【完全ガイド】新千歳空港でしか買えない!限定プレミアムお土産15選
Hello from New Chitose Airport! This time, we will introduce a list of “only-available-here” limited souvenirs all at once, available only at New Chitose Airport! In the first half of the video, we’ll feature non-refrigerated souvenirs that have a long shelf life and are easy to distribute. And in the second half, we’ll show premium limited products that you’ll definitely want to buy, even though they have a shorter shelf life! A total of 15 varieties, all of them are attractive selections packed with the essence of Hokkaido! We will explain clearly where you can buy them and their features, so if you are planning a trip to Hokkaido, please subscribe and use this video as a reference! Now, let’s take a look! The first item we’ll introduce is on the 2nd floor of the terminal building, from a highly popular store that always has a line at New Chitose Airport: SNOW CHEESE CHEETANE 1 bag (50g) ¥680. SNOW CHEESE is an ultra-rare brand specializing in Hokkaido-produced cheese. Although it is comparatively easier to get at the New Chitose Airport store compared to Daimaru Sapporo, there are lines almost every day, so the difficulty of acquiring it is high. The “CHEETANE” we’re featuring this time is a cheese *kaki no tane* (rice cracker snack) limited to the airport. It’s made with three types of cheese—Gouda, cream, and mozzarella—with a hint of black pepper, and combined with almonds and freeze-dried cheddar cheese. It has a rich and modern flavor that cheese lovers will adore. It’s perfect as a snack or as a side with drinks. And… if you’re going to wait in line anyway, it’s definitely recommended to buy it in a set with popular sweets like SNOW WHITE CHEESE (5 pieces, ¥864) or SNOW GOLD CHEESE (8 pieces, ¥1,728)! The feeling of exclusivity, available only here, increases instantly. It’s a cheese confectionery brand full of Hokkaido charm, absolutely worth the wait. Next up is “Kama-age Chips: Scallop Soy Sauce Flavor” (¥932) which you can buy at “Calbee Plus.” These are special potato chips, truly “Made in Hokkaido,” using Hokkaido-grown potatoes and scallops, and produced at a Hokkaido factory. / They have a thick-cut, crunchy texture, with the savory aroma of soy sauce, the richness of butter, / and the deep flavor of scallop umami spreading throughout. / Since they are individually packaged, they are perfect for distributing as souvenirs to colleagues or friends, / and you can confidently give them to people who don’t like sweets. / Furthermore, at Calbee Plus, the “Poterico” snack born from *Jagarico* and the freshly fried potato chips prepared in the store are also very popular, so it’s fun to try various things. Next, we introduce a popular Western confectionery shop in Otaru, LeTAO. A new souvenir released in 2024: Maille Blancheur (5 pieces – ¥1,188) (10 pieces – ¥2,376). It’s a crunch chocolate made with modestly sweet white chocolate, using whole milk powder from Hokkaido, combined with fragrant nuts and *feuillantine*. / The richness of the milk gently spreads, / and the aromatic flavor of the candied nuts / provides an exquisite accent. / The light, crispy texture is sure to be addictive once you try it. / Moreover, since it’s individually wrapped and fine at room temperature, it’s perfect for distributing as a souvenir. Even Hokkaido enthusiasts who are familiar with LeTAO will be delighted to see this and say, “I’ve never seen this before!” It’s a slightly special souvenir. Next up is LeTAO’s specialty chocolate sweets store, Nouvelle Vague LeTAO Chocolatier. This store is in a different location (on the same floor) as the previous LeTAO and offers a selection of exclusive, high-quality chocolate sweets. This is a highly recommended item that chocolate lovers will especially enjoy. Royal Montagne Brownie (5 pieces – ¥1,188). This is a brownie made by fragrantly baking the popular chocolate “Royal Montagne.” The elegant sweetness of the chocolate gently spreads along with the gorgeous aroma of Darjeeling, and it is characterized by its moist and soft texture. You can enjoy a light melting texture that is different from chocolate itself. It pairs perfectly with black tea, making it ideal as a souvenir for tea lovers. The fact that it’s easy to carry at room temperature is also a great feature. Next is an exclusive souvenir from Pastry Snaffles, a Western confectionery shop from Hakodate, limited to New Chitose Airport: Fluffy Sand Cookie (5 pieces – ¥1,188). Fluffy, cloud-like marshmallow is sandwiched between fragrant sablé cookies, and then coated in chocolate. It is seasoned with three spices: cinnamon, nutmeg, and cardamom, offering an exotic accent amidst the sweetness. It has a texture similar to a chocolate pie, with an exquisite balance of solid sweetness and the fluffy lightness of marshmallow. It’s a limited-edition sweet with a special feel that allows you to enjoy the exotic atmosphere of Hakodate. It’s easy to carry at room temperature and perfect as a souvenir. Next is a cute, limited-edition sweet from New Chitose Airport: siretoco sky sweets HOKKAIDO (Long-tailed Tit – ¥490 per piece). Peeking out from the hole of the donut is the Long-tailed Tit, a small bird from Hokkaido. Since the surrounding design changes seasonally, you can enjoy it no matter when you visit: spring, summer, autumn, or winter. This store might seem subtly Hokkaido-themed at first glance, but it’s actually very much a Hokkaido store. It operates out of the Shiretoko area, Nakashibetsu Town, and also has a store at Kaiyodai, a sacred place for riders. It is a fluffy and moist baked donut made with Nakashibetsu milk from Hokkaido and homemade honey, and it is characterized by not being deep-fried. You might be able to buy it without waiting in line right now!? It is recommended both as a Hokkaido souvenir and as a small treat for yourself. Next up is an exclusive souvenir from ISHIYA, a famous Western confectionery shop in Sapporo known for *Shiroi Koibito*, limited to New Chitose Airport: An Voyage! Dorayaki (¥297 per piece). This *dorayaki* is made with “Condensed Milk Cream *An*” which is coarse sweet bean paste from Tokachi, Hokkaido, with rich condensed milk cream added, all wrapped in a fluffy and chewy dough. As you can see from its white appearance, the gentle sweetness of the coarse sweet bean paste and the mildness of the condensed milk cream match perfectly, allowing you to enjoy a new texture that is different from ordinary *dorayaki*. The dough is moist but doesn’t easily crumble, and the fact that they are sold individually, allowing you to buy only the necessary amount, is also a great feature. The stores where you can purchase it are Sky Shop Ogasawara, Snow Shop Departure Store, and JAL PLAZA Central Gate Shop—three locations in total. It’s an easily purchasable souvenir where you can truly feel the quality of Hokkaido’s ingredients. Next, we introduce two products from a very popular area at New Chitose Airport, Royce’ Chocolate World. This place has a chocolate factory attached where they actually make chocolate, making it a kind of “chocolate theme park” that’s fun just to look at. The shop offers about 100 varieties of original products limited to this area. The first one is the Royce’ Pop Chocolate (¥216 per stick). It features a total of eight animal characters: bear, cow, horse, deer, fox, rabbit, squirrel, and owl. The colorful and adorable appearance makes it a popular product that delights both adults and children. An “All Friends” set of 8 sticks is also available. And the second is the easily purchasable Royce’ Chocolate World Petit Set (¥567). It’s a mini-set where you can enjoy a little bit of the cute animal chocolates, perfect for small gifts or distributing as souvenirs. Both are limited-edition items that can only be bought at this Chocolate World. It’s a special chocolate you should definitely stop by for when you come to the airport. Now, up to this point, we have introduced “easily purchasable airport-limited souvenirs” that have a long shelf life and are easy to distribute. From here, we will introduce premium New Chitose Airport limited souvenirs that have a short shelf life, but you absolutely must have! …But first, we’ll introduce a convenient service for buying fresh confectionery and refrigerated items at the airport. On the 2nd floor of the domestic terminal at New Chitose Airport, refrigerated lockers are installed near “Kinotoya” on the side of the connecting facility. The fee is ¥400, and the usage limit is for the same day only. The interior keeps a low temperature of 5℃, allowing you to store purchased sweets and seafood products. “I want to pick up everything later” “I want to complete the security check first” It’s convenient in such situations, so please make use of it when buying the premium souvenirs we’re about to introduce. From here, a super rare item that constantly has a line at New Chitose Airport: Sapporo Agricultural College Factory Store’s Freshly Baked Dairy Cheese Cake (¥1,480). This special cheesecake is made by carefully mixing free-range milk from cows raised on their own farm in Hokkaido and carefully selected Hokkaido-produced cream cheese while incorporating air, and then slowly steam-baked at a low temperature. The texture is like a soufflé: moist, fluffy, and meltingly smooth. The rich flavor of the free-range milk is followed by a gentle taste of cheese. The classical “Sapporo Agricultural College” brand mark pressed on top also enhances the sense of exclusivity. “Sapporo Agricultural College” is the predecessor of the current Hokkaido University, a historic name that laid the foundation for dairy farming and agriculture in Hokkaido. The expiration date is 3 days. It can be carried at room temperature on the day of purchase and refrigerated for two more days. It’s known as a “phantom cheesecake” that people want to buy as a souvenir but is difficult to acquire due to the endless lines. And one more limited product that can only be bought at the New Chitose Airport Factory Store: Sapporo Agricultural College’s “Freshly Baked Hokkaido Apple Pie” (¥498). The special pie crust, layered with Hokkaido-produced butter, is double-baked to create a light, crispy texture and a fragrant buttery aroma. Inside, there are plenty of large, diced apples. You can strongly feel the fruit, making it a highly satisfying flavor with every bite. The finish is a rich custard cream made from Hokkaido-produced milk and fresh cream, where the juiciness of the apple and the mildness of the custard perfectly overlap. This apple pie is only sold at the New Chitose Airport store, which has an attached workshop. From freshly baked cookies, cheesecakes, and apple pies, to soufflés, puddings, and standard baked goods, Sapporo Agricultural College is appealing for its wide range of products, all made with a focus on Hokkaido ingredients. The carefully made sweets, which utilize the quality of the ingredients, are now a classic Hokkaido souvenir loved by many people. The expiration date is 2 days. It can be carried at room temperature on the day of purchase, and can be refrigerated until the next day. Next is a limited product that can only be bought at the Kinotoya New Chitose Airport store: “Freshly Baked Blueberry Cheese Tart” (¥320 per piece). This is an airport-exclusive special tart that combines Kinotoya’s signature “Freshly Baked Cheese Tart” with modestly sweet blueberry jam. The crisp and fragrant cookie crust, smooth cheese mousse, and the refreshing sweet-and-sour taste of blueberry overlap, creating a well-balanced and luxurious flavor. Since it’s served freshly baked, it’s also popular as a “reward sweet” before boarding. It can be carried at room temperature on the day of purchase, and since it has a 3-day shelf life when refrigerated, it can also be purchased as a souvenir. Next is the super rare souvenir that is said to be the “most difficult to obtain” at New Chitose Airport: Biei Senka’s “Corn Bread” (5 pieces – ¥1,800). The expiration date is only 1 day! The reason why you still want it is this! There is already a long line before the store even opens! It is baked only 5 to 8 times a day, and only 30 boxes are available per session. In other words, it’s a “test-your-luck souvenir” where timing and luck are everything. It uses an abundance of sweet corn from Biei Town, and surprisingly, the dough is made entirely with the sweetness and moisture of corn, without using any water. One bite and it’s crunchy! Juicy! Sweet! It’s truly “bread that tastes like you are eating corn straight.” The presence of the corn, packed tightly into the fluffy bread dough, is incredible! Since the baking time varies by day, whether you can get it truly depends on your luck. The ultimate “phantom bread” that can only be bought at New Chitose Airport. If you manage to get this, you are definitely a winner! By the way… there is also the even rarer “Mame Pan” (bean bread) that sells out before the store opens. Next, we introduce an item available at Jotetsu Hokkaido Honpo: Mireika’s “Sapporo Catalana White Peach Mascarpone” (¥1,566). The best-before date is 90 days when frozen. Mireika is a popular Sapporo brand known for its unique style of “sweets that are completed by freezing,” using Hokkaido ingredients. Among them, the “Sapporo Catalana” series is a signature product appealing for its rich flavor, made with plenty of Hokkaido-produced fresh cream and egg yolk. The airport-limited flavor, White Peach Mascarpone, has a refined taste where the richness of the melting mascarpone overlaps with the juicy fruit flavor of the white peach. With a quality like a restaurant dessert, it’s perfect for those looking for “a slightly upscale souvenir.” And my recommended way to eat it is “half-thawed.” It’s rich and smooth yet refreshing like an ice cream pudding; the deliciousness is such that your spoon won’t stop. It also has a gorgeous appearance, making it an airport-limited masterpiece that you can confidently give to sweet lovers. Next is a limited sweet from “Royce’ Chocolate World” on the 3rd floor of the connecting facility, which can only be bought here: Milk Truffle (3 pieces – ¥702). The estimated shelf life is about 30 days (refrigerated). The fact that it’s easy to take home as a souvenir is also a nice feature. Inside the pure white truffle, like white snow, there is a smooth and rich chocolate cream finished with Hokkaido-produced milk. The outside is wrapped in white chocolate rich in milk flavor, and finally dusted with sugar powder, making it a modestly sweet item. At “Royce’ Chocolate World,” which is only at New Chitose Airport, many limited-edition products are available, and it also features a chocolate factory and museum. It has become a popular spot that’s fun to see and delightful to shop at. Pure white like snow, with a rich and gooey center— truly a luxurious truffle limited to the airport. What did you think?
