We are driving through Kyogoku Town on Prefectural Route 478 Kyogoku-Kutchan Line. Mt. Yotei is covered in clouds, but it looks beautiful. We have arrived at Fukidashi Park, where you can drink the famous spring water, which has been certified as one of the “100 Famous Waters of Japan.” Fukidashi Park is a natural cycle in which rain and snow fall on the body of Mt. Yotei, becoming groundwater over the years and filtering before springing out here. Approximately 80,000 tons (enough water for about 300,000 people) of water is said to continue to gush out every day. This is a popular spot where locals and tourists come with plastic bottles in search of the famous water that gushes out. You can drink the famous water here. The park area centered around this spring was designated a “Hokkaido Heritage Site” in 2001. It is closed in winter, but if you climb the stairs at the back of the road, you will find the roadside station “Meisui Plaza.” Coffee (nel drip) and famous water coffee jelly seem to be popular. 11月下旬、うっすらと雪が積もり始めた公園には、
静かに流れる湧水と冬の気配が共存していました。
