A 3-night, 4-day trip to Okayama Prefecture and Shodoshima. Day 2. Heading to Shodoshima. Boarding the ferry from Shin-Okayama Port in Okayama Prefecture. Shin-Okayama Port is here. The ferry departs at 8:40 AM and arrives at Shodoshima at 9:50 AM. Departing. My body is freezing. I relax in my room. There was a free map. I’m thinking of going to Shigeiwa first. It’s here. Then maybe I should go to Angel Road. Thank you. Ferry fare for two people: 8,250 yen for a car under 4-5 meters. 1,200 yen for one adult. Total (including one driver) was 9,450 yen. Shodoshima is in sight. It’s getting closer. The driver is telling me to go. The smell of the sea is amazing. Let’s go. We arrived at Tonosho Port in Shodoshima. Tonosho Port is here. I’m looking forward to enjoying Shodoshima to the fullest. Our first destination is Kasaneiwa. Tonosho Port is here. Kasaneiwa is here. Kasaneiwa is apparently a pile of huge rocks at the top of a mountain. I’m looking forward to seeing what it’s like. Which way is Kasaneiwa? Here, here. I wonder if I can get there. I can turn, though. This is the road after all. I’m going down such a narrow road. It says you can’t go there. It says you can’t go there. What should I do? What should I do? I’m a little lost. Isn’t Kasaneiwa here? There’s an arrow pointing to Kasaneiwa this way. Because it’s written there. If you go here, it says there’s a parking lot. Maybe we can get here by car. Good luck, navigator. Kasaneiwa is this way. It says P. It says 8 cars only. The parking lot only has 8 cars. I wonder if there’s space in the parking lot. We’re going to a pretty impressive place. We’re climbing quite a bit. Climbing, climbing , climbing. This is an impressive place. It’s impressive, isn’t it? Shigeiwa is in an amazing place. Is there any parking available? Is this a parking lot? It’s empty. I wonder if there’s a fee for the parking lot. Can I park here? The parking lot was free. From here, I’ll walk. Japan Heritage. There’s something written there. It says it. It says it. It says “Welcome Road. ” This is the welcome road . This side is the way back. It’d be nice to take this route. There are 352 steps to the main shrine. Okay, let’s go. That ‘s quite a distance. My legs are getting tired. I ‘m getting there, I’m getting there. The gap is widening. I’m painfully aware of my lack of exercise. We were running along the coast earlier. There, look. Can you see the parking lot? I can see it, I can see it. It’s over there . That road. That ‘s the road we ran on earlier. The parking lot is over there. I can see it, I can see it, just a little. We’ve come quite a way up. We’ve come quite a ways, but there’s still a long way to go. Let’s do our best . Let’s go. There’s a shrine. Let’s pray. 80 meters left. It’s pretty steep. Seriously. Be careful . Let’s climb. It ‘s really steep. If we do it after it rains, it’ll be slippery. That’s right. Amazing? What’s that thing? It’s amazing, it’s amazing. What kind of bird is that? Isn’t it a crow? A crow, that one. It’s black, so it’s a crow? It’s in an amazing place . Amazing. It ‘s amazing. The mystical atmosphere of Kasaneiwa is soothing. A ferry coming from the other side. The view is great too . Be careful as we descend. It’s tough here, but it’s worth the climb. It was really great. We have to be careful when climbing. It’s quite slippery. A lot of people came after we left. See, there are quite a few cars parked there. It’s true. Looks like I came at a good time. Back safely. Shigeiwa is recommended. My next destination is Angel Road. Shigeiwa is here. Angel Road is here. Angel Road is a sandy road that appears at low tide. It’s kind of romantic, isn’t it? Angel Road has two parking lots, Parking Lot 1 and Parking Lot 2. Angel Road is here. Parking Lot 1 is here. It’s paid. Parking Lot 2 is here. It’s a little far, but it’s free. I’ll go to Parking Lot 2. They have Shodoshima ramen. That might be good. It looks nice. It says Angel Road Park. Turn between Shimamura and 7-Eleven. There’s Daiso. There’s a Daiso. Isn’t this it? Really, this is it. While I’m there, I might as well check out the tension rods at Daiso. I want to see some tension rods . To hang wet towels. Parking Lot 2, arrived. It’s free here. Free. I bought a tension rod. I’m getting hungry. Lunchtime before going to Angel Road. We’re heading to the ramen shop we saw earlier. Shodoshima Ramen Hishio is here. Let’s go outside. We’ll sit on the terrace. I think that’s Angel Road over there. I can see Angel Road. Thank you. It was delicious. The sandy road hasn’t appeared yet. The sandy road hasn’t appeared yet, but we’ll go to Angel Road. The Angel Road sandy road is in the sea. There’s an observation deck. Shall we go up a bit ? Shall we go up? The Promise Hill Observatory is here. There’s a bell. Should we ring it? It was loud, so I lowered the volume in the editing. It was louder than I expected, which surprised me. I can see Angel Road. We ‘re heading back to the parking lot. This is where we parked. Yes, yes, yes. It’s close, isn’t it? So close, so close. Within walking distance. It’s so pleasant to take a walk. The distance between Angel Road and the second parking lot is about 550m. We’ve arrived at the parking lot. The tension rod came in handy. We’re going to get some sweets. This is the gelato shop I was looking for. MINORI GELATO is here. I think this is it. I ate inside the MINORI GELATO shop . A two-piece platter of strawberry sorbet asparagus and island lemon cream cheese soy milk, black sesame, kinako citrus mixed sorbet gelato was 600 yen each. Everything was delicious. I went to Hishio no Sato. Apparently there is an old-fashioned soy sauce and tsukudani factory here. Hishio no Sato is here. Hishio no Sato is here now. Should I cross the road and go this way? It seems so. Let’s go. It’s over there, across that crosswalk. Amazing. The building is historic, too. We’re here now. Do I turn like this? There’s a postbox. The postbox is the landmark. Can you see it inside? Wow, it’s amazing. It’s amazing, but I probably didn’t get a good shot. I ca n’t take a good picture. “You can take a beautiful photo if you press it against the window.” I see. I got the shot. What’s this? This is it. I can smell the inside of the brewery. Probably. I can smell the aroma of the moromi. Open it up. Try, try. Do it? That much? This? Up, up. This is it. Push, push. I inhaled too much. Shoyu no Sato is so interesting. It’s starting to rain. My next destination is Mame Mame Beer. A shop selling handmade beer. Mame Mame Beer is here. It says, please… here. The parking lot is here. Over there. Found it? Here? I’ve arrived at the parking lot. I’m moving forward. I’ve arrived at Mame Mame Beer. Hello. I ‘ll buy some beer. Which beer should I get? A cute shop. I’ll pay. The beers I bought. Shiro Mame Mame, Aka Mame Mame, Kuro Mame Mame, Kin Mame Mame. I took a photo after I got home. I’m very satisfied. The rain has stopped. I’ll go to Angel Road. I wonder if it’s connected. No way. No way, it’s already sundown. I’ll go to Angel Road next time. I’m heading to my final destination of the day, Yakatazaki Sunset Hill. Yakatazaki Sunset Hill is here. About 100 meters left. This is it. Park here . Park here, it’s beautiful, beautiful. There’s something like an object at Yakatazaki Sunset Hill . The sun is setting. The object comes into view. It’s a big egg. There’s a photo spot. Can I do it? How does it look? Oh, amazing. It’s cool. I’ll take a photo too. I’ll take a photo too. Photo time. It’s very magical. I’m very satisfied. Next, let’s go to the place where we got off and crossed over there. Let’s go. This place is beautiful . It was a beautiful place. It’s sunny, as expected. I’m glad it’s sunny. It’s sunny, as expected. Even though it rained for a moment. There were swings. It feels good. We cross the road. There’s an observation area. There’s a sunset timetable. There are also clean restrooms. You can enjoy the sunset in peace. I recommend Yakatazaki Sunset Hill. I’m getting hungry. Thank you for the meal. Joyfull was delicious. Delicious. I’m going to take a bath. Our destination is Sun Olive Hot Springs. Sun Olive Hot Springs is here. It’s located at Shodoshima Olive Park Roadside Station. Sun Olive Hot Springs. A time of bliss. Was it empty? Yeah, it was pretty empty. I thought it was pretty empty too. I felt refreshed. Tonight we’ll spend the night in the car at Shodoshima Furusato Village Roadside Station. Shodoshima Furusato Village Roadside Station is here. That’s it. Shodoshima Furusato Village Roadside Station . Let’s go see what it’s like. I’ll go check it out. It was a fun day. I’m looking forward to enjoying Shodoshima again tomorrow.
