We’re driving to Gero Onsen in Gifu! 🐸♨ Tonight’s stay is at Suimeikan! 💮
I heard it’s super famous! We booked a no-meal plan this time 🌙 Let’s kick off the room tour! The room is super spacious and cozy… And check out this amazing view! ✨ Even the in-room bath uses natural hot spring water! ♨️✨ Suimeikan has three big public baths! 🛁 There’s even an open-air bath and a panoramic bath! ✨ The fact that the room bath is also natural spring water… amazing! It felt so good I ended up soaking forever ♨️ As expected from one of Japan’s top three hot springs!! Outside, there’s a beautiful Japanese garden. With lots of koi swimming around! Had to show off this huge catch! (lol) This place is sooo relaxing!! We’ve arrived safely—welcome to Gero Onsen town! ✨ Let’s take a stroll around the hot spring streets 🐾 Loving these retro, cute vibes. Looks like there are tons of shops ahead,
so let’s explore! Here’s a local Gero Onsen cosmetics shop. There was hot spring water flowing at the entrance! Finally made it to the famous “Gero Pudding”! 🍮🐸 Look for the cute frog sign 💚 Here’s what we got:
🍮 Classic / Retro / Matcha / Strawberry 🍓 They looked so cute and tasted amazing—highly recommend! ♡ Snack time—Curry bread! 🥰 Found a shooting game spot on the 2nd floor above the bakery!
We HAVE to try this 🔥 The place is called “Thermae Shooting.” Turns out it’s run by the same folks as Gero Pudding! Aim for the duck and win a prize! 🦆 I’m so nervous about not hitting the staff guy (lol) Too serious about this (lol) My “nailed it” face And the result… HUGE WIN!! ✨ Big thanks to the staff for the extra goodies ♡ *Clearly hyped from the shooting game* Ordered some Hida beef sushi! 🍣 The beef just melts in your mouth—so good! Next up: a standing sake bar 🍶 Nothing beats snacking while strolling around! Roast beef topped with a soft-boiled egg. The vibe was great and the food was delicious 💙 Hida beef steak 🥰 “Bathing cow” 🐮 (lol) So glad we got to fully enjoy Gero Onsen in just one day! Dinner was Hida beef hitsumabushi 🍽 First, enjoy as is. Next, add toppings 🌿 Finally, pour broth over it for the ultimate finish ✨ Such a luxurious dish with fun flavor changes! And that wraps up our relaxing trip to Gero Onsen! ♡
