パリひとり旅vlog🇫🇷 – カフェ・パン屋巡り、グルメ、美術館、ショッピング、スーパー
Hello, I’m Chihiro. This time, I’ll be sharing my four-day trip to Paris. Paris is the capital of France. I started my sightseeing at Gare de l’Est! I took the metro to Île Saint-Louis. After getting off, I crossed the Pont Marie. The Seine River was beautiful on a clear day. Île Saint-Louis is lined with stylish cafes and restaurants. First, I went to Berthillon. Berthillon is an ice cream shop founded in 1954. They offer takeout, but they also have a cafe. I got a seat with a view! I chose the number of ice creams and toppings I wanted. The ice cream flavor of the day was displayed on the screen. In addition to ice cream, cakes and breads are also available. This is what I ordered. I ordered a double ice cream (9.5€). It was topped with a generous amount of cream. The whipped cream was light and slightly sweet. I ordered pistachio and black sesame, but it tasted like banana. The banana was not too sweet and fruity, and the pistachio was rich and delicious. Apparently, they mistook the two for black sesame because the colors were similar. The black sesame flavor was a little weak. I chose a cafe au lait (4€). It was a smooth, mildly bitter coffee. After eating three ice creams, I was full. I crossed the bridge and headed to the left bank. Construction is still underway behind Notre Dame Cathedral. While the interior is still under construction, restoration work has been completed and it’s now open. Filming is taking place at the foot of the bridge. Just across the bridge is the restaurant Tour d’Argent, which inspired the Disney film “Ratatouille.” Next, I went to Diptyque. Diptyque is a fragrance brand founded in Paris in 1961. Their candles and perfumes are popular. They have a wide variety of scents to try. For lunch, I went to Alliance, a one-star Michelin-star restaurant run by a Japanese chef. I ordered the three-course meal for 95€. For drinks, we had a sweet wine, “Coteaux de L’Aubance (20€)” from Le Domaine de Montgilet. First, fresh spring rolls filled with cheese and passion fruit. The cheese sticks had a strong cheese flavor. The cheese bread was crispy and delicious! Next, we had lollipops and tarts. The lollipops were saffron-flavored tarts. The tarts were topped with vinegared vegetables. The moussaka was chewy and had just the right amount of spice. Next, we had tuna with white asparagus sauce. The tuna was fresh and the sauce was creamy. The bread was crispy and buttery. The next bread was chewy and springy. They poured mushroom sauce over the potatoes. The sauce was packed with the flavor of mushrooms and was absolutely delicious! The potatoes were very soft. For meat, we had lamb. The lamb was soft and odorless, with a fragrant skin. The sauce was sweet and delicious! The first dessert was grapefruit foam. It had a unique fizzy texture and was filled with a cool mousse. The second dessert was French toast. It was moist French toast topped with floral-scented ice cream. Finally, we had madeleines, chocolate mousse, and strawberry gummy candies. We also received souvenirs. Everything was delicious, and it was a very satisfying lunch. We walked along the Seine. The shops along the Seine had a lovely atmosphere. We approached Notre Dame Cathedral. We crossed the bridge and headed toward the Île de la Cité. Notre Dame Cathedral is a masterpiece of medieval Gothic architecture, built over approximately 200 years. Since we had been inside last time, this time we only saw the exterior. We crossed the bridge and headed to the Right Bank. Paris has many parks. Next, we went to 59 Rivoli , an art space that can be said to be a symbol of art and liberty. Admission is free. The building was originally a ruined bank that had been abandoned for many years. In 1999, artists illegally occupied the space and began using it as a studio. Initially known as “La Friche” (the ruins), artists lived and worked from the basement to the rooftop. The unique energy and chaotic atmosphere garnered attention, and with the support of Parisians, it was legalized. In 2006, the city of Paris purchased the building and officially renovated it as a cultural facility. In 2009, it officially opened under the name “59 Rivoli.” Currently, approximately 30 permanent artists are active here. The six-story building is painted like a canvas, with open studios on each floor, allowing visitors to watch artists at work up close. The top floor offers a view of the blue sky from the ceiling. Artwork is also available for purchase. Now, let’s go down the stairs and return to ground level. It was a delightful space, with art everywhere. Take the metro to Montmartre. Here’s a typical French croissant candle. Arrive at Abbesses station. In front of Abbesses station, you’ll find the “Je t’aime” mural. “I love you” (Je t’aime) is written in 311 languages and dialects. Montmartre is a hilltop district in northern Paris. Known as the “heart of Paris,” it blends art, romance, and cafe culture. Around the 3rd century, the Christian missionary Saint Denis was executed here, hence the name “Montmartre” (“Martyrs’ Hill”). A monastery was built here in the Middle Ages, and the area developed into a religious center. In the late 19th century, many artists flocked to the hill, drawn by its low rent and beautiful scenery . World-renowned painters , including Picasso, Monet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Modigliani, and Utrillo, lived and set up studios here. Artists, poets, and musicians are said to have conversed night after night in cafes and cabarets. For dinner, we went to La Maison Rose, a charming pink restaurant also featured in “Emily in Paris.” It’s a popular restaurant, so we made a reservation. The interior is charming. The restaurant’s logo is cute! I ordered the 37€ appetizer, main course, and dessert course. The wine was Domaine Bonnet-Huteau Pinot Gris (7.5€). The main course was veal breast with a sweet and sour sauce of creamed mouget beans. The veal was slowly simmered in parsley butter and white wine, with a hint of herbs. It came with roast potatoes. For dessert, I had Basque cheesecake. The cheese was rich and delicious, topped with a passion fruit sauce. The main course was just average, but the service was excellent. Montmartre is full of cute buildings and is a pleasure to walk around. Comfortable shoes are recommended as there are many slopes. The roses are so pretty 🌹 It’s so bright, but it’s just before 8pm. I entered La Savonnerie de Montmartre, a specialty store for soaps and cosmetics. Colorful soaps from Provence are lined up, including spray-on soaps. Body care products made with donkey’s milk (aniseed milk) are said to have excellent moisturizing properties. Next, we head to the Sacré-Coeur Basilica. It is a Romano-Byzantine style building that combines Romanesque and Byzantine styles. The Sacré-Coeur Basilica was built in response to France’s defeat in the Franco-Prussian War of 1870-1871 and the civil war and political turmoil of the Paris Commune (1871). The idea was to build a chapel in Paris symbolizing “the nation’s redemption and rebirth.” Multiple architects were involved in the project, with successors continuing to revise the design and carry out the construction, resulting in a total construction period of nearly 40 years. The stained glass is beautiful. The mosaics depict many saints and symbols. There are stained glass windows in a variety of styles. The light filtering through the stained glass is beautiful! Even at night, there were lines due to the popularity. From Montmartre Hill, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Paris. The fence is lined with padlocks. Many people sit on the stairs listening to music. Listening to music with the Parisian view in your hand is exceptional. We descended the stairs. The view changes depending on the height. The Sacré-Coeur Basilica is beautiful from below. There’s a fountain halfway up the stairs. You can enjoy a leisurely view of Paris from the benches. At the base is a merry-go-round. This retro merry-go-round began operating in 1879. It’s also a popular photo spot. The hotel I stayed at in Paris was Hôtel Les Deux Gares. Hôtel Les Deux Gares is a one-minute walk from Gare de l’Est and a three-minute walk from Gare du Nord. I stayed in a double room – superior with shower. The interior was adorable, like something out of a movie. The bathroom had adorable red and white tiles! There was no bathtub, only a shower. I could see Gare de l’Est from the window. For breakfast, I went to the hotel restaurant and had French toast and crepes. Then, I headed to my next hotel. My next stop was Maison ELLE Paris, a boutique hotel designed by the famous French fashion magazine ELLE. It ‘s within walking distance of the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées, making it a great location for sightseeing. The interiors were stylish throughout. There were no bathtubs, only showers. After a short rest, I went to Le Village Café for dinner. It’s a French restaurant. We ordered a variety of dishes to share. The first appetizer was a Caesar salad (19€). The egg mayonnaise (8.5€) had a rich yolk! For the main course, we had beef tartare (23€). It was rich and delicious, blended with various herbs like parsley, chives, and capers. The Steak à Cheval (24€) was a steak topped with an egg. For dessert, we had crème brûlée (9.5€). It had a rich vanilla flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. It was so delicious, I almost missed it. For my after-meal drink, I had a cappuccino. The La Sablésienne sablés had a slightly salty taste, which I loved. For breakfast, we went to the hotel restaurant. We had madeleines and croissants. I felt like I was being watched. We passed through the Arc de Triomphe to reach our destination. We arrived at the Palais Galliera, the Paris Fashion Museum. The building was started by Duchess Galliera with her own funds. The exterior incorporates Italian Renaissance design. Admission to this fashion museum is 14€. There are both permanent and special exhibitions. The permanent exhibition focuses on the evolution of fashion, but we’ll start with the special exhibition, which focuses on ski and winter sports fashion. Ski resorts began to develop in the early 20th century. With the boom in ski resorts in the 1920s, brands like Hermès began selling clothing specifically for winter sports. Magazines also embraced this trend, featuring ski models on the covers and pages of their winter issues. Modern skiwear is also on display. It’s unique and fun to look at. Next, we move on to the permanent exhibition, which focuses on the history of fashion. Clothing is displayed by decade. This is an ivory fan from the 1750s. In the 18th century, people began to recognize the importance of health, and exercise became popular. This is an early swimsuit from the mid-19th century. With the development of railroads in the 19th century, clothing suitable for travel emerged. With the arrival of automobiles in the early 20th century, clothing for riding in automobiles became popular. This is horseback riding attire. The habit of cycling developed in the 1870s. During the 1910s, World War I led to shorter and simpler clothing. In the early 20th century, as beachgoing became more popular, swimwear became lighter and shorter. The 1924 Olympic Games were held in Paris, with 135 women out of 3,089 participants. Apparently, women were allowed to participate in only a limited number of events. Sportswear also evolved over the years. The 1920s was the golden age of embroidery, and women wore luxurious evening attire. During the war in the 1940s, wool and leather became scarce, leading to the use of synthetic fibers. Tennis wear also evolved with the times. In the 1980s, a powerful, broad-shouldered silhouette emerged. In the 1990s, high-tech materials and minimalist designs became popular. Labels from various manufacturers. The 1950s overcame the hardships of war and rediscovered a sense of femininity. In 1917, Converse designed a basketball shoe specifically. In the 21st century, the connection between fashion and sports has become firmly established. The museum has a cafe. You have to go outside to get to the museum’s garden. I arrived at the garden. Admission is free. The flowers were blooming and beautiful. A market was open on the street in front of the museum. They sold flowers in addition to food. This was the meat section. There were whole chickens lined up. There was a bakery. They also had cheese and other dairy products, making for a very fulfilling market. I traveled by metro. On the way, I stopped by the Catherine Labourée Gardens. Whenever I see a park, I can’t help but want to stop in. There were roses and all kinds of flowers blooming. There was a vegetable garden within the park. It was a lovely park with all kinds of flowers blooming. Next, I went to La Grande Épicerie de Paris, the gourmet section of Bon Marché . I already knew what I wanted to buy, so I headed to my destination. First, I bought some sablés from La Sablésienne. Next, I bought Les biscuits apéritifs from Gavottes. I also bought my usual pastis and baba au rhum. Next, we went to La Maison d’Isabelle, a popular bakery that always has a line. They’re famous for their croissants, but they also have cakes and sandwiches. We got loads of croissants! We also bought pain au chocolat and apple pie. Next, we went to Ha Noi 1988 Ca Phe, a sister cafe of the popular Vietnamese restaurant Ha Noi 1988 on the Île de la Cité. While they primarily serve drinks, they also serve meals. We ordered a set of bob mun and lemon iced tea (15.4€). Bob mun is a cold rice noodle salad topped with warm beef and spring rolls. However, this bob mun did not come with spring rolls. We mixed everything together. The soy-based seasoning really brought out the flavor of the meat, making it delicious. The nuts added a nice texture. The lemon iced tea was sweet and sour and delicious. Next, we went to Aroma Zone, a natural and organic cosmetics store. I bought a serum for dark spots and pores. Next, I went to L: a Bruket, a natural skincare and body care brand from Sweden. I had run out of my usual bergamot/patchouli hand and body wash (36€), so I bought this. Tired from walking, I went to CHĒZ Coffee&Co. They serve drinks and sweets. It was hot, so I had an iced latte (5.5€). It tasted like coffee milk. The coldness was refreshing. It was a popular cafe with a constant line. Next, I went to the Church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. This Catholic church was founded in the 6th century. The murals and frescoes, repainted during the 19th-century restoration, are gorgeous. The intricate stained glass is beautiful! The pipe organ is impressive. I took the bus to the Opera. I went to Kyoko, a Japanese grocery store. It has two floors and is filled with Japanese ingredients. They have a wide selection of ramen. I bought cup ramen and tteokbokki. Ace Foods is a Korean grocery store. I bought ramen and black oolong tea there. Both the octopus kimchi and squid kimchi were delicious. I took the metro to the 15th arrondissement. I bought Rare Beauty blush (Worth) at Sephora. I went to a Japanese hair salon, cissor O’sola, for a haircut. I tried to return to the Arc de Triomphe by metro, but an event only allowed me to go as far as the Trocadero. Since I was there, I decided to stop by Place de la Trocadero. You can see the Eiffel Tower from the square. It’s a popular photo spot where you can see the Eiffel Tower from the front. Because the Paris soccer team, Paris Saint-Germain FC, was competing in the UEFA Champions League final that day , the area around the Arc de Triomphe was closed to traffic. Everything was blocked, and I couldn’t even get to my hotel. I went to the Monoprix supermarket. Supermarkets are so fun, I end up staying there for a long time. I bought waffles, cheese, and other items. I also bought some PG tea from the UK. Garnier conditioner has a lovely coconut scent. For dinner, I went to T thaï food. My lunchtime bobung didn’t come with spring rolls, so I got revenge. I had the shrimp bobung (12€). It was filled with spring rolls, onions, bean sprouts, carrots, lettuce, and more. The fish sauce made it even more delicious, and the spring rolls were crispy and delicious. Afterward, Paris Saint-Germain FC won the championship, and I heard cheers from all around. Then, fireworks were going off on the Champs-Élysées. I was so happy to be able to see them from my hotel room. I really wanted to watch them outside, but I was too scared to go outside, so I decided not to. The fireworks lasted quite a long time. Good night. For breakfast, I went to the hotel restaurant. I had pain au chocolat and madeleines. I went to Pleincœur in the Batignolles district of the 17th arrondissement. It’s a patisserie by the famous pastry chef Maxime Frédéric. The cake display was stylish. The cakes were large and all looked delicious. They also had a selection of spreads and chocolates. My favorite mousse cake was the Tarte aux Fraises (strawberry tart) (10.5€). The tart was flaky and rich with strawberries. Lactés had a wide variety of flavors, including vanilla, chocolate, and hazelnut. Each one was 2.4€, and they were refreshing and perfect for breakfast. Next, I went to Jeffrey Cagnes, a boulangerie and patisserie with several locations in Paris. All of the cakes looked delicious! I bought a croissant (1.4€) and a pain au chocolat (1.8€). On my way home, I stopped by Café Dose, the busiest brunch cafe in the area. They also offer takeout. The chocolate chip scone (3.4€) was soft and delicious! I chose a cafe latte. I returned to the Arc de Triomphe. After Paris Saint-Germain FC won the championship, the area around the Champs-Élysées was in a terrible state. Shops were destroyed everywhere and many things were on fire. This is the end of today’s video. Thank you for watching until the end.
