草津温泉は夜になると様変わりする
Kusatsu Onsen feels completely different after dark😲
In the excting third and final installment of our Kusatsu Onsen adventure the day-trippers head out and the streets quiet down, and the town slows to a much calmer pace but maintains a lively twilight atmosphere.
Billowing steam drifts into the night air, the stone paths stay wet and reflective, and one of Japan’s most famous onsen towns takes on a totally different mood.
In this video, I take a slow evening walk through Kusatsu — from the softly lit streets to the Yubatake, where hot spring water continues to surge from the ground around the clock.
At night, the sounds of flowing water and illuminated steam really stand out, and it’s a side of Kusatsu many people don’t take the time to experience.😰
From there, the walk continues toward Sainokawara Park and the rotenburo area. It’s an easy stroll, but the farther you go, the quieter everything becomes, until the town feels almost suspended in time, and where one-of our most epic soaks to date awaits..
If you’re into Japanese onsen culture, peaceful night walks, or seeing famous hot spring towns beyond the daytime crowds, this is Kusatsu at its most atmospheric.

Wow, this is gorgeous! I never knew Kusatsu was this magical at night. Makes me want to jump into the onsen right now.
Happy New Year, Kyle!
I didn’t know Kusatsu at night could be such a beautiful place.
Thank you, as always, for sharing such wonderful information🎉
Happy New Year onsen guy!!
Also had that salmon and salmon Roe kamameshi last November..I dined at the other branch near Yubatake Souan as it is just near the stairs leading up to their sister hotel where I stayed.. I am returning here this April this time to stay farther away from Yubatake on a Dormy Inn hotel chain on top of a hill looking down to Yubatake.. as last November, I stayed in the Yubatake area. I wandered into the Sainokawara onsen park area at night.. but it was kind of dark as there is not much lighting besides faint multi color changing light.. and no one there but me at that time.. I got wary of bears lurking at night as I was completely alone so I headed back..
Cool vid.
Silky smooth and sterilized. LOL
Wow. That open-air number looks like the utter boss level of all <3
Is wearing a yukata outside a common thing there?
Thank you for sharing!!! I enjoyed the series and am looking forward to what's next.
Didn't know how pretty Kusatsu was at night!! 😮😍
Hey Kyle! You really saved the best for last! 🌸 My heart was singing after the last video, but now it’s shouting with joy!💖
Kusatsu looks so dreamy and magical with the violet and gold lights reflecting in the steam.🌌
I couldn't stop laughing at your Yukata transformation, you look like a natural! 🌟
The Izakaya visit is definitely the first thing I’m doing when I land in Tokyo.🍺🍢🍜🦐
Thank you for sharing this wonderful journey, and I’m so ready for the next Onsen surprise! ✨🧼🫧🧺

My onsen king.
Thank you! Happy New Year. Kurokawa onsen is also magical at night.
You're absolutely Onsen guy!!
You carefully rinse off and cleanse your body before bathing, which shows a true respect for the hot spring.
It is evident that you genuinely love and understand onsen culture.
With sincere gratitude, from Japan.
カイルさんは温泉の天皇♨️😁
Kusatsu is definitely on my list too 😮
Happy New Year, Onsen Guy. A great episode, with both the hot springs and the food and scenery. You started out great, and you keep getting better.
20年前草津、伊香保は日本人が行かなくなって風前の灯火でしたが貴方達外国人観光客のおかげで元の様になりました。🎉
