  1. I can definitely vouch for the area around Paddington. My last stay was a quick one but being around Paddington gave me the ability to zip back & forth between different areas. As for getting back to the airport, for someone that finds it hard to wake up, it was definitely helpful being so close to the station. Got a few extra minutes of sleep. Can't beat that.

  2. In March of 2023, we splurged and stayed in The Chesterfield Mayfair boutique hotel. The entire experience was excellent from staff & breakfasts to location.
Really appreciate your video and will use your guide for our next London visit.

  3. I was very upset by all hotels I was staying in London, even belonging to respectable hotel networks. All they were subpar to what would be their four-star european equivalent – old, cramped, worn out furniture etc. just couln't compalin about breakfast – it was ok. But our "lifehack" which I really liked in case of London was to rent an apartment in one of Canary Wharf highrise new residential buildings. That was absolute upgrade over any "old fart" central hotel – modern, spacious, with great views. Getting to city centre from Canary Wharf is about 15 minutes, which I think is a decent time. No more "central hotels", maybe the Ritz is better, but Radisson and Melia are a piece of junk for their price.

  4. What’s best? What do you want? Food? Shopping? Theatre? History?

Without specific parameters it’s a question that’s impossible to answer.

  5. If you don't mind a 40 minute or so commute into the city, I recommend one of the hotels near Heathrow, which are a lot cheaper than the centre. Get off at Hounslow West on the Piccadilly Line, 81 bus up the road and take your pick.

  6. Paddington was horrible. It was rundown and filthy. It was nice being close to the station, but I would never recommend it to anybody. Near Hyde Park is better.

  7. The trouble is with these kind of videos, what you call cheap or reasonable, is not. 150 to 200 pounds is 300 to $400 in Canadian, definitely not a reasonable price

  8. We stayed in Farringdon last time we loved it. This time we found a hotel that is half the price in hammersmith, hopefully it’s good.

  9. I’ve just discovered you and have only watched two videos so far, but already I can tell that your information is going to be invaluable in planning our 2026 trip to Europe! Great job!

  10. If booked well enough in advance, and if you're on your own. I've found the Premier Inn Hubs a great shout. I've paid less than £100 for some of them before. On a Sunday when seeing Why am I So Single, I booked City Bank Hub for £92 with breakfast. I've paid about that for West Brompton too on a Sunday. They're great if travelling solo.

  11. I love the area around Bayswater station because it's served by 2 tube lines. Queensway station (Central Line) is a 3 minute walk away from Bayswater station (Circle Line)

  12. Last May, I did three nights in Oxford, commuting to London during the day. This was just part of my trip. I didn’t mind the commute into Paddington in the mornings.

  13. It really depends on the purpose of your visit.

If you’re planning a sightseeing focused trip and want something family friendly, Park Plaza Westminster Bridge is an excellent choice. The location is incredibly central, public transport connections are effortless, and the staff was very cooperative.

We stayed there recently for six days and had one of our most memorable family trips.

  14. My last visit I stayed in 2 areas. Southwark was the first layover and it was a fantastic and experience. After hitting Paris came back to London and stayed in Mayfair. Another fantastic experience. Both stays provided a great opportunity to see the city and the people. Can’t wait to get back.

  15. I managed to find a reasonably priced hotel in Bloomsbury. Most places i wanted to see were easily accessible. I really enjoyed the area.
