【Driving in Japan】National Route 151 : Shinshiro – Toei, Aichi [Insta 360 Ace Pro 4K60P]

National Route 151 is a major highway that runs from Iida City in Nagano Prefecture through the mountainous region of Aichi Prefecture (Oku-Mikawa region) to Toyohashi City. In addition to its mission of connecting regions, it also functions as a “lifeline” connecting the mountain villages of Southern Shinshu and the Oku-Mikawa region, playing an important role in promoting industry and supporting local life.

The second video shows the section from the vicinity of the “Mokkuru Shinshiro Roadside Station” in Shinshiro City, Aichi Prefecture, to Toei Town in the same prefecture. After branching off from National Route 257 heading towards Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, the road enters the mountainous area. The road runs along the Ure River, a tributary of the Toyokawa River, and the surrounding area is a scenic spot known as “Houraikyo Gorge,” famous for its autumn foliage.
