It has a long history, and the name “Tsuna Onsen” comes from the fact that Minamoto no Yoshiie took a bath with his beloved horse connected to a stone in the 11th century. The date of opening of the hot spring is not certain, but judging from the origin of the name, it is thought that the hot spring was already open in the 11th century.

Currently, there is a round hole at the top of the tether, which was made by a local builder with a power tool to move the stone. It was forgotten that it was opened by this builder after that, and many people think that the stone had a hole since the time when the horse was connected.

A landslide occurred due to the heavy rain on August 9, 2013, and the footbath where the sediment flowed took two years to recover, and the closed inn was also damaged.

その歴史は古く、「繋温泉」の名称は、11世紀に源義家が石に愛馬を繋いで入浴したことに由来する。開湯年代は定かではないが、名称の由来から判断すると11世紀には既に開湯していたと考られる。

現在、つなぎ石の上部には丸い穴が空いているが、これは地元の建設業者が石を移動させるために電動工具により開けたものである。その後この建設業者によって開けられたことが忘れ去られ、馬を繋いだ当時から石には穴が空いていたと思う人も多い。

2013年8月9日の豪雨により土砂崩れが起き、土砂が流入した足湯は復旧に2年を要したほか、閉鎖していた旅館も被害を受けた。
