2026年1月21日から続く寒波のため、京都府北部の山里では積雪が増加し、宮津市や京丹後市では1月30日に1メートルを超えた。滋賀県北部の山里でも積雪が軒並み1メートルを超え、滋賀県最北の集落では1月30日に2メートルに達した。
Due to the cold wave that has continued since January 21, 2026, snow accumulation has increased in mountain villages in northern Kyoto Prefecture, with Miyazu City and Kyotango City exceeding one meter on January 30. Snow accumulation also exceeded one meter across the board in mountain villages in northern Shiga Prefecture, reaching two meters on January 30 in the northernmost villages of Shiga Prefecture.
