Shiroishi Castle stands quietly in Shiroishi City, Miyagi Prefecture.
In this video, we begin our walk from the remains of Umayaguchi Gate,
visiting Shinmei Shrine, the Honmaru ruins, and the castle tower,
recording the calm scenery and history of Shiroishi Castle.
Once governed by the Katakura clan,
trusted retainers of Date Masamune,
Shiroishi Castle has shared its history with the castle town below.
Though many structures are gone,
the land, the atmosphere, and the silence
still speak of the past.
The video concludes with quiet scenes
from the samurai residences near the castle,
leaving a gentle sense of calm.
