【高知観光】高知1人旅で秘境へ!土佐清水市のグルメと観光スポットを巡るドライブ旅行が最高すぎた!秋の高知旅行

Good morning, this is Bien. My destination this time is Tosashimizu City, Kochi Prefecture. Tosashimizu City is located at the southernmost tip of Shikoku , and Cape Ashizuri is a famous tourist spot . By the way, it hardly snows in winter. It is also a treasure trove of seafood, and Shimizu mackerel is especially famous. This time, I took a road trip to see the gourmet food and tourist spots of Tosashimizu. I also enjoyed the spectacular views and gourmet food in the surrounding area . It was a very satisfying solo trip to Kochi Prefecture from morning to night. Please watch until the end. Good morning, this is Bien. I am currently in Shimanto City, Kochi Prefecture. Yesterday, I took a Shimanto road trip, visiting roadside stations along the Shimanto River and enjoying the gourmet food and spectacular views. Today, I am also visiting an area I have never been to before, the southernmost area. Today, I am going counterclockwise from Sukumo to Otsuki to Tosashimizu, and Cape Ashizuri is in the southernmost area. It is quite far away. But I wonder if I can go all the way around in one day. I think I’ll just pass through Sukumo and Otsuki, but I think the main focus will be Tosashimizu City. Yesterday I came to Shimanto City from Kochi Airport and it feels like I’m here. Because I stayed here, I feel like I can get all around this area in one day. Well, I have to go back to the airport again tomorrow, so it’s quite a distance, but I think I can enjoy a fairly leisurely drive today. So, I’m setting off . First, I’ll head towards Sukumo. Before heading to Sukumo, I’ll take a little walk along the Shimanto River. From Shimanto city, once you come along the river, it looks like this. What a beautiful view. What a wonderful morning . Really, this riverside is recommended for morning walks . This place is really nice . I wouldn’t want to live there. And then the train arrived at just the right time . The place I was just at was really good. I wonder if this street is the main street. If I turn a little, it looks like this, a main road, or rather, a thriving area. So I’m heading towards Sukumo. National Route 439 帰りました。 English : We’re heading along Route 439. It’s really nice. Last time, I stayed at a hotel in Kochi city for two nights, but when I left Kochi city , the traffic jams in the morning were pretty bad, but this place is comfortable. I’ll stop by Lawson and have a hot cafe latte mega. My driving trip has n’t started until I’ve had a strong wind warning . Today, I was planning to walk along the Ashizuri Cape Promenade, so if a strong wind warning is issued, I’ll be a little scared. The temperature right now is 13 degrees. Is this the Shin-Shimanto River Bridge ? The Shimanto River is nice in the morning, too. And it’s about 30km to Sukumo. There’s a fishmonger that opens at 8am , but I didn’t call in advance, so they might not be open, but I’d like to enjoy some sashimi this morning as well . Basically, I just take the same road to Sukumo, but I wonder if I’ll reach the city center if I go a little further. If I go straight on Route 56, I’ll head towards Uwajima, and if I take Route 4 diagonally to the right , I’ll reach Sukumo city. I’ll cross the Shinjuku-Ku Bridge. Wow, what can I say about this river? Sukumo also has a nice atmosphere. The opposite lane is really crowded. Traffic jam , morning commute traffic? If you go straight you’ll reach Uwajima, and on the left is Otsuki. Should you go left here? Turn left at this traffic light and you’ll reach Sukumo Station in 600m. What’s at Sukumo Station? I’m not sure, but I like to look at stations named after tourist cities. I arrived at Sukumo Station, which is a bit of a hobby. Since I had some time before the fishmonger opened, I decided to take a stroll along the nearby seaside . Is this an abandoned site? Is it still in operation ? It has an amazing atmosphere. Wow, it’s so peaceful . I’ve arrived at a wonderful park. A morning in Sukumo . The second part of my morning walk. Earlier I walked along the river in Shimanto City , and now I’m at Sukumo City’s fishing port? I think. Apparently there’s a popular fishing spot nearby, called Shinko Park . It only has one review, so it might be a rare spot. I couldn’t get any sashimi at the fish shop, but it looks like you’ll need to make a reservation in advance. I should have called yesterday. It’s not a restaurant or market, so I headed to Sukumo Roadside Station. I started my drive along the coast, passing through Sukumo and heading to Otsuki . There’s a pointed part in Otsuki town that looks like a cape. Geographically speaking, it’s a cape that juts out to the west, and apparently there’s an observation deck there, so the view from there looked really nice. I decided to take a look around and head to Tosashimizu, the southernmost area. So, I headed out to the coast. It’s called Ashizuri Sunny Road , and it seems there’s a roadside station just 900m away. There was a sign. Roadside Station Sukumo is 800 meters away. Sukumo Sunnyside Park. It’s a roadside station along the coast, so the view looks good too. This is quite spacious, it looks nice lit up by the sun. It’s too early in the morning, so the shops don’t seem to be open, but perhaps we could take a commemorative photo and enjoy the view. There’s also a paid parking lot here for car camping . As expected , there aren’t any shops open, so it’s pretty empty. What a great view. The horizon stretches out in the distance, and it looks like this. It would be nice to buy something here and eat it at this table . However, it’s too early in the morning, so there’s nothing open and no one around. But I like this empty atmosphere. The sense of openness is nice. After all, traveling alone is great for walking in deserted places at times when there are no people around. There are athletic facilities and a children’s play area so it seems like it would be good for families too. I came here with my kids and… It’s not a sauna. Maybe you can even use the sauna here. I wonder if the cold bath goes into the sea below. Lol. This is a paid free camping area , but it ‘s a bit complicated when you say free camping . You also have to pay to sleep in your car, so it’s kind of… They spend money on the facilities, so you have to pay for it. But I do think it would be good to charge for roadside stations with proper facilities, especially in a place with such a beautiful view. I think it would be better if tourists paid and used that money to keep the economy going, because it would allow for the creation of many more wonderful things. What’s more, it’s amazing how beautiful it is even though the toilets are free. Wow, what a nice atmosphere. It looks like it would be nice to watch the sunset, but I can’t come here today at sunset time. The temperature difference between the air and the sea is huge, and it’s very cold. It’s a kind of mirage that can only be seen on sunny days, and it’s amazing how it looks like this, right now. Between mid-November and mid-February, the beautiful Daruma sunset only happens about 20 times, and only about half that number, about 10 times. It has also been selected as one of Japan’s 100 best sunsets. Sukumo Tourism It was over in a flash so I’d like to go again at my own pace someday. Wow , it really does feel like a sauna. I wonder if it ‘s like 1,000 yen for an hour or something like that . There is a sauna but I wonder if it hasn’t opened yet . There’s no cold bath. It ‘s just the sauna and no chairs. Wow, it looks nice so I went to Sukumo Sunnyside Park Roadside Station. It’s really windy. I wonder if it’s going to get stronger from now on. I continued along the coast and this time I will enter Otsuki from Sukumo. There is a fairly large roadside station in Otsuki and I wonder if they sell prepared foods there from the morning? I heard they sell sashimi too, so I’ll have breakfast there. The reviews said the sashimi is cheap and delicious, so I ‘m heading down National Route 321. Yesterday, I went on a road trip looking at the mountain and river scenery, but today I ‘m going on a road trip along the coast. It’s 46km from here to Tosashimizu , which is quite a distance. I went through Sukumo, Otsuki, and Tosashimi, and then at night I’m back at the hotel in Shimanto City, so it’s a bit of a circle . There’s something here, too . It says ” Dairyo .” Is it a restaurant ? It looks like a seafood restaurant. I’ve entered Otsuki Town, and it’s 5km to the roadside station . I can see it. Otsuki Roadside Station. Time for a break and a meal here. I’ve arrived. I found the Otsuki tourist map. My current location is here. Kashiwajima. The view from this observation deck looks nice, so I’ll head there later. So, it’s time for sashimi. They open from 8:30am, and sashimi and other dishes are lined up around 9am, but they recommend coming after 10am for rice dishes and side dishes. There are several types of dried fish just like this. They also sell pork called Chikaraton and then we come to the sashimi section. The display case is large and has a variety of sashimi lined up. If you look closely, you’ll see that the items inside are different. The display case next to it is even more luxurious. They have sea bream, yellowtail, amberjack, and more . They also sell tuna. They don’t just sell sashimi, they sell fillets and half-pieces like this. They also sell a frozen marinated rice bowl series here, as well as poke bowls and yellowtail marinated rice bowls with sesame sauce. I ended up buying five packs in total. There is also a shop further back that sells souvenirs such as sweets. I was curious about the pork buns and wanted to buy some, but they weren’t on sale yet because it was early in the morning. The atmosphere inside the store was like this, so I bought some. Wow, they’re cheap! Anyway, here are the bonito and okikaji for 350 yen, and the amberjack for only 280 yen. They were already so cheap that I quickly bought four packs without any hesitation. 330 yen for real tuna, 380 yen for gram prices. The prices vary quite a bit, so some are 400 yen and some are 300 yen. It’s great if you want to eat a little bit of everything. Also, it’s still early in the morning, just after 9am, so they have sashimi but not many side dishes or bento boxes. So if you want to eat a full meal, I think 10 or 11am would be better. It’s great for people who just want sashimi. They also had fried chicken which looked delicious so I bought some. It was a luxurious morning of sashimi feast. It was cheap and the soy sauce was really good. You can drip the soy sauce little by little with this dropper-like thing, which is great . It even comes with a lid. It’s seriously the best value for money. Is that it? The bonito had good wasabi . The wasabi was too strong lol. I tried the horse mackerel. It’s amazing. The wasabi is better than I imagined lol. A little wasabi is amazing. Sashimi is delicious! Next up is the delicious bluefin tuna. It has no unpleasant odor and is delicious. It seems to be freshly cut tuna. It has a sweet , sweet flavor . I think it’s one of the best roadside stations. Anyway, it’s cheap and delicious. And this is the amberjack. The amberjack looks good too.Let ‘s eat.The amberjack is crunchy and delicious, and has a nice elasticity , but at the moment I can’t really say which is better. They’re all equally tasty, maybe not.The amount in one pack is just right, so I recommend it for solo travelers.Bonito , horse mackerel, tuna, amberjack. So far they’re all tasty.Next is yellowtail, which I’m sure is good too.It ‘s so much better than eating at a weird restaurant, right ? The wind is so strong, it’s like a sudden gust, it made the car shake, but wow, today I’m by the sea, and it’s been a while since I’ve been here. I put a little too much soy sauce on it, and it’s amazing that you can eat this for just 300-400 yen. If you like something moist and mellow , yellowtail is good, and if you like something crunchy, I recommend amberjack . Next, I had some fried chicken. The last one was fried chicken , and it said it was local octopus from Otsuki Town, but it said it was fried chicken skin with squid in it. What does that mean? It has fried chicken skin, fried squid, and fried octopus all in it, so I guess it’s a mix since it’s chicken. You’ll understand once you try it, and it came with mayonnaise and a skewer, which was great. It was delicious fried chicken, and you could eat it like a snack! Delicious!! Thank you for all this, it was only 320 yen. Otsuki Roadside Station. If it wasn’t so cold, I would have liked to eat at this table. Now, I’m finally going to sightsee Tosashimizu. Before going to Tosashimizu, there seems to be an observation deck overlooking Kashiwajima, so I’ll take in the view there before heading to Tosashimizu. Apparently the road suddenly narrows on the way to the observation deck, so I’m a little worried, but there probably won’t be many tourists. So, I entered the tunnel, which is apparently over 1900m long. It’s a really long tunnel, and there are no oncoming cars, so it’s scary when there are no cars. Whoa , there was something there. What just now ? What didn’t move ? A big fallen leaf? Lol. I was surprised. From here, you enter the mountain path and go all the way up, and apparently there is an observation deck. There is a sign that says 2km mountain path observation deck, so I don’t think it’s that narrow. Personally, I think there is a theory that places with big blue signs aren’t narrow. It ‘s narrow, but there are a few points where you pass each other, so it’s not scary. I don’t think there are many people climbing. Not really. Huh , is this the right? The road entering here is quite narrow, but there were points where even oncoming cars could pass each other. Wow, it’s amazing. Wow, it’s scary. There are stones and other things lying around and rolling around. It’s scary . Wow, it’s dangerous here. Trees have fallen and stones are falling all over. It looks like it’s going to collapse , it ‘s scary. Is that a rock rolling in from the left? だわ。 English: Oh, this is it. It’s about a five minute walk from here . The toilets are closed and can’t be used (making it even scarier lol). It ‘s not exactly a remote spot. The path to the observation deck is like this, with branches hanging down, but it’s okay. Oh, let’s take a walk for now. What’s it written on here? It’s so natural , it’s amazing . It has an atmosphere like Earth 100 years in the future, where no one comes or goes, but there is one car parked there. Odo Kashiwajima Tourist Information Map. The tree branches look like they’re about to fall. They look like they’re about to fall. This is amazing. It looks like a course in a game. It looks like the entrance to a dungeon, so let’s set off. It’s scary. The trees are seriously swaying. The trees are swaying and the branches look like they’re going to fall, so it’s really scary. But do we have to climb this to get to the observation deck? The tree branches look like they’re going to fall, so it’s really scary. There are huge ones falling around here, so it looks like they might actually fall. Scary, scary, scary, too scary. Scary, scary, scary , scary. The sound is scary. It’s not scary. It’s okay. This is really scary, but it’s an amazing road. : Look at this ! The slope and stairs really take a toll on your legs. This isn’t the kind of road you can climb while talking. Amazing . I’m going up , believing there’s a spectacular view up ahead. The slope is too steep. Are we really on the right path? This is gradually becoming a dangerous road. Is there still more to go? Trees have fallen . Seriously, it looks like a course in a game. I wonder if this is okay. Trees have fallen, but they’re shaking really hard. I can see the trees. We’ve arrived. My legs are so sore. The wind is so strong that the trees are moving around. Trees that are shaking like this are so beautiful . Amazing. It’s so blue over there. I’ll take a little drive there later too. It’s a wonderful view. Please subscribe to the channel along with the beautiful view and rate it highly. I’m sure there are many people who haven’t been here before. This is a place you should visit. The view is amazing . This place is also amazing. This road is emotional . The atmosphere is great. This place is also amazing . Kashiwajima is nice . Amazing. No, it was good . The return trip was tough . Now that I think about it , I’m surprised I ‘ve been to places like this. Since I’m here, I’ll go down to the beach. It was an amazing road. The view was great, but it was quite a hidden spot. This place is scary too. Amazing. I’m going over there now. 海 が き た ま う 佐賀 県 佐賀 市 …
There’s a distinctive place where we went, so I think I’ll go there first before heading towards Cape Ashizuri. Passing through Kashiwajima Tunnel. When I was at the observation deck earlier, I turned left here and went up the mountain road. It only took a moment in a tunnel, but on a mountain road it takes quite a while. I was amazed that I could cross the mountain just by stepping on the accelerator. This is the Odo Tunnel . This tunnel is long, isn’t it? This tunnel is really long. I think it’s about 1,900 metres, so it’s a little scary. It has an amazing atmosphere. After that, we went a few kilometers and came out onto Sunny Road. We came out along the coast . The southernmost area of Kochi Prefecture? I wonder if it’s facing south. Amazing. It feels like we’re going all the way along the coast. And finally! Sorry to have kept you waiting. We have now entered Tosashimizu City. And today’s final destination, Cape Ashizuri, is still over 30km away. There is still a long journey ahead. We have reached the halfway point. The weather is clearing up and it is quite warm. It was cold this morning, but the scenery is beautiful. The view from the tunnel is amazing. What is this place? Does it have a name? This place was amazing. It is now warm. A city without violence. We have arrived at Tosashimizu Tatsukushi Beach. The view is amazing. Is this
something like that? A swimming beach. 帰りましたら本当に本当にありがとうございました! English: There are showers and such If you walk this way there seems to be a promenade and there seem to be a few view spots Also, I pronounced it completely wrong It’s Tatsukushi I misunderstood it to be Ryugushi What is this? This is the former Ryugujo guesthouse It certainly looks like Ryugujo I wonder if it’s abandoned It would be scary to come here at night I thought there would be someone there but it was just my reflection I was surprised Next we went sightseeing at Tatsukushi Coast The actual location is different to Google Maps There were a few shops but there was no one there It ‘s a great walking course The road doesn’t seem so steep over here It seems to lead to the seaside but this is a fishing port Oh I can see stairs in the back The Tatsukushi rest area is closed I wonder if it used to be bustling It has a unique atmosphere These tree branches are amazing Something amazing Is it low tide now? At high tide it would probably sink here It’s wet I found a sign For now I’ll go as far as I can And then I’ve arrived at the seaside Amazing I wonder if it’s possible to walk here . This is quite a hidden spot. This is amazing. Wow, you can walk here? What an incredible sight. It feels like the end of the world. This is amazing . The colour and the uneven texture… Tatsukushi Coast is an eroded plateau made from sandstone that is about 20 million years old, and is apparently famous as a scenic spot. It was designated as Japan’s first underwater park in 1970. There are places here and there that look like promenades made of concrete , but they are crumbling so we have to be careful as we proceed. We have come to an incredible place ! Wow, this is amazing!帰りました。 English: It’s so windy! It’s so windy! Does the road continue over there? I wonder if the road continues here and can I go all the way in ? There are little road-like things here and there. Wow, it looks dangerous from here on out. Wow, it looks like we’ve reached the end of the world. There are some pieces of the promenade here, like this . It looks a little dangerous, so let’s go back. I got injured last time too, so the view up to here is enough for me. How did I get here? It ‘s like a bit of a maze, and it was interesting. I’ve come back to the place from before. It’s amazing no matter how many times I look at it. I’ve made it back to the parking lot. I wonder if this is treated like a promenade. This narrow place is really narrow. There’s a risk of falling, so let’s stop here. The seafood bowls at the supermarket here seem to be good value for money. It said that the sashimi and seafood were good value for money. However, if I go one more kilometer, there is a roadside station. I’m also really curious about the local supermarket. I haven’t had any rice lately, so if they have a set meal, it might be ok to eat at the roadside station. I saw a sign saying “Mejika no Sato Tosashimizu, 500m ahead. Just keep going along National Route 321, it ‘s very easy. If you go right, you’ll reach Nico Nico Nico Park. There’s an amazing sign with emojis on it . I’ll take a lunch break at Misaki Kitchen, a restaurant in Mejika no Sato Tosashimizu. I’ll have today’s sashimi set meal, which I think is quite delicious. Personally, the rice was delicious, and of course the sashimi was also delicious, but maybe I ate too much this morning. Finally, I’m heading to my final destination for the day. It’s 20km to the Cape Ashizuri Observatory, and there’s still 20km to go. I also have a dinner reservation in Tosashimizu, so I’ll be sightseeing in Tosashimizu from noon. Wow, what a beautiful view! And I think I’ve entered Tosashimizu city. We’ve entered the city. Amazing. It feels like the city is spreading out on this straight road. The sea from the tunnel. Amazing , amazing, it was like a scene from a movie. A while ago I was at the 10km mark and now there are only 6.6km to go. It feels like the climb will begin all at once from around here. A sign has appeared. It says Cape Ashizuri. Welcome to Cape Ashizuri. Ashizuri Onsenkyo is also a hot spring resort. Hot springs are great too. I wonder if I can park here and stroll around the hot spring town. It’s amazing, I never thought there would be so many hotels and inns. I thought it was just a mountain road, but it seems to suddenly narrow from here. After passing the shrine, there are no more lanes, so you can easily pass other cars . And now I can see Cape Ashizuri . It’s crowded, is n’t it? I can’t park here ? I can park here. I wonder if we can keep up the pace. It’s clear, which is good. After a long journey, we’ve finally arrived at Cape Ashizuri, the southernmost point of Shikoku. It feels like we’ve arrived pretty quickly. I had an image of it being a lot of walking, but this is as good as they say. This is the Japanese landscape that we want to preserve for the 21st century, number one in Shikoku. View of the lighthouse from Tengu’s Nose. Are there several places? Shikoku’s road is a long-distance nature trail with a total length of 1,545 km. It ‘s not 1,545 meters, it’s 1,545 km. And finally , we climb up to Cape Ashizuri Observatory, which I ‘ve always wanted to visit. There were more people than I expected, so first we look at the view from the other side. A spectacular, impressive view unfolds before us. And here is the view facing the lighthouse. To be honest, rather than a spectacular view, I felt more like I ‘d seen something before and that I’d finally made it this far. Oodo Observatory. The level of excitement was even higher. I’ve been to the easternmost point of Shikoku before. Tokushima Prefecture, it was really hard to get there. I’ve been to the southernmost and easternmost points of Shikoku, so next I want to go to the westernmost point. There are observation decks at the westernmost and northernmost points as well . I’m glad I made it there safely and was able to take a commemorative photo in the southernmost area. Cape Ashizuri has several other view spots, so next I’ll go to the foot bath and there seems to be something nearby. I also found a few other places that caught my eye, so I headed there. The foot bath is Manjiro Foot Bath? But it’s here, and I wonder if the parking lot for the foot bath is around here? Is this the parking lot? Is this building collapsing? This is the foot bath. Towels are sold for 100 yen, so it’s okay to come empty-handed. There’s also a bus stop between Nakamura Station and Cape Ashizuri? わーわー It’s nice, the atmosphere here is also quite good , and if you go down these stairs, there is something at the bottom . Wild boars often appear in this area at night, so be careful. They may not be out at this time , but I don’t want to encounter a wild boar in a place like this . This is a straight 130m to the cave. The atmosphere here is also amazing. I go straight along this road that has a Ghibli feel to it. It feels like I’m going down quite a bit. It’s a quite mysterious road. It leads to Cape Ashizuri Lighthouse at 600m . Ah, it’s surprisingly difficult to go back. I’ve come to quite an amazing place. Wow, my feet are hurting. Is there something there ? Oh, is
it continuing on ? Is there some shrine above this ? Is that possible? Hakusan Shrine is very mysterious . Oh , this place is nice too. Is it like, don’t climb? Is it dangerous because there are no chains or anything? No, these stairs were pretty amazing, something has fallen over. The camera stand . Of the several caves and caverns at Cape Ashizuri, the largest is Hakusan Cave. It is 16m high. It’s apparently 17 meters wide and has been designated a natural monument of Kochi Prefecture. The road continues over here too. This pampas grass adds a nice touch. I wonder if I can go back to the parking lot from here. How is it today? Maybe I can see a beautiful sunset. After watching the sunset, I’ll have dinner and head back to Shimanto City. It looks good. There are some clouds today too, or it looks like it might get hidden by the clouds, but it looks good. It looks like it’ll be a long detour from this side, so I’ll go back. 帰りました。 English: What is this? Amazing! There are piled up stones in a place like this. The sun is gradually setting and it’s getting nicer. Is this some kind of parking lot or parking space? Is this like a little rest area (bus stop?) Let’s take a commemorative photo. Around here , we arrived at the next view spot. We came through a very narrow path. This is the parking lot, or it looks like we have to walk further from here. We arrived at Uno Misaki Observatory. It is about 5km west of Cape Ashizuri . It is one of the three observation decks in Usubae, known as the first place in Japan where the Kuroshio Current comes ashore. The observation deck is 100m down from here. There seem to be more wild boars here than before. There are probably no people here. This is a narrow promenade after going through a very narrow road. It said that wild boars appear at night. As for the wind, Sukumo? Otsuki . The wind was stronger in Otsuki. This is a promenade that is well worth walking. The trees are quite small, or rather it forms a tunnel of trees and there are not many signs of people. It is fairly easy to access , but it does go down quite a bit . On the way back, I’ve been climbing for a long time, and now I can see it . It’s fun to find these little hidden observation decks. Hehehe . It has a great roof, so it’s fine even if it rains . This one is even more amazing. This is the first place in Japan where the Kuroshio Current comes ashore. I personally think the view here is better than the Cape Ashizuri observation deck we were at earlier. It feels like a hidden place. I wonder what the sunset will be like here. Amazing. I’ve discovered another great view here . We’re planning to add many more spectacular spots in the future, so if you haven’t already, please subscribe to our channel . Don’t forget, thank you. It was the best view. The climb was quite intense. What’s that ? The steps are lower than before so it’s still better, but it’s a quiet place to come. There’s a bus stop here too, is n’t it? Amazing, thank you, Uno Misaki. The view was nice, I can see a little from here , and there’s also an observation deck nearby so I’ll stop by there too. There’s a guesthouse in a place like this. The roads along the coast are quite narrow, so maybe buses go through there too. I was surprised, I thought it was a wild boar for a moment , but there was a log. An oncoming car came. If it was a Swift , there’s nothing to be scared of. I think it’s a good idea for all rental cars to be Swifts. There’s a torii gate. Is this it? Is this it? Apparently if you walk again from here, there is a view spot. We’ve arrived. Actually. 帰りましたら、 観音寺市山登りです。 English: This was also the reason I came to Cape Ashizuri. The observation deck , Ryugu Shrine, and the observation deck split into two at this point. No , I think I should probably go all the way to Ryugu Shrine. It’s 400 meters, so how long is 400 meters? About ten minutes . Ah, the path splits again from here. If I go right here, it ‘s Ryugu Shrine. What’s on the left ? The observation tower. Is there a path? Ah, it’s stairs . That’s scary. This is the way back. And
400 meters is not bad. Isn’t that crazy? I have no choice but to go. Well, I’ll take it easy and take a break. In conclusion, this is the longest path with stairs. Some people might hesitate. At this distance, a really mysterious path appeared. I wanted to come here. This is the place I wanted to come most. Actually, it’s not the Cape Ashizuri observation deck. So, please take a look. It’s like a triple spectacular view : a dungeon , a dungeon , a spectacular view, and a shrine. A wonderful view that combines all three. It would be amazing if it was a sunset. Since I’ve come all this way, should I go all the way to the back? Should I climb the stairs again ? Amazing. My thighs are so swollen and my legs are wobbly, but I’ll keep going. It’s amazing. It’s like the path to the temple, it ‘s like a course in a game. 360 degrees It’s like this. A breathtaking view like the end of the world, like nothing I’ve ever seen before. I wonder when they built this road here in the first place? The wind is so strong I can’t set up my tripod lol. I wonder if I can make it. I walk along this mysterious path that feels like a dungeon. I wonder if I can get right up to the torii gate. It looks like I can. Wow , amazing! We’ve arrived! It’s amazing ! It’s not written on the torii gate . Ryugu Shrine is amazing, lit up by the setting sun. There’s nothing written here either. We ‘ve arrived ! Wow, it’s really amazing! It looks like it would be really nice at sunset , but it’s a little cold so I’ll go back to the car for now. Wow, it’s great! Touring the observation decks was great! My thighs are exhausted! I’m a little tired from walking and driving, so I’d like to take a break. Let’s go back to the city and take a coffee break. Is
this even a parking space? There’s something written on it. It’s everyone’s sea . I thought it was a view spot, but it’s everyone’s sea. Well , it seems like there aren’t any observation decks around here. There are probably many along the coast from the southern end of Cape Ashizuri Observatory to the west . There don’t seem to be any observation decks from this west to north. The road is narrow for a while. It’s narrow up to here, but from further back it becomes two lanes. It’s all the way to the left. It looks like it would be nice to watch the sunset from around here. Oh, this looks good. Is there a place to park? A parking lot, I just remember this place. It’s also possible to come back here later to watch the sunset. Oh, I
‘m surprised. There are people walking. And, of all the nearby places, the place I was just at looked like it had the most beautiful sunset, so I’ll go back there again. Here I am. No, this is amazing, it’s my second time here , but it’s so moving. The ocean looks so close. Just beyond this tunnel there is a really large parking space, and this is it . It’s probably amazing. Look at this, right in front of me. The sunset , but the clouds are so beautiful. And, 30 minutes before sunset, it was unexpectedly hidden by clouds. There’s no hope. The way the clouds are arranged is amazing . It’s like paradise above and hell below. Well, this is a mysterious view in its own way. It’s 10 minutes before sunset. Maybe you can see it for a moment. The sun has just come out. This looks a little bit like a huge faceIt ‘s starting to look like a faceThis time I called several stores around here but two in a row were closed temporarily and I was only able to make a reservation at one store and that store also had good reviewsI’m a little bored until dinner time so I’ll take a walk around hereTosashimizu Chuomachi Shopping StreetAre there any stores open yet? This is the second store for yakiniku and Yonezawa beef tatakiThey’re closed on Mondays and TuesdaysA lot of the shutters are closedYakitoriThey serve yakitoriIt’s super slowI was driving so I made eye contact with them lolThere are also izakayasThere are lots of izakayas around hereNishikawaKaraokeSnack MaronThis place looks delicious tooArrived at the sushi restaurantI’ll have dinner at this store tonightThe chef is nice and since I ‘m aloneShopping here, should I get a half size? So we were able to enjoy a variety of dishes. This is a sashimi platter. The raw mackerel was especially delicious. It was surprisingly delicious. The grunt was also delicious. Next , we had the seared mackerel pressed sushi, which we had last night. I think this is one of the dishes you definitely want to try when you come to Tosashimizu. The menu is so extensive and there are quite a few creative dishes, so if you come with 4-5 people and order a lot and share, I think you’ll be very satisfied. I ordered yakitori, which I had been interested in after reading reviews. It was chicken thigh and meatballs. The outside was crispy and fragrant, and the inside was fluffy and juicy. It was incredibly delicious. Maybe it’s because I’ve been eating a lot of fish on this trip, but even so, it was incredibly delicious. I also had milk tempura with shrimp , avocado, and wasabi mayonnaise.食べましたか、お持ち帰りです!! English: Apparently , this unique sweetness and texture is created by solidifying milk like pudding or tofu and frying it as tempura. And since it was rare, I had some fried moray eel . I thought people would either love it or hate it , but when you eat it with ponzu sauce, it was pretty tasty. I ate way too much, I’m so full . I always end up eating too much, I guess. Well, I was alone, and it was a time when there weren’t any other customers, so maybe they gave me a half-size, which made it a little cheaper. I didn’t look at the breakdown, but yeah, I ate a lot . I ate a lot, and considering that I was eating sashimi and other fish , it’s pretty good value for money. Personally, the grunt and raw mackerel were delicious, and the yakitori was also really good. Surprisingly, it could be a local specialty. It was delicious, thank you . Tosashimizu . I’m heading back to Shimanto city from Tosashimizu, so it’s about 30km from here. It’s a night drive to the hotel, maybe my first time driving 30km at night while traveling. Be careful of animals and pitch-black roads , and I’ll be there tomorrow morning. I’d hate to get stuck in a rice field and be discovered. Today I’m going counterclockwise from Sukumo City, and this is my first time taking the route from Tosashimizu to Shimanto City, so I think I’ll basically be able to stick to the main roads, so I think it’ll be fine, but there’s this really sparkly store. This store is a pachinko parlor called EIKO. No, it’s a pachinko parlor, it’s amazing. Tosashimizu to Shimanto City is 35km, and it’s 147km to Kochi City, and when I think about going back to the airport tomorrow, it’s a long distance. It’s been a while since I’ve driven in the dark, so it’s kind of scary. It’s really dark without oncoming traffic. Oh, I went to the sauna and slept like a log. Today, I arrived at the hotel safely and went to the sauna and slept like a log. So, this time I visited Tosashimizu, via Sukumo and Otsuki.
