【京都紅葉vlog】朝の南禅寺から永観堂ライトアップまで!絶景と有名グルメを巡る秋の一日|岡北|ブルーボトルコーヒー|金地院

Hello, this is Mini. This time, I’m bringing you the autumn scenery around Nanzenji Temple. The autumn leaves at Nanzenji Temple are uneven in places, but they’re well on their way to changing color. By the time this video is released, they’ll likely be at their peak. The mixture of red, orange, yellow, and green shining through the sunlight is truly beautiful. The colors are beautiful this year, so you might even hear Ishikawa Goemon’s “What a breathtaking view!” I love Tenjuan. The leaves are beautiful even from the outside. The garden offers a stunning gradation of autumn colors. While a blanket of bright red is beautiful, the blending of light and dark colors is even more beautiful. I find myself sitting and staring at the beautiful garden. I personally love the moss and fallen leaves. The colors change a little later in the back area. Surrounded by trees, it’s a quiet, tranquil place where it’s easy to take a deep breath. The Japanese architecture, pond, and autumn leaves create a truly Japanese autumn scene. Tenjuan is beautiful any time of year, but autumn is a time of exceptional color. The area around Suidobashi Bridge is often shaded during the day, so the colors were a little later. The canal waterway was just beginning to turn a faint shade of red. The heart-shaped leaves resembled a color chart. I also went to see the Hojo garden. The magnificent autumn leaves peeked out from the corridor. The maple trees were so large I had to look up. It would be a spectacular sight when they all turned red. The gradual change in color really made me feel the passing of the seasons. If I had a garden like this, I’d always like to gaze upon it from the veranda. Of course, I’d love to bring a cushion and a lap blanket and just lie down! After a leisurely stroll through the Hojo garden, it was just before noon. The temple grounds were getting quite crowded, so I decided to move on. As I left Nanzenji Temple, I saw a sign for a temple that caught my eye. I decided to visit it after lunch. The autumn leaves along the canal at the zoo were also developing beautifully. This restaurant is next to Yamamoto Menzo, which I ate at in the Summer Kyoto video. It’s also a famous restaurant. It’s famous for its “Tentoji” (fried shrimp tempura), but I couldn’t decide what to order… After much deliberation, I decided on the Oyako Namba. The fragrant broth, infused with the flavor of chicken, is topped with a fluffy egg. The gentle broth is warming… and delicious! The “Ama Kitsune Curry” is curry udon with sweetly cooked fried tofu. The thick curry mixes well with the sweet fried tofu, making it piping hot and delicious! The noodles are thin but chewy, and the more I chew, the happier I feel. I ordered a mini egg bowl as part of the set. The egg was also fluffy here. The gentle broth warmed me up nicely. Thank you for the meal. With my stomach full and comfortably warmed, I returned to Konchiin Temple, where I had been earlier. Located right next to Nanzenji Temple, it’s a sub-temple of the temple, but it’s a hidden gem with no crowds. It’s a very comfortable space for someone like me who doesn’t like crowds. While the street directly outside is busy, the interior is secluded and quiet. It’s also home to Ieyasu’s Toshogu Shrine, a rare sight in the Kansai region. Inside, a roaring dragon hangs on the ceiling, and the Thirty-Six Immortal Poets are depicted on the transoms! The luxurious interior is a must-see. The dry landscape garden is meticulously maintained and truly beautiful. You can gaze upon it from the veranda or gaze upon it through the framed sliding doors from inside. Just spending time here seems to clear away all distractions. The emptiness allowed for a relaxing time, and I felt refreshed. Having refreshed myself, I took a break at a nearby cafe. Housed in a renovated Kyoto townhouse, the cafe has a homey, comforting feel. Actually, they only recently started serving coffee (and only with milk). Having coffee broadens my options, which is a welcome change. I especially enjoy cafes that create latte art for each cup. The cafe latte and hot chocolate are both delicious. The cafe is crowded, so I think I’ll wander around a bit. Although it’s a little less vibrant than cherry blossom season, the Incline is a popular spot. Perhaps because of the sunshine, the leaves are already falling. The dreary atmosphere is also quite pleasant. Our next stop was the evening illuminations. It was almost sunset… but the sun had completely set, and it was time for the evening illuminations. It’s long been said that “Eikando is the place for maple leaves,” but this was my first time here at this time of year. It’s still a little early for the leaves to turn red, but some are already starting to change color. The illuminated maples in the dark are a beautiful sight. The bridge in the background is called “Gokurakubashi Bridge.” Perhaps it was named for the view from the bridge. It certainly seems like paradise when the entire view from here is in full color. The illuminated autumn leaves reflected in the mirror were so beautiful that it made me think so. The pond in the foreground and the pagoda in the distance are also incredibly beautiful together. The scenery reflected in the pond is also mysterious, almost blurring the line between here and there. Eikando is truly beautiful, as you’d expect. There are a lot of people, but I think it’s a little better if you go later in the day. However, it gets cold at night, so be sure to take precautions against the cold. I think the main season is just beginning. Be sure to enjoy the enchanting scenery. This time, we’ve brought you the autumn leaves around Nanzenji Temple. The surrounding area is beautifully colored, making it the perfect season for leaf-peeping. Enjoy the few remaining autumn leaves. See you in the next video.
