【山口観光】穴場スポットを発見!山口旅行で長門市のグルメと観光を堪能しました!山口ドライブ旅行vlog
Good morning. My three-day, two-night trip to Yamaguchi has flown by and today is the last day. The beautiful building you can see in the background is the Straits Dream Tower. It ‘s amazing no matter how many times I see it. I’m currently in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, but today I’ll be sightseeing in Nagato City, Yamaguchi Prefecture . Is it the northern coastal side? I guess that’s what I’m saying, but I’ll be sightseeing there and then heading south back to the airport, so I’ll be setting off straight away. Thank you, Shimonoseki. I won’t be able to come back to Shimonoseki today, so I’ll burn this view into my memory before I set off . I set off and drove about 10km. According to the navigation system, it looks like I’m heading towards Tsunoshima, then turning east and entering Nagato City. I’m taking the same route as yesterday until halfway. I’m 67km away from my destination. I can see the ocean on my left and it’s really beautiful . It’ll take a while, about two and a half hours . I’ll have 60km left to my destination, so I’ll keep going straight on Route 191. As I thought, it takes about two and a half hours from near Shimonoseki Station to Nagato . According to the navigation system’s route, I wonder if it’s faster to take the local roads . I thought it would definitely be faster to use the expressway , but I don’t have a sense of the area so I have no idea, but here I am, Kawatana Onsen. I’ve come to the area around Kawatana Onsen Station. There’s still 50km to go from here , so it’s quite a distance. But if I go a little further, The scenery along Route 191 is amazing, so let’s take a leisurely drive while enjoying the view. I don’t have anything planned around here , but it looks nice too. I’d like to stay at an inn, take a dip in the hot springs, and wander around the hot spring town. Here I come, here I come to the sea. No matter how many times I see it, it’s amazing. I just saw it yesterday, but it’s amazing. If I saw it two days in a row, it would be even more impressive. There was a fisherman just below me, standing on a rock and fishing. Are there a lot of people who fish around here? There is a parking space, so I wonder if a lot of people park and fish around here. We’ve come out to the coast again, which is even more impressive. The sea feels really close . It’s 30km to our destination. When we get to Toyokita, the roads are empty, but we’re on the local roads all the way, so it will take quite a while, or rather, just as the navigation system says. From here, we enter a mountain road. When we go on a driving trip, But it’s better if there are curves and mountain roads at regular intervals so you don’t get sleepy. If there are good curves, slopes and a spectacular view, you won’t get so sleepy . If the road is like this all the way , it looks like there won’t be any convenience stores for a while. If you turn left here, you’ll reach Tsunoshima Bridge. Today we’re sightseeing in Nagato City, so we’ll go straight. There are still 23km to our destination . We’re here – we’re still in Shimonoseki. Shimonoseki City is really big. Wow, something’s on fire . It’s scary! Smoke . We’ve driven quite a bit, I think we’ve driven about 50km. It’s about time to stop at a convenience store for a break. We’ve come out to the seaside. Wow , it’s open. It suddenly feels a little brighter than before. If only it would clear up a little more. Is Nagato City from here ? No, we’ve entered Nagato City. We’ve entered Nagato City, Yamaguchi Prefecture . There’s a place that looks like a private beach. After going a few kilometers, we’re 12 kilometers away from our destination. Beautiful rural scenery spreads out before us , but there are no convenience stores at all . There are no convenience stores for a long time. After going a certain distance, we emerge onto a mountain road and it feels like a town is emerging. There are more houses and buildings here and there . I wonder if there will be a convenience store soon. Amazing. It feels like there should be a convenience store, but there isn’t. There is a Daihatsu, though. Amazing. The scenery here is really beautiful. The rural scenery is amazing. It’s difficult to pass other vehicles from here onwards, so we’ll ignore the navigation and follow the signs. It’s dangerous to follow the navigation system’s instructions. I think my first destination for today is Motonosumi Shrine. I’m heading to Motonosumi Shrine now, which was founded in 1905 and is located on the Sea of Japan coast in Nagato City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. There are signs and it’s easy to follow, and I recommend following the signs to tourist spots that look like they have narrow roads. If you follow the navigation system, it might be close in a straight line, but it’s incredibly narrow, so you might end up on a wonderful view . From here, 5-6km is Motonosumi Shrine. Wow, it looks like something is burning, and it has an amazing atmosphere. There are only 2.3km left to my destination, and it was a long drive. I drove 70km, which will take about two and a half hours. The remaining 3km or so will be like this. The mountain road continues like this, and it’s not that narrow, so it’s probably not impossible for oncoming vehicles to pass each other. Apparently Motonosumi Shrine is only open on weekdays in September, October, and November , and is closed on weekends and holidays . It’s been two years since my last visit. When I came here two years ago, there were loads of stink bugs flying around the whole time. It seems there aren’t any this year because it’s so cold. If you’re not on a group tour bus, you can just pass each other . It’s so crowded after 9am, and I’m sure there are a lot of people who come to Yamaguchi Prefecture to see this view. It wasn’t super crowded. It was more crowded than I thought, but not super crowded. I’ve arrived. Wow , it’s been a long 70km drive, and I’ve finally arrived! So I’m off to visit for the first time in two years. It’s so crowded even at 9am. Apparently you can’t enter until 9:30am, so for now, 近江市サンキ 海底遺跡 English: We head up to the rocks. There are 123 torii gates , and if you come from this side you’ll be at the rocky area. Amazing. It’s before 9:30 but there were people walking around (I wonder if this is the only place where it’s OK?). The Ryugu Shrine’s Spouting Water. Ryugu Shrine is the general term for the sea erosion topography of this area. It’s said to be made of andesite that is 2 million to 10,000 years old. The sight of the beautiful red torii gates lined up was refreshing even from the side. At this time of year, you can only visit on weekdays, so it’s very crowded from 9am. I tried to find a moment where I could take a photo. It’s like hell and heaven. This side is like heaven and this side is like hell. It’s like the Sai no Kawara of Osorezan , with stones piled up. On the other hand, this side has a heavenly atmosphere. Even before 9:30am there are a lot of people. It’s a huge group tour. I guess tour buses arrive just in time for the visit. There are a lot of foreign tourists. This is not a spot where you can take a leisurely photo. It’s quite crowded . We walk to the edge of the rock cliff and this is what it looks like . Is this the Spouting Water? It’s amazing, there’s no fence so it’s dangerous, but it ‘s at your own risk The torii gate is amazing but this side is amazing too It’s a thrilling and scenic spot It gets cold if you just stand there Ah , this side is also a path of some kind It’s scary It’s half past nine so it looks like we can pray now More and more people are walking around Inside the torii gate It’s time to pray so shall we go and pray This is bad It reminds me of the day before yesterday It reminds me of when I fell two days ago It ‘s so lame lol It’s dangerous to go down from the left side (I should learn this soon) There are absolutely no stink bugs this year What a wonderful year But surprisingly I have to climb the stairs Wow Wow It’s quite steep It’s a bit slanted so it hurts my knees It’s getting dangerous, I ‘m out of breath , and we made it to the top while talking. Ah
, but it’s quite far away. Looking at it like this, the number of people has increased in an instant. Two years ago, there was a donation box here at the top, and if you could throw in a donation, your wish would come true, but it’s gone now. If you get through this, you’ve overcome the obstacle . Put your right shoulder down, turn sideways, and stretch your right hand out in front of you and move forward , so my partner took on the challenge . Can we make it ? It’s a really surreal sight. It’s like a scene from a movie where the Inari god with big ears comes out of a drain. If you whisper your wish into his ear, it might come true. Wow, that ‘s great. Thank you, Motonosumi Shrine . There’s a parking lot. It’s really crowded, it’s a one-way street so I think I’ll just keep going straight. I didn’t check how much the parking fee is, it looks expensive. It would be better to charge a fee here and then maintain it properly. The parking lot is also amazing, it’s stylishly designed, how much is it, 300 yen. You can’t turn right and go through. Next, I’ll go to Senjojiki nearby , take in the view, then move on to the city and have lunch. There’s a security guard, so it’s nice, and considering there are two security guards, 300 yen is a bargain. This is a route I haven’t taken today. I mean, it gets narrow for a while, isn’t it? It’s narrow , but the view is good so I know there won’t be any oncoming traffic for a while, which is good, but it’s tough when you do come across one. On the way to my next destination, I took a slight detour and came all the way around, but along the way I saw Higashi Ushirohata, one of Japan’s 100 best rice terraces. It’s amazing, the horizon is like this, and that, and that , this is the narrow road I just took. The road between this reservoir and this area was really narrow, the rice terraces were nice, and then we headed to our next location. About three kilometers from here is a place called Senjojiki, which has a great view, so we’ll stop there before heading towards the city. The scenery around here is nice, but the road is narrow, so we’ll drive carefully, watching out for oncoming traffic. We’ll climb up, I think there’s a campsite in Senjojiki, so if there are any campers there , I’d love to share my food (why?), amazing ! The road is wide and comfortable to drive, and we’ve arrived , it’s so open! We’ve arrived at Senjojiki, 333 meters above sea level. Well, this is simply a place with a great view, so we’ll take a commemorative photo and the sightseeing will be over in no time, but there was an observation deck, so we decided to go up. That’s where we took the commemorative photo earlier . This is what it looks like from the observation deck. There are athletic equipment, swings, and a bunch of chairs and tables here, so is this the campsite? The weather is cloudy today, but the view was still amazing. I wonder how many kilometers I’ve driven since then. I’ve come out of the mountain road and am now near Tadanohama Beach. I’m heading towards Nagato City Station, and the station is just 3 kilometers away. It’s so beautiful . If you go left of the river here , you’ll reach Nagato City , so I’ll go to Nagato City Station first to take some photos of the atmosphere in front of the station and then go to the road station. If you go right at this traffic light, you ‘ll reach Nagato City Station. If you go straight, there are sites that say Oumijima and Oomijima . I wonder which one is which . There are a lot of sightseeing boats. Is the sightseeing boat dock also there? It’s also possible to eat something here and take a sightseeing boat. It’s really crowded. I arrived at Senza Kitchen . Next, I came across This is Senza Kitchen Roadside Station. It’s a very large roadside station with many restaurants and a large selection of souvenirs. There’s a wide variety of prepared foods, and considering that you can have a barbecue for 90 minutes for 200 yen at Rainbow Kitchen, it’s possible to eat at a restaurant, but it’s also possible to have fish made into sashimi, buy meat , and eat the sashimi while barbecuing. After thinking about it , I decided to have ramen here and yakitori here. This area is like a food court, so you can also eat food from other restaurants. I wonder what Senzaki ramen is like. It’s light and pretty tasty, but not heavy. I think a lighter ramen like this will allow you to eat a variety of things. The meatballs , chicken, chicken, and burdock root, and chicken thighs look delicious. I’ll start with the easy meatballs ! Next, I’ll have the chicken thighs. Yup, delicious. Lastly, chicken, chicken , and burdock root. Was it chicken, chicken, and burdock root sticks? 食べましたか? English: The flavor of burdock, sesame and sweet and spicy sauce are delicious . After eating ramen and yakitori , I’m not sure if I can eat sushi. I’ll walk a bit and then try sashimi next time. Maybe I should have some seafood next time. The view is nice. This sushi looks delicious (it has the best reviews). I ‘m glad I had sushi here instead of ramen and yakitori lol. Oh, this is a takeaway burger, surprisingly. I was actually planning to get sushi but I’m a little full so I bought one hamburger each for takeaway (in the opposite way). I bought a fried horse mackerel burger and a mackerel mince burger. The mackerel is in a mixed sauce of tartar sauce and teriyaki sauce. Let’s eat it while it’s hot. Looks good. This is fried horse mackerel. Is this mackerel mince cutlet? And this is fried horse mackerel. Let’s eat it right away. It ‘s so delicious! The tartar sauce is overflowing! It’s so crispy and delicious! The bread is good too! Next up was the Spanish mackerel, which was delicious. It ‘s a matter of taste, but personally, I’d say it ‘s 8:2 with Spanish mackerel mince. No, maybe 9:1. It’s delicious. The fried horse mackerel is also good. It’s not that the fried horse mackerel isn’t delicious, but the minced meat cutlet is so good . The first minced meat cutlet has an impact, so at first I thought it was delicious, so it was 8:2, but now it’s about 6:4. Wow, I ate a lot . I didn’t have breakfast today, so I ate quite a lot . Then, this roadside station sells sweets, so I think I’ll have some after-meal sweet time. Looks good. These coffee beans are delicious . These coffee beans are delicious . This is the first time I’ve eaten these beans. Are they real coffee beans? This is a high-end coffee jelly parfait. It’s delicious . Next, we’re going on a sightseeing boat. The Kannon-do course is a 60-minute course that costs 2,400 yen per adult. You need to fill out a passenger list. There are five courses available. Today, due to the swell of the waves, they’re taking this course. When I got here and came back, I could see that Senza Kitchen is really spacious . I think I could spend 2-3 hours just in Senza Kitchen. I went shopping. 海が待ち遠しいですね! English : After eating dinner, going to different gourmet restaurants and enjoying sweets, we went on a sightseeing boat ride – it was great . The beautiful port town loved by Kaneko Misuzu and the abundant ingredients of Nagato were completely off my radar, but the hot springs here look good too. It looks like it’s going to be rocky, amazing , there are drink holders and pockets, and we’re about to depart . The window rolls down as I turn the handle, and here you can see the Kannon statue with its hands together facing the rocks . We’ve now come further north, and the scenery continues to be insanely beautiful. This is a spectacular view that you can only see on a boat . I opened the window just 10cm, but the splashes were less than I thought they would be, so I was able to take some beautiful photos. Then as we went further out to sea, the waves got quite intense. It’s amazing, it’s like an attraction, and from this point onwards it started to sway quite a bit. This is apparently called the Bat Cave, and it looks like a bat with its wings spread. In fact, it seems that many bats live there too. It’s also known as the Golden Cave. If there were no waves you could go all the way to the back, but that didn’t seem to be possible today . The cave is 80m deep, the entrance is 13m wide, and the gate is 17m high. You can see all sorts of patterns, but are they really the cliff faces drawn by nature? My name is Makuiwa. It was apparently formed by volcanic activity. It’s truly art created by nature. There are many patterns that look like murals from ancient ruins. I arrived at the Kannon Cave area and stayed quite a long time. It’s been a while since I’ve stayed in the same place for three hours. It’s been a while since I’ve been on a boat, so I got seasick. I took pictures without looking at the screen, so it was better, but I still got quite seasick. Thank you. Senza Kitchen. It felt like an attraction. The end was fun. For the first time in my life, I’m heading to Aomijima, an outlying island in Nagato City. This is the Aomi Bridge . I cross the Aomi Bridge and land on Aomijima. It only takes a moment to land. I still have a little time, so I’ll head over to the island’s observation deck, where I hear you can see the view. The view is amazing, and the view from here is nice too. About another kilometer there is a campsite and beyond that there is a parking lot and then you have to climb the promenade to reach the observation deck, or is this the paid parking lot ? There are no cars parked there (maybe it’s closed?) According to word of mouth there seems to be a free parking lot a little further on, but is this really a parking lot? It looks closed, so we headed elsewhere. Then, there was a parking space a little further ahead, so we decided to walk there and take a walk around Aomijima, it’s nice and relaxing, time passes slowly, is this a restaurant, is it a floating restaurant ? The former site of a floating restaurant? It’s not a unique sight, but apparently there’s a sidewalk around here that goes off to the side The grass has grown so long on the sidewalk that you can’t walk on it and cars are whizzing by so it’s scary The view of the sea is really beautiful It says “Ah, the nature trail” There are 12 explanatory signs along the way that explain rare rocks and plants Well, I guess I’ll walk as far as I can Since I ate a lot earlier, it’s all uphill the whole way I walk Stairs appear , it’s quite a slope, but it’s amazing The road is beautiful and well maintained Oh, it’s downhill from here Go up and down again Oh, wait, isn’t trespassing prohibited? Surprisingly, it’s not off-limits! Course a Course b It splits into two here Course b is this If you climb up, Course a is this Can you go left? It ‘s off-limits here There were stairs here I can go this way Shall we go to the observation deck? I’ll guard against the spider webs with my smartphone as I go. I haven’t walked yesterday or today so it ‘s good exercise. Wow, this is bad There are so many strange bugs What’s this? This isn’t the observation deck We’ve arrived We ‘ve arrived Is this the first observation deck? Is it the third? Wow, what a nice view, amazing Amazing They’re flying all over the place Wow, this is bad There aren’t about 50 of them? 海を乗りました。 English: What a wonderful view! An incredibly spectacular view! The boat took us about halfway. It took 60 minutes to go all the way over there and then turned back around at the back, so we didn’t come by boat this way. It ‘s a wonderful view. Below is a beach. There are tons of bugs and if you walk a little further, I think this is the second observation deck. It’s a little broken here and there but it looks like you can go further this way. Wow, the sea is so beautiful! It’s so clear it looks like you can go quite far back. Put your cigarette in the designated ashtray. This ashtray is a smoking area. Isn’t this the official view spot? Wow, this is so much more beautiful! We’ve arrived at the view spot. Kamomeiwa can be seen to the left. It ‘s a little hidden by the trees but this place is beautiful too. The back is also very beautiful . An amazing, spectacular view. I was debating whether to land on the island but I’m glad we came. It’s easy to get there once you cross the bridge and it only takes about 15 minutes from the roadside station we were at earlier so it’s definitely worth coming. The sea on the northern side of Yamaguchi Prefecture, I guess you could call it the Sea of Japan side, it ‘s beautiful. The sea from Shimane to Tottori is also beautiful . Amazing! It’s like a secret cave, it’s a very remote location , you see scenes from movies where people are washed up on a place like this and start their life on a desert island (what movie is that?). It ‘s even more beautiful with the naked eye. The road is well maintained and easy to walk on, but you can still get the feeling that it’s a remote spot. It’s pretty safe to walk on, which is great. The road is wide so there’s no need to worry about spider webs. And then we made it back to the seaside. It’s amazing no matter how many times I see it. There are sea urchins, they’re just naturally found around here – I wonder if they’re tasty – there are loads of them lol Starfish? I discovered something wonderful , and then I went back to Ube Airport. I’m here now, in the northernmost area of Yamaguchi Prefecture, around Omijima Island, so I’ll just have to squeeze in from here. I’ll go to Mine City and then to Ube City, which is a huge distance of 76km , so I’ll head back towards the airport and enjoy the last part of my driving trip. Let’s go, say goodbye to Omijima. Thank you. I’ll cross the bridge. It’s so amazing, so beautiful. I think I’ve gone about 10km since then, and I come across Nagato Yumoto Onsen, a huge hotel , and they also have day-trip hot springs. I’ve gone quite a bit into the mountains, but it’s thriving, or rather open, is this area a hot spring town? There are hotels and inns lined up. The river is beautiful. There is a promenade right next to the river. The atmosphere is great . It has a bit of a Kusatsu Onsen vibe, which I had no idea about . Then we went through the tunnel and entered Mine city from Nagato city. Yamaguchi is pretty nice. The sea, mountains, and scenery are great , and the roads are surprisingly easy to drive on. There are many wide and straight roads, like Shimonoseki and Nagato. If you go back and forth between south and north , the distance you travel will be enormous, but there’s not much stress in driving. It’s perfect for a road trip. But it’s all about the food. The only thing you have to decide is where and in which area to eat lunch and dinner. 帰りました。 English: I think it’s best to decide in advance, but if you end up wondering where to eat and what to eat on the day, you’ll come across some mountains and there are no convenience stores or supermarkets along the way, so as long as you keep that in mind, I think it will be a very enjoyable trip. Oh , and we drove a little over 20km, so we decided to take a break at the Ofuku Roadside Station. We also came here on the first day. Is it already two days ago ? Two days have passed since then ? Time flies. It looks like the shop is closed, so we’ll just go to the toilet. This croquette was delicious. It’s delicious, so I recommend it. After driving about 60km, we entered Ube City. It’s 16km to the airport. It’s past 5pm and it’s getting dark all of a sudden. We found a delicious-looking restaurant near the airport, so we’ll have some seafood gourmet at the end of our trip. My partner found this restaurant through research and apparently they serve sushi. I haven’t looked at the menu so I’m not sure what they’ll have, but they apparently have sushi. Let’s have sushi at the very end, eh ? 帰り ま した。 English: Well, I had just decided to go, but it was a no-go. They said it was fully booked, which means it must be delicious, but it was fully booked and I couldn’t go. And I had finally managed to hold it in, so it was awful. I seriously thought I’d be able to go to the toilet, but then they said it was fully booked and I was so shocked that I thought I might leak my pants. I returned safely to Ube Airport . I had an injury on the first day and a lot of things happened, but somehow I managed to get back safely. I’m so glad . There’s still about an hour and a half until my flight, so I’ll have dinner at the airport before heading back to Tokyo. When I came here two years ago , there was an Evangelion here . Udon is just right, after all. My partner ordered curry. My trip to Yamaguchi was amazing. I bought this at the place where it all began. They only had rolls , but it was half price, so if it was all for 500 yen, I’d be so happy. This time I enjoyed the food and sightseeing of Nagato City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
