Japan’s ILLEGAL Ultratwister Roller Coaster?! | Visiting Rusutsu Resort’s BEST Attractions!

What’s going on guys and welcome back to the channel! Today, we continue our Asia tour with our 29th park of the trip—Rusutsu Resort (ルスツリゾート)! Rusutsu Resort opened in 1983 and is home to 7 roller coasters, including the only Ultratwister S-II model ever made! Contrary to other Ultratwisters, the one at Rusutsu Resort features a Dive Loop in place of a traditional switch-track… making for an experience that would be ILLEGAL in the United States! Anyways, enjoy the vlog, and shoutout to Yiting and her colleagues! Phenomenal people running a phenomenal park. As they say here, “Be Happy!” 😊🎢

*Note to viewers: I’ve made everything in these videos raw. You are going to see great moments as well as bad ones. It’s all part of the experience… And to those who want to do a trip of their own, I encourage you to take note of the key moments in this video and learn from our wins as well as mistakes.

  1. Hey all! Thank you so much for watching. A HUGE shoutout to Yiting and the Rusutsu team for having us. Our day was amazing! For those wondering why this Ultratwister would be illegal in most other countries, it is because this Ultratwister is the only one of its kind to utilize a Dive Loop instead of a switch track. This means the two heartline rolls at the end of the ride are taken with incredible speed found nowhere else in the world. It was an amazing feeling! 😊

  2. 15:53 – This Melon isn't Unique to Japan. We've had this in Australia 🇦🇺 For a very very long time. Many Countries have it. It is called either a Canteloupe or a Rockmelon. I call it a Cantaloupe.

  3. The second one you rode you say is the last one of its kind in the WORLD ? Out in SANTA CLARA , CA AT GREAT AMERICA they have one just like it called , THE TIDAL WAVE ..

  4. The Vekoma SLC you rode is one of eleven coaster built with the same elements and layouts, I believe seven of them were built in the USA, one in Wildwood NJ, one at Six Flags America in Maryland, and a third in Kentucky Kingdom, I don't remember all the others locations.

  5. Making me miss my Ultra Twister at AstroWorld. It was a great ride. The first drop was my favorite, the transition from straight up to straight down was so fast. I also miss "Moving conveyor – please watch your step” if you know, you know.

  6. a bit too over the top, jet coaster was cool but a bit old school as it had no loops track was a bit high up but not to do much with it was a nice coaster fot young teenagers with family.

  7. The first Ultra Twister roller coaster was built in 1990 for Six Flags Astroworld until the park closed in 2005.

  8. These guys mention loop the loop is the last one out of 11 not necessarily true Knott's Berry Farm in California still has one and was one of the first

  9. Why are you 2 screaming like little girls in most of your video's, it really takes away, americans are so dramatic…

  10. Wish I had a chance to ride UltraTwister at Great Adventure when it was open. Didn’t make it till after they had closed it and converted it to that Rattlesnake themed coaster.

  11. Thank you for this video. I went to Hokkaido on vacation in June 2025 and had a fantastic time. I spent a day at Rusutsu Amusement Park and I had a fantastic time there. I absolutely loved the park and yes, the rare Togo Ultra Twister was absolutely insane.

When I was there the park had a very strict no on ride filming policy. I was not allowed to take anything on the rides at all. I am glad that they allowed you to film everything. I did film throughout the park though, just not on the rides.

The Intamin Freefall was being refurbished when I was there so I did not get to ride it either. There was a crew of guys working on it though. I was sad about that because I rode the ones at Great America (CA) and Magic Mountain countless times.

  12. I went on the Ultra Twister way back in the day when Great Adventure in NJ had it. I think the ride only 1 or maybe 2 seasons at the most. The ride was fun, but I also remember the seats and restraints being pretty uncomfortable which is why I think it didn’t last very long.

  13. Love the bro energy. As an old coaster lover, ride as much and as long as you can before health and other considerations stop you. Keep doing this! 😎 And thanks for being culturally sensitive in Japan. Americans don't always get a good name there.

  14. don't bother coming to Australia … our coasters are crap compared to the rest of the world … never understood why … maybe you guys know?

  15. I actually got to ride one of the Ultra Twisters when there was one at Great Adventures back in the 80's.

  16. There used to be a TOGO stand up coaster at Kings Island in Mason, Ohio. It was called King Cobra.

  17. It looks like shuttle loop coasters train lost its front wheel section right as reach top of release point to launch backwards into the loop but somehow ride was able to function without it completely?

  18. I'm betting that the Maintenance on Ultratwister has to be a nightmare since it's a unique ride to fix if it's gets broken down since this ride is from the 80s and sometimes rides like this is a nightmare to get fix back then compared to the new ones that different parks got but again to see rides like Ultratwister has to be a once in a lifetime to experience the ride .

  19. This is NOT illigel. There were one here in America. Six Flags had the Ultra-Twister at Great Adventure from 1986 to 1990. It was then moved to Six Flags AstroWorld where it ran to 2005. Check your googles boys!

  20. is that spiral animation in the intro, from the python that used to operated at. bush gardens tampa?

  21. It’s too bad we have to hear you two screaming like a couple of little girls. Otherwise great video.

  22. Loop the loop,in the uk Alton towers had this back in the 80s and 90s only thing supporting you was a lap bar , it was that but that made the ride scary as there was always a little give when at its highest vertical point

  23. Sixty-six years old and I still can't get enough of roller coasters. As soon as I get the chance, I have to try them.

  24. Notice Google's failure to respect you – Fix YouTube at Alphabet Inc Google.. after all the effort the end user puts in to typing out their comment/opinion/troll comments, They refresh the page but they can't find the post they just made…So, I'm going to just repeat it and repeat it and repeat it… Fix ur shit GoogleTube…

illegal in the USA, I find that hard to believe.. have you there home made created vehicles that seems to be okay to drive on the roads without passing American Design Rules and American Safety Standards… I am shocked how laid back American Cops are.. it's like are sleep walking cops.. Whereas Aussie Cops lack of professional training means they'll shoot first then they'll make their enquiries after it's too late but that's okay as Aussies are pussies who are not legally allowed to fight for basic human rights…

  25. What kind of restraint was that It barely freaking went down your chest and the lap belt was barely covering your legs holy crap and that thing spun like crazy Surprise you guys didn't fall out

  26. From a seventy-three-year-old 'Mark', in Somerset, England: oh! to be young again. Thank you for the collection of thrills.

  27. Check out the rides at Canada's Wonderland, which is just North of Toronto Ontario Canada

  28. Gentlemen, thank you for this video and your channel. Very exciting! I have a spinal injury that prevents me from riding coasters and other rides. Enjoyed it immensely.
