ミニベロでリゾートの舞浜から漁師町の浦安へ

Cycling from the resort town of “Maihama!” to the fishing town of “Urayasu” on a Mini Velo From “Maihama Station”, we’ll circle the outside of Disneyland, then after lunch, head north along the “Old Edogawa River”, visit a boat lodge, and buy some grilled clams. We’ll cross the “Urayasu Bridge”, go around “Myoken island”, and ride along the “Sakaigawa River” to the “Old Otsukake House”, the Local History Museum, and “Shin-Urayasu Station”. Leaving “Maihama Station”, we assemble the Mini Velo. Riding in front of the “Experia”. It’s in front of the Disney Ambassador Hotel. We can see the steamship Columbia. When we go up to the embankment, the sea comes into view. We can see the “Tokyo Gate Bridge”. Mount Prometheus Volcano and the roof of the Marine Biological Laboratory. This is the Disney Resort Line monorail. Hotels line the west coastal road. This is the entrance to Disney Resort. Ride upstream along the banks of the “Old Edogawa River”. “Restaurant Tomisui” serves sea seafood dishes. Clam ramen for lunch. Fried horse mackerel and fried chicken for lunch. These are grilled hard clams and clams for extra order. Shellfish souvenirs are also available. There are many different types of shellfish in the fish tank. Ride continue along the road on top of the old “Edogawa Rive” embankment. Cross the “Sakaigawa West Water Gate”. Continue along the road, passing by the fishing boat lodge and its sign. We stop by “Echigoya Grilled Clams Shop”. There were lots of autographed cards from famous people. This shop specializes in grilled clams and grilled asari clams and was founded in 1950. We can enjoy these when we back to home. Cross the “Old Edo River” at “Urayasu Bridge”. “Myoken Island” is visible in the middle of the river. Houseboats, fishing boats, and other boats are moored around it. We circle around “Myoken Island”. We cross the “Old Edogawa River” again at “Imaibashi Bridge”, which we can see ahead, and head back. Going down the “Old Edogawa River”, we can see the other side of “Myoken Island” again. There’s also a marina. We pass the fishing boat lodge which we saw earlier from the bank. The sign has the names of various fish,,, Really love to try them. This lodge was the inspiration for the novel “Aobeka Story” which was written by “Shugoro Yamamoto”. This is the “Sakaigawa West Water Gate”. From here, we’ll continue along the “Sakaigawa River”. We go down the “Sakai River” and stopped at the “Former Otsuka family residence”. It was apparently a fisherman’s home. Nearby is the “Former Udagawa family residence”. It was a rice, oil, and kimono merchant’s home. The stairs are very steep. There are stairs along the “Sakai River” where we carry our bicycle up and down. This is the “Urayasu City Museum of Local History”. “Urayasu” was once a fishing town. And asari clams were a particular specialty. The area is lined with nostalgic buildings. We ride along the widened “Sakai River”. Boats and fishing boats are moored here. Fish heads are sticking out from the sidewalk. We arrive at “Shin-Urayasu Station”. From here, we pack bicycle and transport by train. I also introduce various courses on my blog. I’ve included links in the description, so please take a look. Thank you for watching until the end.
