【高知旅行】四万十川ドライブ旅行で高知県のグルメと絶景を巡りました!高知旅行vlog

The scenery is so mysterious and unexplored, it’s over 120km from Kochi Airport , but I still wanted to visit it once. My destination this time was Kochi Prefecture in Shikoku. This time, I enjoyed a road trip from Shimanto Town to Shimanto City, a place I’d never been to before . Kochi’s cuisine is the best! I was so moved by the magnificent natural scenery. It was the best solo trip ever! Please watch until the end. Arrived at Haneda Airport. I took the first flight of the morning on JAL from Haneda Airport to Kochi Airport. Speaking of which, I haven’t been to the Osaka Expo for a while. I arrived at Kochi Airport in about an hour and a half, and finally arrived in Kochi Prefecture for the first time in a while . And the forecast for all three days was sunny! 帰りました。 English: It’s sunny with occasional clouds. Last time, I visited Kochi City, the Niyodo River area, and Aki City, I think. I toured the Kochi City area, but this time I’m finally in an area I’ve never been to before . This time I’m in the western area. Since I’m going to be sightseeing, it’s tiring to do it all at once, so I’ll start by taking a gourmet break here. There’s a market here. I’d like to leave a comment to my viewers and go through the flow of time over the years. This time, the rental car I ‘m using is a Swift. In Shikoku, the roads are quite narrow and scary, so this car is easy to maneuver and has a small body, and it has horsepower, so it’s quite fast. Speaking of mountain road driving, it’s just the best, isn’t it? The Swift is here. So, I’m off. It’s been a while since I last drove to Kochi. This is my second time in Kochi this year (3rd time in total). I haven’t been to the other three prefectures in Shikoku, so I want to go next year. Wow, the view is great. As soon as I left the airport, the view was great. It was already a great view. It was 60km to my destination . It was so beautiful. The color of the rice fields and the rural scenery were amazing. I entered Kochi City. It was 55km to my destination. Katsurahama I guess people getting off here is there, there is a sign, Kochi Chuo 2.5km, Shimanto City 115km, Takamatsu 130km, Takamatsu 130km means Kagawa, Kagawa Prefecture Takamatsu and Shimanto are only 15km apart, it’s quite a journey from the airport to Shimanto, it seems the scenery will change drastically after 100km , I’m looking forward to it, the scenery is already pretty nice, and the mountains are already getting closer in the background, I wonder how old the autumn leaves will be in Kochi, maybe around December, it’s quite warm, and still, and Susaki towards Shimanto City Let’s go! There are still 48km to go! We are expected to arrive after 10:30 so I wonder if it will be crowded! Oh, it’s starting to have a nice atmosphere. We feel like we’re entering the mountains and then travel a few kilometers and here we are at the Niyodo River. It’s not visible on camera but the Niyodo River flows under the bridge. We have entered Tosa City. Driving trips at this time of year are also great as you can sightsee in clothes that are relatively easy to move in. In Kochi , it might be just a coincidence, but everyone is fast. Compared to Kagawa and other places , it really does feel faster. We have arrived at Nakatosa IC in Kochi and are heading towards Kurei Taishomachi Market. If we go right, we will head towards Shimanto City and left towards Kochi. There is also the Nakatosa Roadside Station. If we have time, I would like to check out the roadside station as well. There is a sign. Taishomachi Market . Ah! It’s crowded! There are quite a few people here. Judging from the looks of it, it looks like it’s been crowded since 9am. I think this is a parking lot. Opening hours are until 6pm. Finally, after a 60km journey, we arrived. Taishomachi Market is said to have started when fishermen’s wives started selling the fish they caught. There were a lot of people shopping, so we asked the shop staff for recommendations. By the way, this place is opposite a fresh fish shop and it seemed pretty busy, so we bought some. We said we’d eat it right away in the car, but there was lots of ice in the car. This shop is friendly , and even kind to solo travelers. Soy sauce, wasabi, and a small dish? 食べましたら、食べましょう。 English: I said I’d eat it right away and they gave it to me. It’s 2,100 yen, so it’s quite expensive for breakfast, but considering the size, it’s actually quite cheap for three packs of sashimi. It was busier than I expected. It was a little after 10:30 on a Monday morning , so it might get busy. If it’s 10:30, the cafeteria opens at 10:00. It’s hot when you cut off your jacket. Seriously, it gets really hot in the car even on a sunny day. The bonito is served on a not-so-big small plate with the sauce. It’s amazing , they gave us a big small plate , so let ‘s eat it using this plate. It’s a great size , really delicious, no wonder it’s busy. It’s the best breakfast. Actually, I had soba at Haneda Airport at 6:00 in the morning , but it’s so delicious that I almost forget about it. Super delicious. There’s a roadside station nearby so I think I’ll eat there. I wonder if they have one at Nakatosa Roadside Station too. They seem to have bonito too. The location is like a fishing port, so there were a few people fishing. It’s bonito croquette! It looks good. I wonder if this is the entrance. It says something like this or something corner. This looks good too. It’s crowded. We arrived here too. A really big piece, cut luxuriously. Next, we had flounder and sweet white sea bream. Delicious. This is sea bream, flounder and bonito. You should buy them all. They’re doing business so they’ll recommend things to you, but if you just eat everything they recommend, you’ll be fine. Next is flounder. Ah, it ‘s crunchy, but bonito is just so delicious. Bonito is just too delicious. If I were to rank them personally, I’d say bonito is number one by a long shot, sea bream in second place, and flounder in third place. People who like flounder will like the texture , but sea bream is also delicious. Until I come to Kochi. Well, I didn’t know bonito was this delicious, so I didn’t have an image of Kochi Prefecture as being seafood-oriented. It was so good! In no time, there were only three pieces of sea bream left. The wasabi worked , didn’t it? My rhinitis was temporarily cured. The last two pieces of bonito I had saved were the best. On the contrary, it’s better not to eat the bonito first. You’ll be taken over by the bonito. The sauce for the seared tuna is also delicious. I was thinking of having some sashimi as a short break, but I thought I might have eaten too much, but it was all over in a flash. Thank you for the meal . Finally, as soon as we entered Shimanto Town, there is a roadside station. We head there first. If we go straight from the airport, it is 115km from Shimanto City. : Well, it’s over 100km so I think it would be a good idea to take a break in Nakatosa and have some seared bonito. Oh, there’s a Lawson. We’re entering Nakatosa Interchange. Yay! But after this I made a mistake. Oh no, I made a mistake . I was heading for Shimanto but ended up heading for Kochi. Oh no, I made a mistake. I ended up going the wrong way (not going the wrong way lol). A wrong-way driving trip (not going the wrong way lol). So I safely escaped from going the wrong way and it’s about 5-10km left to Shimanto town . At first I thought that all of it was Shimanto city. The whole area of Shimanto town is quite large. If you go further west from Shimanto town you reach Shimanto city, and if you go further southwest or south from there you will find Tosashimizu city, the southernmost area, and Tosashimizu and Sukumo city . Tomorrow I will be sightseeing in the areas west and south of Shimanto city. I haven’t even reached Shimanto city yet but please subscribe to my channel now . Don’t forget, is this pampas grass? Isn’t it huge? Is it pampas grass? It ‘s huge, probably 2m tall! I just looked at the thermometer and the current temperature is 21°C (even though it’s only the second week of November). It ‘s still warm in Kochi. Are we already in Shimanto Town? The mountain on my right is so huge ! It suddenly became so big, it was like I had gone through Gulliver’s Tunnel. Have I become small? The scenery has changed so much that it made me feel like I’m 9.6km away from my destination. I wasn’t able to take a photo, but I’ve entered Shimanto Town! It really is a beautiful view. If you think about it in terms of the straight-line distance from the airport, it’s about 100km, so you hesitate, but once you get there, you’ll see that. After all, there’s a highway and you just go straight ahead. Before I started traveling, I thought I never wanted to drive 100km when I was on holiday, but once you get used to it, 100km isn’t that bad. If you take a break and eat local food, it’s not a big deal, though . Your shoulders , neck and back will hurt, though. If possible, I think it would make for a healthier road trip if you stop at tourist spots every 10-20km and walk for 10-15 minutes. Also, it ‘s a waste to just pass through in a car, it’s a waste if you don’t walk and experience it for yourself. When I was around 20 years old, when I was a student, I wasn’t interested in natural scenery at all and I wasn’t the type to take commemorative photos, but I guess as you get older, your values change and you want to keep a record of it! I guess that’s how desires start to appear, but little by little , my lifespan is approaching, isn’t it? And then I made it to the end of the line, Shimanto Town Chuo IC. ” End” is a nice term, it feels like I’ve reached the very end of the world, and next is Nakama Aguri Kubokawa, a roadside station . It’s great because it’s right there after you get off the highway and turn once, so I guess this is Aguri Kubokawa? There’s a Lawson opposite, and a rice ball banner! By the way, the restaurant where I didn’t eat rice was spacious like this and easy to go in alone. The fries were bigger than I thought, they were spilling out of the bun. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. Yes, it was great. Roadside Station Aguri Aguri Kubokawa. The portion was just right. I was glad I didn’t get fries lol. Just a hamburger and a drink was fine, no fries. So , the real thing, or rather, our drive to Shimanto is about to begin. I’m going on a road trip following the Shimanto River. I’ll take a break and have a drink or some sweets, and enjoy my road trip. So, I’m setting off. This is my first time in an area , and it’s so fun and exciting. It ‘s on a different level . Ah , it’s 95km from here to Cape Ashizuri. Another 95km from here (spoiler alert, but I’ll go tomorrow) lol. National Route 56 is amazing
. At this point, the sign says Uwajima . It’s pretty crowded. It’s a thriving area. It’s rich in nature and quite thriving. Apparently there’s a place called Matsubakawa Onsen in the area too. Hot springs are nice too. There was a sign ! It’s amazing! There are two roadside stations, Shimanto Towa and Shimanto Taisho, which are 39km and 20km away respectively. And then we arrived. It’s not on the camera but it’s amazing. I’m looking forward to going upstream. It must be really beautiful. I should refill my coffee at Lawson. The next Lawson is really crowded. Lawson is an oasis for the soul of a road trip . Oh!帰りました。 English: Suddenly , a beautiful rural landscape appeared. It’s nice. There is construction work on this road like this on weekdays, so there might be traffic jams due to the construction work, so you might lose a little time. I wonder what they’re doing on such a long stretch. The Shimanto River is said to be about 196 km long. It seems to be relatively empty in November, but it must be amazing in the summer. I could see the river a little further back, and it was really beautiful. I could probably stop here and walk around like this . It would be amazing if I went further upstream for commemorative photos. I think I might not be able to get the river in the camera’s view if I didn’t go a little further upstream. There are rice fields on the left, and it looks like there is a river beyond them. After walking a little further, I could see a sunken bridge like this in the distance. The view was amazing. It’s 3 km to the roadside station , and then the river came into view . Wow, wait a minute, it’s so beautiful , so beautiful, it was even more beautiful than I imagined . I had been thinking for a while that the Niyodo River might be prettier, but it was really beautiful. The Imagawa River is wide and there are big stones and rocks. No, there are no parking spaces in these kinds of places, so I guess I’ll have to wait until I get to the roadside station. Amazing, I bet it’s not even captured on camera. Just barely. This bridge on the left and the river. So mysterious. And just the sun is coming out. Amazing. Arrived . Shimanto Taisho Roadside Station. It’s crowded . You can get down to the river from here. Apparently this is right at the midpoint of the Shimanto River. Amazing
. I had no idea such a place existed. What a wonderful place. It would be amazing to come here in the fall. It’s a little reddish, but still a beautiful view. It seems to be the last clear stream in Japan. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a river view. Looking at it this way, it ‘s neither too cold nor too hot, and there aren’t many insects either. It looks like there are a ton of bees, but maybe this is a good time. There are no stink bugs, no caterpillars, and no bees. November-December might be a hidden gem. There’s absolutely no sign of anyone passing by, but it’s amazing! The bridge, river, and rocks are huge! What a beautiful view ! These stairs are also quite mysterious. The Shimanto River and the bridge from the mountains in the background look nice too. Unfortunately, you can’t get down near the river, but it’s like a pond. I didn’t notice on my way to the stairs , but on my way back, I saw some huge hornets fighting each other. I ran away before they noticed me. The scenery is so beautiful, and the roads are so wide, it’s great! I wonder if there are any tourist spots around here too ? Ethnographic Museum Shimanto High School Shimanto High School, that name sounds so cool! Today’s driving course is just going to follow this road and you’ll be heading towards the coast. You can come back, so it’s quite easy to drive, and if you go straight while enjoying the scenery , you’ll head towards Shikoku Karst, and if you go left, you’ll head towards Shimanto and Owa Roadside Station. Wow, the view of the river that comes into view is really beautiful. The river is so wide, is n’t it? The view is great here, but you can’t park your car in a place like this, and it’s only 10km to the roadside station. The townscape around here also has a nice atmosphere . I wonder if this is a sidewalk or not, or is it a parking space?帰りました。 English: The scenery is amazing There are parking spaces here and there so it’s nice to take commemorative photos while driving along the river It feels like an observation deck It looks like a promenade I wonder how many people park here and enjoy the view But
it doesn’t look like there are any people here and I’m afraid a bee might suddenly appear like before There’s a road continuing below I definitely shouldn’t go here This is impossible I wonder if you could go to the river from here in the old days No I want to relax in a sauna – I want to refresh myself in a cold bath I wonder if there’s a Shimanto sauna I think there is one It seems like there is one I think everyone has thought of at least once The view on this side might be beautiful It’s nice It’s the best view Ah wow What do you call this along the railroad tracks It’s nice that the train is higher than the road And now we can see it Shimanto Wow , it’s crowded here too . Basically, when you’re driving along the Shimanto River, it’s like a tourist spot, or rather a roadside station that’s basically a tourist spot, restaurant, and rest stop. Also, I think pork bowls and eels are the specialties. Shimanto Shimanto eel. I want to try some eel . I wonder if it’s good. There was some food for sale at this roadside station, and there’s also a restaurant in the back. There’s also a terrace seat with a great view like this . The view of the Shimanto River from here was amazing. It’s quite a distance, but I think it’s a scenic area that everyone should visit at least once. It looks scary to get on from here It looks quite scary Oh, there’s a door that goes
anywhere There’s a door that goes anywhere so let’s take a commemorative photo Wow, there’s a place like this I didn’t know there was a place like this Passing through Shimanto Tunnel We entered Shimanto city from Shimanto town The Shimanto tunnel is apparently 981m high I want to go to the sunken bridge We’re in Ehime prefecture, it’s in the area around the prefectural border Sunega -kun ga Fuchi Let ‘s take a walk around for a bit For now there’s a normal parking space and a sign but I don’t know where it is A young warrior who was among those defeated in the Battle of Dan-no-ura developed a good relationship with the girl but it was an era with strict class structures and it’s beautifully written that the flower of love withered in an instant but the villagers who are tormented by a nasty grudge is a bit scary Isn’t it a tragic love story of two people who could not be united Did the people tormented by the grudge in this story build a shrine here? Wow , what a beautiful view! The atmosphere of these mountains is also nice. There’s a hotel nearby. The valley around here looks nice too. It’s only 5km to the next roadside station. That’s the amazing train along the Shimanto River. Look, I wonder what line this is. The train looks good, but it’s just bad timing. There’s a sunken bridge below, and it’s really beautiful. Get off here and turn left somewhere and you should find a road. It’s a one-way street so don’t park inside the white lines. The parking lot is on the sidewalk on the other side of the road. This is a parking lot, huh? This is a parking lot.I’ll walk from here.It ‘s nice, the temperature is just right.I came at a great time.If I had to say something, I wish it was a little sunnier.Wow , it’s amazing. It ‘s such a wonderful place, yet there’s no one there. It’s great that you can’t hear any human speech.Just the sounds of the birds and the river.Sinking bridges are really unique.Wow.A car just happened to come by.What
a beautiful view.Hurry before the car comes. So beautiful. So beautiful.Japan ‘s last clear stream.Let ‘s take lots of commemorative photos before the car comes. It ‘s really great.Kochi is a place I want to come back to regularly.Amazing.Seriously amazing. No, it was fun. It’s fun to take commemorative photos in places like this all the time.No , it ‘s beautiful. This is amazing too.No , no matter how many times I look at it, it’s amazing .近地から 近めんや 近めんや 近めんや English: Further ahead there was a beautiful view. If you go left you will arrive at the roadside station in Shimanto City. The sun is shining now. I wish it had been sunny just now. The food was delicious , so I stopped at the roadside station in Nishitosa. I continued straight along National Route 441, heading towards Shimanto city. I guess this is the turning point, right around here. It’s 35km from here to the hotel. But it’s been fun since the first day. It’s nice to take a break at roadside stations like this, eat a meal, make detours , park in these parking spaces, take a walk, and really feel like you’re traveling . It’s especially fun to take commemorative photos of places that don’t have names, and find a nice view yourself . If there’s a place where I can park my car, I ‘ll explore a bit, take detours, and drive until the sun goes down. Oh my, this is it. The road is narrow from here. It was surprisingly narrow. I don’t want oncoming traffic on this road . There’s a car in front of me, so I’m lucky. In a way, being in the lead can be stressful and scary because you don’t know if an oncoming car is coming, but if there’s a car in front of you, you don’t have to worry about it, so you just need to keep a little distance between you and follow. Thank you. From the name, Shimanto Town and Shimanto City, I get the impression that the roads in town are narrower than in city, but maybe the road in city (441) is narrower. I’m heading down Route 441. There’s a sign for a difficult passing spot! The first half of the road was wide, so I thought it would be great because it was easy to drive, but here on Route 441, there were a lot of narrow roads. I thought the roads were narrow for a while, so I made it. A tunnel is being built. Oh, it’s narrow again, so I really hope they open a tunnel . I think I drove all the way from Shimanto Town to Shimanto City along the national highway, and there were a few tunnels there too. Come to think of it , there used to be no tunnels there , so maybe it was narrow like this ? This narrow road continues for a long time, and at 25km it’s pretty tough . After a few more kilometers, I thought the dangerous zone was over, but it ‘s narrow again . There are a lot of oncoming cars, and everyone is speeding. It widens in places, but I wish they’d warn us that it’s going to be narrow forever. Before we reach the city, we need to stop somewhere. There’s extensive construction going on, so it looks like there won’t be anywhere to park. We can take a boat tour of the Shimanto River , but the last boat leaves at 4pm, so we won’t make it. lol I’d like to go again someday. Apparently there’s a course where you can eat on the boat while enjoying the view of the Shimanto River. The construction signs are gone, so it looks safe from here. There are still 17km to go . And here I found a sunken bridge! Sightseeing. This is the parking lot. I think this is probably narrow too, so I’ll walk from here. I’m a little tired from driving on the narrow road, so I’ll take a walk by the sunken bridge. Going further in, I discovered a colorful place like this. If you cross this way, it looks like you can get out into the river. It looks like you might get out. Scary. Wow, it’s amazing. The beauty of a sunken bridge really stands out when you see it from below, along the river. I ‘ve been driving a lot today and haven’t walked much, so I’ll take a walk to get some exercise. It’s rare to see a view like this, isn’t it? It’s my first time walking under a sunken bridge. It’s amazing . This road has about 400 reviews on Google Maps, so I think it’s quite a famous place, but I had no idea about it. It’s rare to be able to go right under a bridge. Thank you for the wonderful view . Wow, the sunken bridge was great. The view. Considering that I was able to see so much on the first day, I wonder why I hadn’t come here before. You can’t really tell the sense of distance until you actually come . It seems like we’re 8km away from the city and the hotel will come into view. The view from here is really nice. It would make a good place for a little walk. Oh, it’s so open. Even when you’re in the city, the view is so good. It’s really nice. This looks like a good place for a morning walk. The cityscape of Shimanto City. This hotel is in a pretty good location. It’s well located, has a sauna and hot spring (not really), and is also cheap . We’re almost there. It’s amazing . The road is all straight, there are no slopes at all. Ah, is there a train here? Nakamura Station. I wonder if the area around Nakamura Station is thriving. There’s a hotel too, so we’ve arrived, so we’ll check in, take a break, and then have dinner . The room looks like this. The only suitable bath is the large communal bath, so there’s plenty of space around the bed, so if you’re alone, it’s perfectly spacious. It’s a compact and simple room, and there’s wifi and a bath/sauna, but you can’t take a morning bath or sauna in the morning . The free laundromat costs money, and there are various rental options . There’s a restaurant where I’ve made a reservation for tonight’s dinner, which is a free service, so I’m heading there . It’s scary! It’s so dark. It’s scary when you use Google Maps navigation. It’s really dark. Oh, I guess I’m going uphill! I had no idea. I arrived at the restaurant for dinner tonight and was shown to a private room. The tempura platter of Shimizu mackerel sushi rolls and seared tempura was topped with two pieces of shrimp tempura. It was amazing! The meal was getting more and more luxurious. It was bigger than I imagined, I couldn’t eat it in one bite, but it was delicious. I was right to choose seared. The fragrant aroma of mackerel filled my nose, which was the best. I would also recommend it for those who want to eat a hearty meal. Next, I had tempura for the first time in a while. It was crispy and delicious, especially the shrimp tempura. Next, I had a sashimi platter. I had amberjack and bonito from the first day of my trip , and personally, the amberjack was the best. Next, I had grilled sweetfish. Apparently they freeze what is caught in season. I ordered too much , but I managed to finish it. I’m so full, I ate too much. It’s a pretty cheap restaurant, but it’s only 5,000 yen for one person, so I probably ate too much. I ‘m glad I only had sashimi and mackerel sushi . Wow, I’m so full. It’s already before 7pm, so I went to the sauna and hot springs and then it was 8:30. It’s about nine o’clock, isn’t it? Then I’ll go to bed before nine and sleep like a log. I think I’ll wake up before 5:30 or 6 tomorrow . Today I didn’t go to any tourist spots in particular , just drove around and took pictures of scenic spots, but it was fun. The bonito at the market we went to first thing in the morning was delicious. The sashimi at the previous shop was also good, but the bonito at the market that morning was so delicious, so I used a different camera than usual, it’s square so it’s easy to place, and I bought some Himawari coffee . I went to the sauna. It was pretty hot, but there was no water dispenser, so I thought I might go back in again, but I was sleepy so I went to bed. It wasn’t a hot spring, but the temperature was just right, like Shimanto underground water . Even if you stay alone, it’s probably less than 5,000 or 6,000 yen a night. On a weekday, it’s about 10,000 yen for two nights, which is pretty cheap considering hotel prices have gone up in the last year or two. It’s still before 8:30, though. So, today was a Shimanto driving trip. Tomorrow, Sukumo – Otsuki – Tosashimizu. Please be sure to check out the next video! Thank you for watching.
