Good morning! We are a newlywed, unemployed couple traveling around Japan on our honeymoon , eating lots of delicious food all over the country. Today, we’re going sightseeing in Nemuro. Did you know? Nemuro is the easternmost city in Japan. Hokkaido is here, right here? Maybe it’s like this, but if it’s like that, then… We’d like to enjoy this easternmost city of Japan to the fullest today . So, we’re heading straight for our first scenic spot! Let’s have fun ! Let’s go! The easternmost point! Look, the weather today is amazing! It’s so good! Really good weather! Isn’t it the best we’ve had in the last few days? Seriously, it’s amazing ! Today is the best ! I called in advance but they said they wouldn’t know until the day itself so I’m glad I came . It seems like it can change depending on the fishing and the weather but somehow they were open today so let’s go eat now let’s go I’m looking forward to it Restaurant Eight Here we are here This is what I came here to eat It’s a saury bowl The bowl has a beautiful face There are so many raw saury spread out Go for it It’s not an exaggeration to say I came to Nemuro for this Let’s eat It’s delicious It’s really fatty This year’s saury is said to be good Let’s eat Shun-kun found it for me That’s right I really wanted to eat saury Let’s eat It’s delicious The fat content is totally different Raw saury is so delicious There aren’t many raw saury around It’s fatty This place is also good With warm rice! I love this, it’s the best . I thought grilled saury was the best, but I never knew sashimi was this good after eating it at Tenkin in Asahikawa and started to love sashimi. This is the last one. I ate the sanma bowl at 10 o’clock, but now it’s 3pm and I’m feeling hungry so I bought a 3 o’clock snack. Ta – da, I bought some from Amataro. Let’s have our snack . Wow, we did it! Here is a meat bun. Egg castella cream, this is Amataro, I have ham and mayonnaise, and this is cream cheese. We bought four of these and the total came to 570 yen . Isn’t that really cheap? Let’s start with the meat bun . It’s filled with plenty of bean paste! So let’s eat ! Hmm, this is delicious! Isn’t there a lot of onion in it? A delicious meat bun! Isn’t the meat flavor too strong? The meat flavor is strong, and it has a lot of onion in it, so it has that flavor. Lastly , my favorite type of meat bun. Next up is egg castella, which had quite a few flavors. There were quite a few varieties too, so I went with cream. I was also interested in the chocolate banana, but here we go. What do you think? Can you see it? We can’t see it, we can’t see it. And that’s the last one! Amataro is probably famous for their red bean paste, right? But it was sold out , so here’s the cream cheese and ham mayonnaise that I was interested in. Here we go! There’s plenty of it! Let’s eat ! What a winner! I’ll give this to you, who may have liked this series the most so far . Ah! You’re being picky, but I ‘ll have the cream cheese. Hmm, both are delicious. The mayo is amazing . If you like mayo, this is the best. The creamy cheese and the sweet custard are combined and it’s absolutely amazing. It’s my favorite in this series. I’ve found another one . It’s hard to find good food, I have to come all the way east. This is my favorite restaurant at the easternmost point of the mainland. Thank you for the treat . This is the best snack. It’s cheap, so you can try a variety. It’s absolutely amazing. I’ll come again tomorrow. [I really ate it…] I bought some black bean paste from Amataro. What am I doing taking slow-motion photos for some reason… (It was a sweet bean paste and delicious) So, we’ve arrived at Nemuro Fishing Port. It’s a fishing port , isn’t it? But we didn’t come here to see the fishing port. No, that’s not it. We came to see that thing beyond it. If you look closely, can you see it ? There’s an island in the distance . That’s called Bentenjima. The reason we came to see it is because that’s where Japan’s first sauna was located. There are various theories about it. One says that it was introduced to Japan by a Finnish person who visited in 1792. It’s also said that the Finns came there and introduced saunas to Japan before Perry arrived. They apparently had been doing what we now call loyly since that time. It’s amazing! Rumor has it that Japanese saunas began there. There’s a sauna facility right in front of us. Let’s go and check it out . Let’s go! To the easternmost sauna! So, this is it, this is it. It ‘s just a short walk from the fishing port where you can see Bentenjima, as I mentioned earlier. This is Minato Yu , the easternmost sauna in Asia. You can relax in a place like this, and it’s right next to where saunas in Japan first began. It’s amazing, isn’t it? So, shall we go in? It’s Taiei Nishihama store , so I bought this. Speaking of Nemuro, this is a yakitori bento. Does this look familiar? It looks exactly like the yakitori bento from Hasesuto in Hakodate, which we’ve featured many times in our Hakodate videos. The reason it looks so similar is that it’s apparently a franchise of Hasegawa Store, so they offer the same product, a yakitori bento . The moment we entered Nemuro and saw it, we screamed, ” It’s a yakitori bento!” Let’s eat! We ‘re opening ! I’ve been wanting to see you ! I’m so happy! I’m so happy! We’re really together! The usual skewer removal is all over the place ! The focus is on Hiyori, so it’s a total failure! Okay , let’s eat! This is post-sauna food ! This, this , this is it! Isn’t it amazing that we can eat the same food in Nemuro? Apparently this restaurant has four locations in Nemuro city. Nemuro cuisine is amazing! To be honest, I only had the image of saury, but it’s amazing ! Nemuro is so delicious in so many ways ! So, I’ve finished it! Thank you for the meal! It was really delicious! It’s really good! The yakitori bento is really good! That concludes my sightseeing in Nemuro. If you have a car, you can get around in one day, so it’s great! I recommend it! And here’s what I received: the certificate I received today for reaching the easternmost point. This connects with the northernmost point certificate I received last time in Wakkanai. 脂乗っててめちゃくちゃ美味しかったなぁ☺️
