Hi everyone! I’m Naru! I’ve come to Kanazawa in Ishikawa Prefecture! Ishikawa Prefecture is divided into four areas:
Noto, Kanazawa, Hakusan, and Kaga. (Noto, Kanazawa, Hakusan, and Kaga.) Kanazawa flourished as the castle town of the wealthy Kaga Domain, and is one of Japan’s leading cultural cities. Because it escaped war damage, samurai residences, chaya (teahouse) districts, and temple areas from the Edo period remain miraculously intact. Traditional culture still breathes here today. Famous spots include Kenrokuen, one of Japan’s three great gardens, Higashi Chaya District, a preservation district for traditional buildings, and Omicho Market, known as Kanazawa’s kitchen. And about 30 minutes by car from Kanazawa city… is today’s hidden highlight! Yuwaku Onsen. Known as Kanazawa’s “inner parlor,” this hidden hot spring was discovered from a legend 1,300 years ago
where a white heron was healing its wounds. It has a history of being loved as a therapeutic bath for the Maeda family,
the lords of the Kaga Domain. (History of being loved by the Kaga lords) Furthermore, this time we are heading to the Kaga area. The Kaga Onsen area consists of four hot spring towns:
Yamanaka, Yamashiro, Katayamazu, and Awazu. (Yamanaka, Yamashiro, Katayamazu, Awazu) Among them, we visited Yamanaka Onsen this time. It’s a famous hot spring where the poet Matsuo Basho composed a haiku, praising the scent of the water. A walk while viewing the beauty of Kakusenkei Gorge is a must. And at Natadera Temple, founded in the first year of Yoro (717), we will explore the temple grounds, known for the unique rock formations called “Kigan Yusenkyo” and as a famous spot for autumn leaves! Look! Here’s a question! “There is a Yamanaka dialect word ‘Tempona’.

C. Amazing / Wonderful Let’s go to Kurotani Bridge quickly! Let’s walk through Kakusenkei Gorge! Matsuo Basho stayed here for 8 nights and 9 days
during his journey “The Narrow Road to the Deep North,” and praised it, saying, “The joy of travel is here.”
It is a scenic spot in Yamanaka Onsen! Carved out by the Daishoji River over a long period of time, it’s a gorge of about 1.3km. You can enjoy superb views of the four seasons,
from fresh greenery in spring to autumn leaves. Kakusenkei is beautiful! I was surprised how close the river is! I thought we’d be looking down at the river and the valley from higher up! True! Those hotels over there look nice too! This is amazing! It’s nice to be able to stay while watching the river flow and looking at the scenery of Kakusenkei! I want to stay there someday! I wonder if Matsuo Basho walked this path too? I wonder if he thought similar things… There’s moss too! The moss is super beautiful too. The water seeping out! Water was springing out. The maple leaves are turning red a little. Just a little more? Maybe next week? Next week might be the peak! The promenade is well-maintained so it’s easy to walk. It’s a creative bridge!! We won’t cross it on our route, but let’s cross it since we’re here! It’s pink and cute! It’s curved. It’s really winding! It really is. Now, here is a question! Suddenly! Who is the character good at Ayatori (Cat’s Cradle)!? Hint! Doraemon. Doraemon!? Who? Dekisugi-kun? No way. Should I say the answer? A little more hint. With Doraemon… Ah! Glasses! Nobita-kun? Is he good at Ayatori!? Answer: Nobita-kun. That’s unexpected. That was the Ayatori quiz~! What is that? It’s so high! We returned to the promenade again! I wanted to go to the Kawadoko (riverbed terrace) if we had time! We are out in the town! This is our final destination, Korogi Bridge! Korogi Bridge is apparently made entirely of cypress. Is that so. Yes it is. It means it’s made of wood? It’s gorgeous. The autumn leaves are beautiful around here! Really! It’s super beautiful! Yellow? Yeah! Red and orange too. The foliage is beautiful! The maples too! I’m hungry so let’s have lunch♪ The cheese is amazing! Delicious! It’s super delicious!! The cheese is rich, and this tomato isn’t sour! It has sweetness, and it’s super delicious! Since it’s cooked on an iron plate, it’s piping hot. There’s corn in it too. So yummy! Good! Wait, the Napolitan… My Napolitan spaghetti… You’re eating it without saying anything! Haha. Let’s eat! It feels nostalgic. My Napolitan… Without saying anything… Yum! The acidity of the tomato is just right. The noodles are thick and chewy, it’s delicious. Cheese? There’s egg in it too. Delicious! That was the right choice. It is delicious. The coffee brewed with a siphon was also delicious! Leaving Yamanaka Onsen, we are now heading to Natadera Temple! The sky is so vast. It sure is. Turn right there, right. Apparently, Natadera Temple gets really crowded during the autumn foliage season! Seems like it. I wonder how crowded. It’s scary. It’s Sunday too. Probably super crowded. Right. Ah! Can’t we see Mt. Hakusan? Over there on the right. It’s super beautiful. Shall we stop here? Shall we stop? Masa’s photographer spirit has been ignited! Haha. The cirrocumulus clouds are distinctive. I have a bad feeling… The road to the parking lot is jammed… The time is now 1:13 PM. We’ve made it to the parking lot entrance. It’s super congested. Wow! Amazing! The entrance is also very crowded with people. I never thought it would take about an hour. I thought we could get there in about 15 minutes. But I’m glad. It looks like we can get in safely somehow. Founded by Taicho Daishi in the first year of Yoro (717), this is a famous temple of Hakusan faith with 1300 years of history. “Kigan Yusenkyo,” designated as a national place of scenic beauty, offers a magnificent view like a landscape painting woven by white rock surfaces and greenery. You can enjoy the beauty of each season! You can do the “Tainai Meguri” (Womb Passage) in the main hall! The view from the observation deck is nice too! It’s amazing. It’s nice how the autumn leaves are between the rocks! It’s like autumn leaves, rocks, then autumn leaves! It’s sandwiching the rocks! Haha. That’s nice. It’s rare. To see scenery like this. Awarded one star in the “Michelin Green Guide Japan”! The Tainai Meguri was interesting too! I’d like to come during the green season too. The fresh greenery must be beautiful too, right? True. Better when there are fewer people. Yeah. There are a bit too many people. Natadera Temple → Yuwaku Onsen
Approx. 60 mins by car This is a hideaway hot spring inn located at the very back of Yuwaku Onsen, known as Kanazawa’s inner parlor. The hot spring is a weak alkaline “beauty bath” gentle on the skin, and you can enjoy it as much as you like, 24 hours a day. It’s a really nice room! I was surprised! There are two rooms. Looks like we can really relax. The sweets are amazing too. They said it’s Yuzu Monaka (wafer cake). Oh really. And Matcha. They said the bath is open 24 hours too. That’s nice. Doesn’t seem like there are many people in the hot spring town either. We can enjoy it quietly. We will have dinner in the room! The sashimi has arrived! Speaking of Hokuriku, it’s sashimi. Fresh seafood! The tuna looks delicious! It’s fatty and super delicious. It has a nice texture too, I feel it’s fresh! It’s early but I’m sleepy. Eh! You were filming!? Let’s cut that part. I’ll cut it. I’ll keep it in. Cut it. I lost to Masa’s pressure… Haha. Deep-fried lotus root sandwich. They say there’s shrimp inside. It’s shrimp? Shrimp inside the lotus root? Shrimp between the lotus roots. Shrimp in the lotus root holes, right? Huh? You put shrimp in the lotus root holes… No. They cut two thin slices of lotus root and shrimp paste is inside them. That was a funny joke just now. It wasn’t a joke though… It’s “Kaga Renkon” (Lotus Root). It’s a Kaga vegetable. Delicious! Very voluminous. The shrimp inside is fluffy, and the batter is crispy, so it’s a crispy-fluffy texture. The matcha salt is delicious too! Delicious! It is tasty! Amazing! You said it was kelp (Konbu), right? There’s rice on the kelp and it looks like a fan. It’s delicate detail. Amazing. Really delicate. It’s super crispy!! Yeah! Delicious! The slightly thick texture of the kelp is also tasty. It’s unusual. Noto Beef Sukiyaki. It had an elegant sweetness and was delicious! 😋 We’ll have breakfast in the room too! This is “Onsen Porridge”! Porridge cooked with hot spring water! Yummy! Does it taste like hot spring? It doesn’t taste like hot spring… It tastes gentle! The hot spring was really good too, wasn’t it! It was good! There was an indoor bath and a place to go outside a bit, and there was a waterfall bath too! I also trained there! Haha. It felt good. The water felt thick and smooth, and it felt amazing on the skin. They say it’s called the “Okuzashiki” (Inner Parlor)! Kanazawa’s Inner Parlor. It’s nice because it’s close! It was paradise. Used that word after a long time. True, you’re right! It was paradise, paradise! We will explore Yuwaku Onsen♪ This Yuwaku Onsen, apparently it was the setting for an anime! They say it became the setting for the anime called “Hanasaku Iroha”. Seems like it. I haven’t seen that anime so I don’t know the details, but a girl living in Tokyo or a big city comes here, and her grandmother runs an inn, so it’s a story about helping at the inn. In that story, there was something called the Bonbori Festival. It was in the anime, but apparently they actually do it here in Yuwaku Onsen now. Looks like they hold it in October or so. They are actually doing the festival that appeared in the anime. Reverse importation. That’s rare. At this place, they decorate the stairs with Bonbori lanterns. I might have seen a photo. Apparently it’s beautiful, so I’d like to go then too. I really should have watched the anime before coming… It wasn’t on Amazon Prime or Netflix. Is that so. So I couldn’t watch it. It seems you can watch it on U-NEXT. There seems to be a lake here, so let’s go there for a bit! It’s super pretty. It’s amazingly transparent. Apparently fireflies can be seen in summer. It feels like fireflies would be here! In “Hanasaku Iroha”, when the protagonist is troubled, she definitely comes here and is lost in thought! It’s a place that makes you want to be lost in thought! That’s how good the location is! We will walk around the pond! A hut for storing ice made in winter until summer. Yuwaku Onsen → Omicho Market
Approx. 30 mins by car We’ve come to the city of Kanazawa. We have arrived! Now we will go to Omicho Market and have lunch! Omicho Market. It seems many shops are gathered there, so I’m looking forward to seeing that too. With over 300 years of history, this market is loved by citizens as “Kanazawa’s Kitchen”. About 180 stores are lined up, and you can enjoy fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan like Nodoguro and crab, as well as exquisite Kanazawa gourmet like seafood bowls and sushi! We went to “Yamasan Sushi,” a long-established sushi restaurant founded 60 years ago. The seafood bowl (Kaisendon) is here! Looks delicious. Can I eat? The seafood bowl. Looks delicious!! Yum! It really is fresh. The pieces were pretty thick too. There’s gold leaf on top, so it looks beautiful. There’s crab too. There is crab. Looks super delicious. It’s warm. Warm. It’s the reverse version of usual. True. Looks yummy. Otoro (Fatty tuna)? It’s super thick! Delicious!! It melts in the mouth. Kanazawa means gold leaf. No doubt about it!! Every topping was fresh and delicious♪ It’s overflowing from the bowl!! We pass through a Japanese garden-style green space. Isn’t that a river in front? Is it? I think it’s a river. I think it’s the Asano River. Asano River. If we come around here, the Chaya district spreads out. Is that so. Kazuemachi Chaya District. Not Higashi Chaya District. Kazuemachi Chaya District → Plan to go to Higashi Chaya District! Named after the residence of Toda Kazue, a Kaga retainer,
which was located here in the Edo period. It is one of the three Chaya districts of Kanazawa formed in the Meiji era. Teahouse architecture with fine latticework lines the Asano River, and it is selected as a national Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. It has a great atmosphere! This lattice and everything, it has such a vibe. Kind of like Higashi Chaya District. There are still Geisha here, right? Oh really. I want to see one just once. Must be expensive though. It’s nice♪ Don’t you feel it’s elegant? Kanazawa. As expected of Kaga Hyakumangoku. That’s why it’s elegant! Born as a teahouse district authorized by the Kaga Domain in 1820, it is a gorgeous entertainment district boasting the highest prestige in Kanazawa! Townhouses with Bengara (red ochre) lattices line both sides of the stone-paved street, and it is full of cafes and traditional craft shops! We’ve arrived at Higashi Chaya Street! This looks like the main street. There are so many people. But it has a lovely atmosphere♪ It feels old-fashioned! It’s different from Takayama again. How should I put it… There’s color in it. Of the wood? This gives it a nice feel! You can tell it was a tea house district. It retains the remnants. Even now though. True… Elegant! Really. You can see the outside surprisingly well from the lattice door! The fluffy dough was absolutely delicious!! Thank you for watching!

石川県へ行きましたね。石川は、どこに行っても美味しいものがあるからね。食べている顔で満足感が伝わってきました。
もう一泊した方が良かったかも？ まだ見るところがいっぱいありますよ～！
私は、妻が白山市出身なので35年間、車で妻と子供を乗せて行っていました。回転すしも美味しいですよ。
数年前、片眼が見えなくなり車を運転できなくなってからは、妻のみが年1回、帰省しています。いつもお土産は、かぶら寿しと
笹寿しです。ここ数年、行っていないので行った気になりました。ありがとうございました。
昨日、高尾山～小仏城山へ登ってきましたが、高尾山頂は凄い人達でいっぱいでした。小仏城山は、紅葉は終わり気味でしたね。
来週は、陣馬山～景信山縦走に行く予定です。

毎回なるまさトラベルを観るのが楽しみです。各地に残る歴史感漂う風情ある街並みや景勝地や歴史ある老舗旅館。冒頭の説明も、まささんとのやりとりやクイズも愉しい。なるまさ山旅では、まささんは裏方で会話は殆どありませんでしたが、なるまさトラベルでは主演なるさん、助演まささんですね😊 今回も紅葉の鶴仙渓のあやとり橋の散策、那谷寺の奇岩と色とりどりの紅葉は絶景でした。お宿やましたのお膳一杯に配膳された料理の華やかさ、我が家の夕食は・・・涙🥶 今回も紅葉や絶景の景色を愉しませて頂きました。お疲れさまでした。
金沢は何度か行ってたんですが、鶴仙系・湯涌温泉・那谷寺は知らないです😅 芭蕉さんは、どこでも歩いてるんですね😅
遊歩道から見るのも、橋の上から見るのも良いです。街が落ち着いていて静かで良いですね。騒々しい京都と違います。

金沢の街並みも風情があって良いですよね！私も近江町市場や浅野川沿いを歩いたことあるのですが、懐かしくてまた行きたくなりました〜😊👍

[私、たべていいですか？]はいつも、なるさんの食レポが終わってから、食べてるのに、積極的でした😂ね。思わず、笑ってしまいました🎉
玉泉湖で、なるさんが、アニメの主人公になって想い更けるところで、主人が、[なるさんの想い更けることは、食べ物のことだよな]っていうので、失礼な！と、メッ！しときました😂

能登は何年か前に車で一周した事が有り大好き場所ですが、あんな事が有り料理民宿も無くなってしまいました😭その時食べた岩牡蠣が人生最高の大きさと美味しさでしたよ❤その後金沢に行き近江市場、東茶屋など散策しました。
それにしてもナルちゃんはしっとり落ち着いた場所を選ぶのが最高‼️ナルちゃんの声も素敵❤ナレーターに成れるよ🤩👍
