【山口観光】下関のグルメと観光を巡るドライブ旅行が最高すぎた!山口旅行vlog

Our destination this time is Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Shimonoseki City is located at the westernmost tip of Honshu , a city of straits and history blessed with nature and culture. It has flourished as a city connecting Honshu and Kyushu. It is connected to Fukuoka Prefecture on the opposite shore by the Kanmon Bridge and tunnel, and there is also a rare undersea pedestrian tunnel in the world. Shimonoseki is also wide vertically, and in the northernmost area there is the Tsunoshima Bridge, famous for its spectacular views. The coast faces west, so you can also enjoy a sunset drive. This time we will enjoy Shimonoseki’s gourmet food and sightseeing on a road trip. Please watch until the end. Good morning. I am currently in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture. The Strait Dream Tower is incredibly beautiful. It is just before 7am . Today , I will be mainly sightseeing in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Shimonoseki is incredibly large . Even just around Shimonoseki Station there are many tourist spots, such as Karato Market. So off I go. What a beautiful morning . Amazing 💩 It looks like it ‘s going to rain really hard. No need to worry about the atmosphere of this town of Shimonoseki. I don’t know if it’s the atmosphere of the roads and sidewalks , but of all the cityscapes of the places I’ve traveled to so far, this atmosphere is pretty impressive. This spacious atmosphere is really great. This atmosphere is really amazing. It just so happens that the sun is shining brightly tomorrow . Today is Tuesday , so I’m not sure if they’re open because it’s Tuesday morning , but there are some set meal restaurants that open from 6:30, so I think I’ll eat there. Arrived at Karato Market . Amazing! The morning sun is dazzling , and it seems like it would be really crowded on weekends, but it’s only 120 yen for 30 minutes , so I came to Karato Market. It’s such a great location! Look at this amazing view. The bridge, the sea, palm trees, sun, and mountains, everything is in one place. What a view! The sunrise is amazing. I’ve always seen sunsets, so this is so fresh. This is the place. The Karato Sushi Conveyor Belt. I wanted to eat sushi here, but they only serve lunch, from 11am to 3pm. On this trip, the schedule didn’t work out, so I couldn’t eat there , so I’ll look for some takeout sashimi or something. At first glance, it seems like they don’t sell sashimi around here, since it’s Tuesday and it’s still early in the morning. So I’ll have breakfast at a restaurant. By the way, Karato Market is famous not only for pufferfish, but also for sea bream and yellowtail. They also sell fish caught and raised by local fishermen, which is apparently a rare sales format nationwide, so I really recommend this market as it’s delicious. It’s open from 11am to 3pm. It ‘s not open in the evening, but unfortunately I can’t eat there today, but the market restaurant , Maguro to Kame today’s lunch We were planning to have sushi, but thought it might be ok to eat here, so we went in. It seems you buy tickets from a ticket machine, and we were shown to a table seat. We were just about full, and it was a huge success from the morning. Then the sushi arrived. It was a set of eight pieces of sushi, perfect for breakfast. Next came the sashimi set meal, which also came with tempura . The nigiri sushi set was 1,200 yen, and the sashimi set meal was 1,850 yen. Now it was time to eat, and the rice was delicious, too. I glanced over at my partner, and he saw that they had only two pieces of sushi left. Maybe whale? The whale bacon had a slightly unique flavor, but was also delicious. The view here is seriously beautiful. I also found a huge, realistic looking pufferfish in a place like this , so I took a commemorative photo. I was planning to get takeout, but ended up eating it at the restaurant. It was so good! The sashimi set meal was delicious . The scenery was tropical and it looked warm, but it was cold today. So, I decided to start my road trip right away. I had some good food this morning, and my stomach was full, so my road trip started. Shimonoseki is really big. My final destination for today is about 50km from here . I’m heading to the Tsunoshima Bridge, which is famous for its spectacular views. I’m on a road trip to Tsunoshima Bridge. And in Shimonoseki, I unexpectedly had my first ever Starbucks coffee drive-through – a Starbucks on a trip ! This road is so beautiful. My final destination for today is Tsunoshima, but there is a view spot about 20km from here, so I’ll stop there for a while. The weather was nice today, so I’m glad. This is on the left. When I got there, I got to Shimonoseki Station, and on the right was Hagi. Go straight to Hikoshima. After a few kilometers, I arrived at the coast. The coast is really beautiful. Wow, it’s hot! It’s sunny and quite cold outside . Today, when I was in the car, it was really hot just because it was sunny. What can I say? This is Kokkottoi . Apparently that’s how you read “Kottoi”. I’ve been to Karato Market last year, but it’s been two years since I’ve been to Tsunoshima, so this is only my second time here. I don’t remember it very well, but the weather is nice , so I’m looking forward to the view. We have 16km left to our destination. I’ll continue on Route 191. Wow, it’s so beautiful in the distance . I can see the ocean. Oh, this place is really nice. The mountains, ocean, and road in the background are all downhill, so it’s easy to see the ocean even with a camera . We’re now 10km left to our destination. We ‘ve come out to the coast again. It ‘s so beautiful. Route 191 is what you might call a driving course, and it’s a continuous coastal road with great views. At this time of year, the leaves are changing color , and the mountain scenery changes dramatically. The colors are great. There’s a beautiful beach. Oh, there’s a ramen shop. Sapporo Ramen Dosan. I remember this road a little. We’ve come to a point where we have 5km left to our destination. This is Prefectural Route 245 , and it’s the first checkpoint. Our destination is the westernmost point of Honshu. A beautiful rural landscape spreads out before us . Wow, what is this? Sunset Diner Aqua looks really good. SunsetThe road starts to narrow from hereOh, there’s somethingThere, a huge sign comes into viewThe westernmost point of HonshuFrom here on, it really becomes a mountain roadBut it’s not that narrowI think there was a parking lot at the end of this road along the fenceI remember this somehowI can see this roadThe westernmost point of HonshuBisha’s noseBisha ? Bisha? I always thought it was Bisa’s nose lol It was Bisha’s nose so I decided to walk to the very end as a post-meal exercise. Arrived and there’s a song from a YouTube channel (it’s funny if anyone knows it). From the parking lot to the observation deck, you walk straight up the slope like this. I think it’s about a 5-6 minute walk. My wrist, my wrist is in bad shape. It’s like the first person view in Resident Evil. Yesterday I fell. I messed up the landing and fell, hurting my wrist. And then, I arrived at the westernmost point of Honshu for the first time in two years. And after two years, I found out it’s not Bisa’s nose but Bisha’s nose. Well, it doesn’t matter either way, so I arrived. There’s no lighthouse here, but there is a lighthouse (art object). And the westernmost point of Honshu This is the view from here . It’s not a cloudless day, but it’s still a nice view. It’s a bit cloudy over here, but it looks nice. The island you can see in the background is Futaoijima, I believe. The sacred island of Okinoshima, a World Heritage Site, is on the left, and Ainoshima Island. Futaoijima looks the most beautiful, and since it’s so close, this side is also beautiful. The autumn leaves are a nice mix of red, yellow, and green, and the gradation is nice. The curved beach is beautiful, but this jagged, or rather , eroded shape is also beautiful. This is what 360 degrees looks like. It’s much colder today than yesterday. By the way, the westernmost point of Honshu is here in Yamaguchi. It’s Bisha-no-hana in the prefecture , but the westernmost point of mainland Japan is in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture. I think I only wrote about the most hectic points on the mainland, but I also went there when I visited Sasebo on my trip to Nagasaki , so if you’re interested, please check out the video of my trip to Nagasaki. I’ve done quite a few road trips to Kyushu, Shikoku, and western Japan, so please check out my other videos too. Even if you don’t have a selfie stick, you can place your smartphone on this stand and take commemorative selfies. Also, the memory notebook is amazing . I think it’s only available this year. It’s from October, so it’s quite recent. A lot of people have visited in just one month . I came from Kanagawa… Many people have come from Kanto and Tohoku, and some have come from Osaka. So, let’s have a little sweet time . Moist pound cake with fruit. Ripe banana. Mine City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Yesterday I went sightseeing in Mine City, and at the Ofuku Roadside Station.帰りました。 English: This is what I bought there. I also have some coffee I bought at Starbucks. It looks delicious. The aroma of bananas fills my mouth . So , off we go. Next, we head north about 30km from here . Just before Tsunoshima Bridge, there is a roadside station with a restaurant. The seafood at the roadside station looked delicious, so we’ll head there right away. It’s about an hour’s drive from here . If we go a little further, we’ll reach the coast, so I think we’ll be able to enjoy a spectacular coastal drive. Kawatana Onsen, this area is also quite prosperous. After going a few kilometers from where we were, we came out onto a road alongside the railway tracks like this. To the right is a rural landscape, and to the left is the railway. It’s not a view spot, but it’s straight and uphill all the way, and the scenery is very unique. We’ve reached a point 11km from our destination. From here, the coastal scenery comes into view again. The scenery on Route 191 in Shimonoseki is nice. It’s getting cloudy , so I hope it clears up a bit . I want to drive all the way along the coastline, like drawing a line in one stroke. I wonder how many days it would take. From Oma in Aomori Prefecture to Kagoshima. It would probably take a year to travel all along the coast with Cape Sata as the goal. I then came out onto a road that runs along the coastline. It’s a little scary because the sea is right there. I headed for a roadside station where I could enjoy some delicious seafood while enjoying a drive along the coast. And now I’ve reached the area around my destination. I can see it! Roadside Station Kitaura Kaido Toyokita. Apparently you can eat sushi from 10am, but it’s already 10:30 now so it might be quite crowded. Can I park somewhere empty for now? Wow, is it
some kind of food stall? 店のおいしいお野菜とおいしいお酒を楽しみました。 English : There are lots of small shops and Tsunoshima is nearby, so this place must be popular . It seems like a lot of people eat lunch here. Arrived, so I’ll take a look at the items for sale before heading to the restaurant. There are a huge selection (I’ll introduce them later). Scorched rice crackers, soy sauce flavor. The soy sauce flavor has been delayed so only salt flavor is available. For now, I’ll buy some scorched rice crackers since I’m here. They look delicious. I’d like to make rice balls with them. These three are apparently the roadside station’s top recommendations. I can’t drink alcohol so I think I’ll buy some pudding and rice crackers. The pudding can be stored at room temperature. It ‘s November now and will last until February. If you like shochu, you should definitely buy this when you come to Yamaguchi. I’m also interested in Fukunohire Sake. It contains this soy sauce, which looks good too. This looks good too. Shimonoseki Whale Crackers. Yamaguchi Prefectural Governor’s Award. Is this the sweets section? It would make a good souvenir. This is a cute roadside station Hohoku. Is it that? It’s the roadside station at the very end of Honshu. They also sell Kawara Soba noodles . There are many varieties of Shimonoseki’s specialty fugu series. Next, I went to the seafood section. This can be eaten as is. There is also a prepared food section. However, since there is a restaurant, I will eat there this time. They also sell sushi. The nigiri sushi from the fishmonger is amazing. Today’s live fish: red snapper, flounder, stonefish, and head fish. They apparently make fresh fish into sashimi. Filleted fish is 100 yen, and sashimi is 300 yen. I think it’s okay to have this made into sashimi. It looks delicious. It’s a bit crazy to say this looks delicious (I feel like a psycho). These are frozen products. They sell a variety of negitoro, whale, and fugu. They also sell meat. It would be great for people who like barbecues and camping. Amazing . They also sell turban shells and abalone. Easy tsuboyaki at home. It’s quite easy. This is an original product of Hohoku Roadside Station. There are 20 pieces, but it’s only 480 yen. What a sales figure! It’s apparently number one, and the shopping bag says “Hokkun” on it too. This is the restaurant. The view from the restaurant is also amazing. The seafood is good, but this sea bream cutlet curry looks delicious too. It’s limited in quantity, so it will end when it’s gone . The mixed fry set meal is also available. I’m curious about the curry lol. I buy them from the ticket machine. They are 1,000 yen and 2,000 yen respectively. The table seats look like this and are quite spacious. The view from the seats is amazing. In the distance is the Tsunoshima Bridge, which is 1,780 meters long and is one of the longest public roads in Japan that you can cross for free. From here, the sea doesn’t look that blue, but from the bridge it ‘s really beautiful. So, looking forward to it, we’ve arrived. Tsunoshima Bridge Udon rice balls are also included. There’s something on top of the udon. This can’t be Hokkun. And I’m full! The nigiri sushi has arrived, so I’ll start with the tuna. The miso soup is delicious , thick and has a nice sweetness to it. I’ve been eating nothing but sashimi and sushi yesterday and today, so I’d rather have some udon instead. These long, thin things are tentacle tempura . I haven’t eaten any noodles on my travels recently, but udon is delicious too. Udon is delicious. Udon feels just right no matter what mood you’re in. Udon is delicious even when you’re not hungry right now. And I think this is amberjack. It’s really great to be able to eat sushi while looking at a spectacular view. What’s more, you can have free refills of this miso soup. The miso soup is delicious . It’s great to be able to eat sushi in a place like this, but the sushi starts at 11am, and the restaurant itself starts at 10am. : The sushi was delicious. The roadside station, Kitaura Kaido, Hohoku Hokkun . It’s kind of cute and has an addictive design. Wow, this roadside station is definitely worth a visit if you’re in Shimonoseki. They have a wide variety of souvenirs , prepared foods and sushi for sale , you can eat at the restaurant, and the view is great. Those who subscribe and rate the channel highly will have even more power in terms of financial luck and fortune. And finally, we cross the Tsunoshima Bridge. I guess you should go right in front of the bridge, but since it was a Tuesday, it didn’t seem to be very crowded. The roadside station was pretty crowded. When I talked to the assistant stationmaster, it seemed pretty crowded, but he said it was still relatively empty. It really is beautiful. The sea. If there’s space to park above this, there was no space above. Look at the beautiful view of Tsunoshima Bridge. Looking from above, there is a view over there too, but this is different. You’re looking from a slightly higher position, so wow, it’s so beautiful here. A wonderful, spectacular view . Wow
, there was a beach here. So beautiful . It looks like a car commercial. From the parking lot in front of the bridge, it looks like this. It’s more beautiful if you go up there from before . 海 が き た ま う … Let’s cross! Let’s go ! Amazing! The sun is shining in just right , it feels amazing! What a wonderful view! So, we’re going to cross the 1,780m long Tsunoshima Bridge . There’s no toll, you can cross for free. There are a lot of people taking commemorative photos here too, so we’ll just pass through here. I’ve never been to the observation deck here. Speaking of which, it’s been two years since I last landed on Tsunoshima. From the Tsunoshima side, it looks like this. The entrance side of the bridge is definitely more beautiful because there’s shallow water, or should I say a beach. But from this side, the slope of the bridge is really impressive. If you zoom in, it looks really steep. 帰りました。 English: Amazing! After going a little further we discovered a beach It’s so beautiful A beautiful beach on Tsunoshima What is this ? Sea breeze village Tsunoshima I wonder if they sell souvenirs and other things here Can you just walk down to the beach from there ? Sea breeze village Tsunoshima Get Tsunoshima cider When you come to an island you feel like drinking a carbonated drink What is it Tsunoshima fish burger Looks good I’ll take a look Maybe I should buy some gelato They don’t have homemade gelato I’m full so I can’t eat any more I’ll just show this to let all the viewers know This is Tsunoshima Shokudo They have seafood bowls and sashimi set meals I think I ate here when I first came to Tsunoshima two years ago Is there a park behind the Tsunoshima Lighthouse? There’s a shrine on the edge and I remember the atmosphere of the torii gate there was also nice This is Tsunoshima Lighthouse parking lot Paid parking 300 yen Since I’m going to walk through the park anyway I think it’s around here Come on I think there’s a parking lot around here too It’s 300 yen so it’s fine Whatever I remember last time I came I was chased by a bee and ran all the way here to escape Arrival Kitanagato Coast Quasi-National Park Tsunoshima Should we climb the lighthouse for now? I gave up on the lighthouse because there were some steps and a ladder which was dangerous for my knees. I wonder if it’s like a dog run. I have really strong legs . From here I went out onto the road and I felt like there was a torii gate. There was a torii gate. And if I go further in there, what was it called, there is a shrine. It’s nice, it feels like an island, it’s a wonderful view. It’s been a while since I walked over such a steep place and I came all the way to the torii gate. When I came here two years ago, there were lots of bees, but maybe it’s because it’s cold this year, there aren’t any. There is Yumezaki Myojin Shrine, and they’re there again this year. Are there two beehives ? Around here is that Shiokaze Village we saw earlier. The beach where we were drinking cider earlier is much more beautiful. The sea looks black here because of the stones, but it’s still beautiful. I only recognise this part of the A-melody lol . Next, I cross the Tsunoshima Bridge and : I’ll go back and have a burger as there seems to be a cafe with a nice atmosphere. I’ve been eating a lot of seafood so I’m heading across. Yay ! The view is amazing! It looks best when you come down from a high position. My stay was short but it was fun. Thank you. Tsunoshima and Tsunoshima Bridge are amazing. It ‘s really crowded . This beach is also beautiful and blue. Apparently there’s a cafe nearby. Nice view and good atmosphere. The parking lot isn’t here. There seems to be a parking lot up ahead. Is it in a residential area ? It’s not this. Maybe this is it . This is the parking lot . The atmosphere of this fishing port is really nice. It’s really sparkling. I ‘ll have breakfast at Tsunoshima Oz Burger. The inside of the restaurant is really stylish like this. There are table seats , sofa seats and even a hammock. I’ll post it on Instagram. Full Stomach Gourmet Campaign. The atmosphere is great. You can faintly see Tsunoshima Bridge from here. Delicious coke with a stylish flavor. It ‘s really difficult to eat but it’s delicious. Wow, this was delicious. The sauce and cheese are good, but the seasoning is also good. Plus , this bun. The bread sandwiched between them is very chewy. It was amazing. It was an addictive feast! And it was so delicious that I ended up taking out fries for 650 yen! The huge portion of the potato burger was also delicious, and I’ll talk about that later. Let’s enjoy it. The burger and fries were amazing , and the view is beautiful. I’m going to drive another 50km and head back to Shimonoseki city. It will be just after 5pm then, so I think I’ll go to a spot where I think I can see a beautiful sunset. The coast of Shimonoseki is all the way to the west, so there’s a theory that if you head out to the coast somewhere at the right time, you can see a beautiful sunset. The Shimonoseki invincible theory (I don’t know what that means lol). Tomorrow I’ll be sightseeing in another city, so please take this opportunity to subscribe to my channel and watch the next video. I’m thinking of going back to the city, or watching the sunset around the halfway point. I saw the night view yesterday, but Kamon Wharf and that area are also really beautiful. I’m 40km away from the city. There’s a path of light on the sea. The sun is so strong that it lights up the sea, it’s amazing. If you go about 2 hours or 1.5 hours before sunset, it’s amazing. The view on this road is nice. This place is seriously amazing, it’s amazing , but the sunset is really nice too, isn’t it? This road is nice today too , and I found a spot on the way where I thought I could see a nice sunset, so I watched the sunset there and took a commemorative photo, and then I found a fish shop nearby that will make sashimi platters if you make a reservation in advance , so I was able to make a reservation and got a sashimi platter to go. I got a sashimi platter from the sunset, and today I’m going to take home some fries and sashimi that I bought earlier, and one more thing , so it’s starting to feel like a party, and today I’ve seen a beautiful sunrise and a beautiful sunset, what a great day, it’s the best, it’s so amazing, it
‘s seriously so beautiful, is this a parking lot? I could have parked there, but I hesitated , it’s no good if I get carried away, I had asked my partner to go on the road trip , so I was worried about how it would look in the photos But anyway, it looks really nice, it looks amazing, it looks really nice , and I’m sure I can probably park a little further down the road – it’s not just the right time. It might be the first time in my life that I’ve seen a beautiful sunrise and then a beautiful sunset in the same day. Plus, when you’re traveling, you have to get up early and it has to be sunny – it’s impossible if it’s not sunny in the morning and evening . This bridge is amazing – is n’t this bridge amazing too ?
This bridge, sunset, and sea are so emotional. There are some people fishing here too. This is some kind of fishing spot. Wow, this line, this straight line . Perfect timing. Yunagi Park is truly a wonderful place worthy of its name. Oh, it ‘s like a factory night view, like a factory sunset . It’s surprisingly bright, amazing . I might be able to take a better picture with the 4x zoom on my iPhone 17 Pro. Damn, it sank into the mountains. And then I arrived at the fish shop. I’m looking forward to some sashimi. And before I knew it, it was dark just before 6 or after 5:30. And then I was in Shimonoseki city, 14km away. I do some groceries at the supermarket in the area around the station and then head back to the hotel. Tonight is Hello Day, and I’m doing some groceries again. I’ve finished my groceries and it’s time for a bit of a night view, so I head back to the hotel and before eating dinner I’ll go up to the Yume Tower. This is my first time climbing from this side, I always come around from some weird place, this is the first time I’ve seen this, this is my third time in Shimonoseki , and this is my third time around here , but it’s the first time I’ve seen it. The Yume Tower is lit up, but it’s still early, or do they not light up at 6 o’clock ? Wow, this place is so nice, such a wonderful view. The lights will probably be up around 7pm, it’s only 6:36pm. So I head up. I get my ticket, which is 600 yen per adult. It’s November now, so it’s open from 7pm to 9pm. : Apparently the colour changes depending on the day of the week . Today is Tuesday so it’s green. Let’s climb, keep climbing, keep climbing, keep climbing. It ‘s been a while since I last came here but it’s pretty high . No matter how many times I look at it, the view is amazing. This place is amazing . We’re on the 30th floor now, the 29th floor is the Refreshment Corner, and the 28th floor is the Lover’s Sanctuary Corner . What’s the Refreshment Corner again ? We’ve arrived at the Lover’s Sanctuary Corner. Is it the Lover’s Shrine ? There are all kinds of matchmaking shrines. This matchmaking shrine connects lovers, of course, but also friends, family, and all sorts of other people . It’s very close to the sky so I’m sure your wishes will be heard. Try drawing a fortune slip thinking of the person you want to connect with. It’s like a love fortune telling. So this was Yume Tower. Thank you for coming ! Oh, it was scary ! I felt like I was floating! My heart was beating fast! When I came downstairs, the illuminations had started. Wow, what a great presence! Let’s go back to the hotel and have dinner. This waterfall and stairs are nice. Well, the spectacular view of nature is nice, but this totally man-made view that gives you a sense of civilisation is nice once in a while too. It’s really beautiful from this side so it’s time for dinner. It’s nice to have something like this once in a while. Everything was delicious. It’s also a good idea to reserve a sashimi platter and take it out. This is a line-caught red fish, and it’s delicious. The flavor comes up to your nose after a while , and it’s delicious. There’s no odor at all . It’s also good to eat it using a sashimi platter at a local fish shop . As for the pudding, I ate it after taking a bath, so I suddenly look like a guy with glasses, but it was delicious as expected. It was just right after a bath. I’m up early again tomorrow and will be sightseeing on my way back to the airport, but first thing in the morning I’ll be mainly sightseeing in Nagato City. If you haven’t already, please take this opportunity to subscribe to my channel and look forward to the next video. Thank you for watching.

  1. 海峡タワーいいですし、唐戸市場は、週末握り寿司多数あります。魅力ありますが、9月は、中国人、韓国人が多くて、買えませんでした。
