【Japan Trip VLOG】出産前🤰最後の夫婦2人旅へ👫 | 福岡の隠れ家的お宿をご紹介🍁
One fine autumn day , I’m eight months pregnant, and we only have two months left to spend together. Today, we’re heading out on our final trip together before the baby is born. Although it’s a trip, it’s a relaxing trip to spend time at an inn. Our destination is a secluded inn called “Kominka Renri” in Miyawaka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. First, we check in at the counter. Surrounded by abundant nature, this inn accepts only six groups per day, allowing you to enjoy a nostalgic atmosphere. The staff guided us to our room, “Takehara.” It’s a charming, detached traditional Japanese house. Stepping inside, we’re drawn even more into the charm of the traditional Japanese house. Opening the door, we’re enveloped in the pleasant scent of tatami mats. Fortunately, a kotatsu table is provided, perfect for the cold season. A calming space reminiscent of Japan’s good old days. BALMUDA is a convenient and comfortable place . There was also an electric kettle and a humidifier/air purifier to combat dryness. The attention to detail in the home appliances and tableware was impressive. You can open the door to the garden and enjoy the open atmosphere. The bathroom was spacious and clean, and very nice. Cleansing and lotion were provided, so you don’t need to bring anything with you. The amenities were also substantial. It would be nice to change into a yukata or samue and relax in your room. Thankfully, there were plenty of towels provided. The hair dryer was a welcome addition. And all the rooms in the detached building with hot springs have hot spring water, so you can enjoy the hot springs whenever and as much as you like. The bathroom was also clean and spacious. A small study of about 2 tatami mats in size, a space like a “secret base” that helps you concentrate better. The view from the window is like a painting. There were daifuku mochi (rice cakes) and water prepared in the refrigerator as snacks. We were able to choose two bottles of alcohol or juice for each person free of charge. Tea sets and decaf coffee were also available, and the tea leaves were made from local specialties. As I was pregnant, the decaffeinated coffee was very much appreciated. There was also an apple cake made by a local person on the table. I was able to take home the Yamachiku chopsticks as a souvenir, and I plan to use them at home. The remote control and other items were stored in a shaker box, which shows the thoughtful touches that don’t give the impression of everyday life. It would also be nice to take a walk while looking at a map of the premises. The space is like a hideaway for adults, enveloped in silence, and the staff were very friendly. The design is simple yet elegant and rustic. The weather was nice and the autumn breeze was blowing through comfortably. After enjoying the hot springs, we changed into our work clothes and enjoyed some time relaxing in our room. We had some daifuku mochi with green tea. The mochi had chestnuts kneaded into it, which really made us feel the season. The simple flavor that evokes the four seasons was soothing. We spent a luxurious time relaxing in the spacious room. Before we knew it, it was dark and it was a little chilly outside. We headed to the restaurant on the premises where we had made a reservation for dinner. We arrived at the kaiseki restaurant “Ryosho Koshiro”, which is just a minute’s walk from our room. Here you can enjoy kaiseki cuisine made with high-quality local rice, vegetables, seafood and more. My husband had sake and I toasted with hot green tea. 🍻 Because I was pregnant, they prepared meals that avoided live animals! Yuba topped with plenty of crab ✨ What a luxurious dish ♡ My husband’s yuba was also loaded with sea urchin. Since there are dietary restrictions during pregnancy, I can’t wait to eat raw fish… 🥺 Next came the colorful hassun, a dish packed with seasonal seafood and mountain produce. Every flavor was exceptionally delicious , with the aroma and changing flavors all at once. Enjoy the delicate broth, which is infused with the rich aroma and flavor of the earthenware pot steamed matsutake mushrooms and other seasonal ingredients. As you eat, the flavors of the ingredients infuse and change as you eat. The sashimi was fresh and colorful. I can’t eat sashimi, so they served me abalone that was cooked to perfection. The food was both beautiful and delicious. The cedar-grilled barracuda was oily and had fluffy flesh. Conger eel, eggplant, matsutake mushrooms, and other delicacies you won’t find anywhere else were also on offer. The main steak was thoroughly cooked. Even though it was served hot, the meat was tender and melted in my mouth. This persimmon-shaped dish had shrimp inside and looked so cute that it was almost a shame to eat it. The portion was just right, and I finished it all, including the rice and miso soup. The carrot pudding for dessert was just the right amount of sweet, making the most of the carrot’s flavor, and very easy to eat. I was able to relax in a private room, and it was the best dinner that filled both my heart and my stomach. The morning sun shone in, and I woke up naturally. The next morning , I was soothed by the birdsong and the beautiful natural scenery. Last night, after dinner, I enjoyed the hot springs, and my body was warm from the inside out, so I slept soundly. I had breakfast at the same kaiseki restaurant as last night. I was shown to a different private room from last night, and the beautiful autumn leaves outside the window were soothing. Inside the beautifully carved treasure box were five types of healthy foods. The food is in the box. The tofu is apparently homemade, and the aroma of freshly cooked rice is in the air. It’s a luxurious meal of fresh vegetables and fish, with a balanced meal to start the day off right. The homemade tofu is so soft it melts in your mouth. As I enter the third trimester, my appetite has increased dramatically, and I’m able to have seconds of rice too lol . I want to be careful not to gain too much weight, but today I decided to pamper myself. At the end of the meal, I had a dessert of seasonal fruits, yogurt, and granola. It ‘s a joy to be able to have a leisurely breakfast while enjoying the view outside. After enjoying breakfast, I went back to my room and decided to relax until check-out. As I walked outside, I could smell the lovely scent of osmanthus. The garden outside and the atmosphere of the room were so beautiful that they were picturesque no matter how you frame them. As I spent this peaceful time, all my worries about childbirth were gradually swept away. Soaking in the hot springs, which seemed like they would take your mind off your fatigue, further soothed us. It’s said to be effective in improving symptoms such as sensitivity to colds and rheumatism, as well as anti-aging effects. Eating delicious food and soaking in the hot springs, this was a very satisfying trip for my husband and I. Since becoming pregnant, I’ve had an overwhelming craving for coffee. Decaffeinated coffee allows me to enjoy it anytime without worrying about the caffeine kick, and it ‘s safe to drink even during pregnancy and breastfeeding . Being in nature, the stress-reducing and relaxing effects have left me feeling positive, stimulating my five senses, and I was able to breathe in plenty of fresh air and recharge my energy . We relaxed until the last minute before check-out, and headed home feeling completely refreshed. It was our last trip as a couple before the baby was born. I hope we can come as a family of three next time. 🕊️
