【島根旅Vlog】神在月に神様を迎える出雲へ御利益旅！｜島根の神話と歴史が交わる旅
Hello. This is Niko Tabi Smile Travel. We’re in Shimane Prefecture. Our first destination is Matsue Castle in Matsue City. I can see the large moat. I’m glad it’s sunny again today. Matsue Castle is one of the twelve remaining castle towers that have been preserved in their original form and is designated a National Treasure. Located in Matsue City, the prefectural capital, the area around the castle is very prosperous. The grounds are very large. The fences are decorated with cute illustrations of Shimane. I could see the castle tower. I like castle ruins, but seeing the tower really gets me excited. The stairs leading up to the tower are easy to climb. The castle walls are impressive. The staff greet you dressed as military commanders. It’s amazing to think that this building is over 400 years old. Let’s go up. There are various exhibits inside the castle. This is the view north from the top floor. This is the view east. To the south, you can see Lake Shinji. Finally, here’s the view west. The view is spectacular and amazing. I’m glad I was able to visit Matsue Castle. I got to see the musketeer parade. There are many tourist spots in the castle town, too. The pleasure boat ride looks very pleasant. Heading to my next destination: Izumo Taisha Shrine. October is called Kannazuki in the old calendar. This is because it is the month when the gods are absent to hold their divine council. Where does this divine council take place? Izumo Taisha Shrine . October is known as Kamiarizuki in Izumo, as it is the month when gods from all over the country gather. As Kamiarizuki, the shrine is bustling with worshippers. There’s a very sacred atmosphere. Izumo Taisha Shrine has a deep connection to the mythological white rabbit, and you can even see a rabbit statue. The main shrine is in sight. Izumo Taisha Shrine is said to help find good relationships, not just romantic ones. The shimenawa ropes at the main shrine are magnificent. The way to pray at Izumo Taisha Shrine is by clapping your hands four times. The national flag is impressive. Heading to the Kagura Hall. The truly enormous shimenawa ropes are truly impressive. I felt refreshed. I’m heading to my next destination. I’ve arrived at Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine. I rented a bicycle and headed for Mabu. The area around Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine has been carefully preserved as the Omori townscape. I didn’t have lunch today, so I’m looking for a snack. I’m getting deeper into nature. I found a restaurant called Iwami Ginzan Kamanoya. I ordered udon noodles and dumplings. They were delicious. I’m almost at Mabu. It’s starting to rain a little. It’s very cool inside Mabu, and it feels a little scary. It’s hard to believe this is a cave dug by hand. I can sense the development of civilization. I thoroughly enjoyed experiencing Shimane’s history today. I still have many places I want to visit, such as Lake Shinji and Mt. Daisen, so I’d like to come back again.
