I’m only visiting Fukushima, but possibly Yamagata. Would you say that colours are late this year compared to previous years?

  14. Currently in Japan with my mom for or 3 weeks vacation, thanks to YOUR channel we've put up North of Japan on our intinerrary as a must! will be there towards the end of the month ☺️ looking forward to a ride on the Sappa-sen boat

  15. Oh Quinlan, the visuals in this video were so utterly gorgeous! If you were to make a full-length documentary about northern Japan (yes please!) I would watch every last second of it. Japan is known for so many amazing things, but I think that loads of people don't realise just what amazing autumn scenery the country has. It never gets old seeing it.

  16. We did the hike up mount nyuoto from kuroyu onsen in July. Had to hop across the rocks to get around the broken bridge. We saw the natural onsen but it was too hot to get in!

  17. I've only been lucky enough to visit the Nyuto Onsen area once for too short a time so clearly have unfinished business there. Your incredible footage in this video makes me determined to make it sooner rather than later. Truly beautiful footage, awesome work.

  18. Quinlan, you are the Bob Ross of Japan hiking videos. I'm so refreshed watching this from my crazy neighborhood of East Hollywood, Los Angeles.

  19. Just beautiful 😍 I never get tired of seeing these wonderful fall colors. I suppose right now you are digging your way through snow rather but ah..Lets see if I get to the snow today, too lol…I have a lot to iron XD

  20. I'm going to that area in mid October. Which hike you would say would be the most beautiful at that time if I only have 1 night near lake Tazawa?
