【宮城と言えばココ!】日本三景・松島の絶景とグルメで生き返る|Matsushima in Miyagi, Japan
Hello It’s called “Limit Travel” Exhausted by society and the city I use my vacation time to travel so that I don’t forget something important. This time, I came to Matsushima in Miyagi Prefecture, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan. I hope this will be a little bit of healing for those who are tired. Please take a look Take the JR Tohoku Main Line train The Matsushima cityscape comes into view Arriving at Matsushima-Kaigan Station There is a sightseeing boat information center and restaurants in front of the station. I found an oyster shell! Matsushima is also famous for its oysters. There are also many tourists from overseas First, head to the beach right in front of the station Soon the sea and the sightseeing boat came into view. It was a fine day Although it was a weekday, the sightseeing boat was very popular. Return to the station and take a walk There are many shops lined up Red bell peppers…? The restaurant, with its appealing name, serves French fries and hot dogs. There was also zunda flavored soft serve ice cream and shakes. It looked delicious so I bought it without thinking The hot dog is very filling and only costs 300 yen. The famous French fries are freshly fried and fluffy With my stomach filled with delicious food, I moved on. There are also restaurants serving Sendai specialties such as Hagino Tsuki and beef tongue. I’m also curious about Matsushima pudding. There is a wide variety to choose from depending on your preference The leaves have started to change color in Matsushima (late October) There are also shops where you can experience painting Kokeshi dolls, a traditional Miyagi craft. I’m back on the coast There are many group customers Heading to Godaido, the symbol of Matsushima The Godaido Hall comes into view Matsushima is one of Japan’s three most scenic spots, along with Amanohashidate in Kyoto and Miyajima in Hiroshima. There are many souvenir shops around Godaido It takes about 10 minutes on foot from the station to reach the entrance to Godaido Hall. T-shirts are also on sale This bridge is called “Openwork Bridge” because you can see the ocean through the gaps in the bridge girders. It is said to be a way to brace yourself before entering the sacred space. A little caution is needed Arriving at Godaido What kind of view can you see from here? It’s the sea Pray and move on to the next spot Discover another interesting shop I move forward, drawn to it. The view from here is also nice Have a nice trip! Just watching the ships passing by is so relaxing. There were lots of tourist buses parked there. It’s popular. Next, we head to Matsushima’s famous spot, Fukuura Island. You can enjoy seasonal flowers and the view of Matsushima Bay. It takes about 5 minutes on foot from Godaido to reach the entrance to Fukuura Island. Pay the entrance fee here 200 yen per adult What kind of scenery awaits? There was also damage from the Great East Japan Earthquake. Cross the Fukuura Bridge to the island The blue of the sky is reflected in the sea and is beautiful. Sunny days are the best ☀️ Fukuura Bridge is 252 meters The contrast between the vermilion of the bridge and the blue of the sky is spectacular. Fukuura Island is approaching The autumn leaves are also beautiful There was a map of the island. There are many spots to visit, but this time we are heading to the observation deck. It’s so rich in nature and soothing Easy to walk with stairs and ramps There seems to be a crowd… It was beautifully colored There was also a coffee shop on the island. There is a toilet, so it’s safe. The observation deck is approaching It’s fun to explore the island It has been opened It’s a nice view I descended to the sandy beach A hidden gem that is highly recommended I’ve been healed so much, so I’m going home now On the way home, I decided to stop by a shop that I had been interested in. Fried zunda bread, fried oysters, and a beer to finish off! The fried oysters had a rich flavor and the zunda fried bread was freshly fried and delicious. Matsushima is easily accessible from the station and easy to visit There are plenty of gourmet foods to try, so be sure to check them out! Thank you for watching!
