I stay in The International Hotel, London owned by Britannia Hotels and it’s the Tenth consecutive year that Britannia has come bottom of the pile in the annual survey by consumer group Which? It’s received some very bad reviews on Tripadvisor with reports of mice, floods and some calling It a very scary hotel, Is it as bad as some people say?

  1. I stayed here about 8 or 9 years ago and it was great. It was a short stay but it was a lovely hotel, I really liked it. To see the reviews now absolutely baffles me, how could something that good get so bad so quickly?

  2. I've noticed all your worst rated videos are Britania, including Pontins which are also their's lol

  3. Have you stayed at the Cromwell International hotel in London, a friend stayed in the smallest room and shared the room with 100s of cockroaches.

  4. I really don’t like artificial chemical scent for the fear of potentially cancerous harm which is obviously worse than a natural bad scent. Don’t mind most flaws but this would prevent me from staying somewhere.

  5. Very interesting and informative.Thank you for sharing England in this way ..good and bad.Your terrific energy and enthusiasm always make the videos great to watch!Always Your devoted fan in America

  6. OMG Tim, I have literally just filmed that video about 1 month ago and it's in my editing stage, I went before when it was really bad but it's much better now!

  7. Haha, do you actually need to research what the worst rated hotels are, or can you simply just go through a list of Britannia hotels

  8. Britannia hotels seem to show promise from the outside and have opulent lobby areas, but the rooms let them down. Who in their right mind would paint the walls in those corridors that hideous orange or nauseating green – give me magnolia any day!
Think I'd give staying here a miss thanks as I am getting fussy in my old age and a comfy bed is a must!

  9. 7:42 that is creepy as you said “anything bad” the door opened. Was the door behind or next to you when it opened? Will you return to the hotel and same room?

  10. Some insider knowledge for you… Britannias policy is that if someone checks in for a booking and there are upgraded rooms available they automatically do so it gives people the incentive to return. This explains the upgrades you will be getting 😊

  11. Your room and bathroom tim was not to bad shame about your bed that basement was not good at all very creepy I would not like to stay down there otherwise not to bad

  12. your room giving me vibes of the Linton Travel Tavern, aka Alan Partridges 'sordid little grief hole'!

  13. The hotel opened with 442(ish) bedrooms… it now has 601, and the building as far as I am aware has not been extended. I believe they converted all the function rooms and leisure club areas into bedrooms – there are photos online of a rather than ballroom that has since been split into bedrooms which are still accessed by the wide stairs so it looks so odd now lol

  14. I stayed there several times for work in the mid 1990's and the hotel is just as I remember, including the décor. Obviously fairly new then and the service was good. The "dubious pictures" are a later addition. The hotel was very popular with overseas tour groups. I was told that the building was originally designed as offices which is why there was a queue for the lifts when the hotel was full. I used the service elevator a few times!
I don't remember basement rooms. I suspect they may originally have been part of the car park.

  15. Love your vids Tim, very entertaining but honest reviews… have to ask though, are there ANY Britannia Hotels you haven't gone to lol…already looking forwards to the next one and I really really like the out of the ordinary places you have stayed, such as the airplane in Sweden and the Yacht in London.

  16. I stayed in Travelodge central in birmingham that was really bad cup was not changed for 3 days grime around the bath steps carpets was not hoovered no hand soap or shampoo nothing was topped up

  17. Why do Britannia never maintain any of their hotels , I stayed in The Adelpia , The Britianna , The Sach years & years ago & they are still the same decore , they look half decent outside until you venture in , then it's like hell on earth .. brutal

  18. Hi Tim ! Lol random chairs you make me laugh. Room didn't seem that bad . Another tired Brittania hotel God I wish a company would take over that actually cared. Thanks for sharing with us. Love to you as always Tracey 💕 xxxx
