  2. there is one scenario that might recalibrate Ph economy: in US there is draft bill 'reshoring of callcenters'
    https://www.congress.gov/…/119…/senate-bill/2495/text/is
if this will pass, BPO industry will fold and prices will go back to 2010 levels, just like the PSEi stock exchange is now …. USD will be 70PHP or more

  3. I got put off after I started a business in fishing to find out that my manager had sold the business and the boat and scammed me out of everything which sucks because I really did like the people

  4. It's crazy how many men are going there still. Angeles is the meca for young men and horny Filipina's 😅

  5. Tourism is down everywhere. Reason is people have no money.Everywere people are broke .That is the reason

  6. I don't even care. The Philippines has been swarmed by foreigners who work illegally digital nomads and vloggers hiding under the guise of long stay tourists. The tourist visa should be up to 6 months only and not extendable up to 3 years. Long stay tourists have already learned to be cheapskates and therefore useless. They are actually economic immigrants but always insist they are expats or tourists instead of admitting they are settlers or immigrants.

  7. You mentioned Malayisa, which is Islamic and has no religious freedom and where there is violence against religious minorities from the main religion.
Not really a viable candidate there and things are looking like they're only getting worse.

  8. I'm Filipino. Born and raised.
Moved out because of the corruption.
40 years later, still very corrupt.
    I'm 95% sure I'd never visit.
100% sure that I'd never live there again.

  9. I'm not a diver so there is nothing here. I came to visit a friend in 2008. Could I live here? I tried about 4 different trips before I said ok. Nowadays, I mostly stay home with YouTube. Son graduates High School in 2 years and his sister two years after. Time to move on.

  10. Philippines is great in some ways , not in others … Customer service is polite incompetence… If you go eat somewhere, they always say " sorry that is unavailable" . Pool in hotel closed for entire day at a time, so much chlorine, I had to get out after swimming 2 laps… Never experienced that in Australia..Sales people sometimes use bizarre sales tactics, trying to make you feel guilty if you don't buy their products.

  11. Hello Gio, I hate it when people won't leave me alone when I am visiting a Tourist Attraction and the Beggers are too much sometimes. I try my best to only be around my Filipino family and close friends now. Take care.

  12. Not safe for foreigners especially with Marcos a very corrupt country and it’s passed down each step ! The previous president strict but made the country safer for both foreigners and its citizens!

  13. I’m married too a Filipino and only place that I would move to Davao because the former president came from there and he made that city safer and cleaner than other cities in the Philippines!

  14. Philippines Culture = very corrupt, thus corrupt government & dirty incompetent country

  15. We the people that are Expats seek opportunity…Philippines has nothing to offer! The people are GREAT, but the government sucks!, don't care about Expats.

  16. It wasn't always like this, until just in the last 3 yrs. Things seems so depressing for many Filipinos buffeted by high food prices, high utilites cost, flooding, and poor infrastructure.. more crimes, constant political bickering, and knowing the massive corruption going on in govt

  17. Why will tourists visit the Philippines if the infrastructures are so bad resulting to flooding and traffic? The government and politicians who continue to rob the people’s money thought they can get away with it. There is really no money left to invest in infrastructure improvement so the Philippines will just fade away and will be avoided by visitors from other countries. I am not sure where these corrupt politicians came from? They are so GANID sa pera.

  18. I think Philippinnes tourism suffers and is falling behind further through lack of a customer service culture and accepting low standards. Sure some places are ok but it's so often the case staff aren"t properly trained and slow, sub standard service is delivered. I'm talking things like waiting 20 mins for a bad coffee and being told then the food item you ordered isn't available and rather than being greeted at a hotel being read the house rules and penalties the moment you arrive. A last point, when in Coron and Manila a few weeks ago many tourist focussed eating places were adding a large service fee to the bill without any prior notice which is basically dishonest and just damaging PI tourism further.

  19. Due to corruption, trying to get anywhere is a nightmare, no traffic lights, no stop signs, intersections are not marked, very few street signs, potholes, cars and trucks driving along the highway at 20 kph ect. The biggest problem are the trike and jeepney drivers, they have no regard for other traffic, speed or rules, you can't sleep at night either, stray dogs barking all night, nobody here has the compassion to give them a home or feed them, even though it is now illegal they still eat dog meat, but not enough apparently!

  20. Could rising costs be because so many US companies are outsourcing customer service jobs to the Philippines because they speak English well and cost so much less?

  21. Been in and out of Manila airport a dozen times. Never a problem. Immigration quick too…if need to take shuttle to another terminal…easy and puts you right at check in….little walking. 2 years ago in Hong Kong…had to walk like a mile to connecting flight gate…nearly missed my flight. Airports are not a tourist attraction…just a place to catch your flight. Stop whining everyone. I don't come to Philippines to get pampered. I like the more basic wild west infrastructure. Ride a bus all day across an island for 500php. And nice hotel rooms still available for 25 to 50 usd. Just gotta look around.

  22. Terrible traffic, expensive for what you get, scammers, polluted, bad attitude and corrupt, my wife doesn't even want to visit and she was born there. We go to Japan, Vietnam and Bali instead and don't look back.

  23. I’d say the main problem is no real soft power or any cultural monuments, beaches get old quick. Thailand and Indonesia have Buddhism and Islam and actual culture, meanwhile Filipinos rely too heavily on western influence which is what foreigners want to escape from. Yes they have English (not even, they speak their own form of Philippine English that no one can really understand) but Singapore and Malaysia have English and a lot more culture to compensate, and their British influence is a lot more classy compared to greasy America pinoys are so obsessed with. The internet and transportation system is also horrible and stuck in ww2 era.

  24. Tourism in Philippines sucks… Philippines is expensive…. Philippines is a poor corrupt dangerous dirty underdeveloped politically unstable 3rd world country… Philippines women are scammers single mothers… Philippines food is unhealthy and very greasy… Internet connection is very poor and slow… earthquakes and typhoons ravage the Philippines frequently… so avoid the Philippines because it's very dirty and poor

  25. The problem with the Philippines is that we left as prices went up for us. If your a foreigner,at first you get cheap prices. As they get to know you, everything goes up. Your rent, health benefits, everything. México is better.
