有馬館・初代館主 須藤清蔵（すとうせいぞう）が、かみのやま温泉・新湯地区で新たな
温泉掘削に成功し、1921年（大正10年）に宿を創業。
Mr.Seizo Suto, the founder of Arimakan, successfully drilled a new hot spring
source in the Shinyu area of Kaminoyama Onsen and established the inn in 1921.
当時の源泉井戸からは、毎分216リットルもの大量の温泉が湧出しました。
At that time, a large amount of hot spring water, as much as 216 liters per minute,
gushed out of the source well.
その時の温泉の湧出場所に作ったのが、この大浴場「金の湯」です。
The bathhouse “Kin no Yu (Golden Spa)” was built at the location where the hot spring
water gushed out at that time.
