【城めぐり】アテルイ最期の舞台 胆沢城 岩手県【攻略ルート】

I’m at Mizusawa Station. This time, from here we’ll visit Isawa Castle Ruins. 【Oshu City is the hometown of Shohei Otani】 【There should be a flag like this!】 Let’s check the route on the map. This is Mizusawa Station current location. Our destination is Isawa Castle Ruins. It’s about a 70-minute walk from the station. You can also take a bus from in front of the station. Let’s go straight away. We see the sign. We’ve arrived at the Oshu City Buried Cultural Properties Research Center. This is where we enter. 【Aterui】
He was the chief of the ancient Tohoku Emishi tribe. In 802, he surrendered to Sakanoue no Tamuramaro together with his deputy general More. Tamuramaro pleaded with the nobles for mercy, but the two were taken to Kyoto and executed in Kawachi Province. 【sawa Castle’s Chinpei (military force)】
troops stationed at the Chinjufu. Responsible for guarding the castle walls. They were mainly composed of soldiers from the Kanto region. The Chinpei system was established in the first half of the 8th century and continued until the first half of the 9th century. 【Head statue of Akuro-o】
A legendary figure from Mutsu Province. He is also said to be the leader of the Emishi bandits. He is also said to be a demon who was defeated by Sakanoue no Tamuramaro orFujiwara no Toshihito. 【Tsuiji Wall】
A wall made of tamped mud. Isawa Castle was surrounded by a Tsukiji wall measuring 2.4m wide, 5.4m high, and 2.7km long. This is Izawa Castle Ruins Historical Park. Let’s take a look at the guide map. The main office was located in the center, surrounded by a moat and a raised wall known as the outer enclosure. 【Outer Wall Tsuiji Wall and Outer Wall South Gate】 【Outer inner groove】 Isawa Castle was built in 802 by Sakanoue no Tamuramaro. Appointed Shogun by Emperor Kanmu, Tamuramaro forced the Emishi chiefs Aterui and More to surrender. Shiwa Castle was later built, but it was relocated and downsized to Tokutan Castle. The naval base was relocated from Taga Castle to Isawa Castle, making Isawa Castle the base of military administration. In the second half of the 11th century, changes in the social system brought an end to Isawa Castle’s military role, and the castle was abandoned. 【East turret】 From here we enter the main office district. 【Castle South Avenue】 【Front Gate of the Government Office】 【South Gate of the Government Office】 【Government main hall】 【East side hall of the government office】 【Mizusawa Park】 【Komagata Shrine】 That concludes this video. Thank you for watching until the end. See you again in another town.
