【超コスパ】じゃらん東北No1のバイキングと鳴子最大の大浴場が美しすぎる名湯の宿【宮城県 鳴子温泉♨️鳴子ホテル】
Let’s go to Naruko Onsen! Naruko Onsen Village, Miyagi Prefecture. This time, we’ll introduce Naruko Hotel, a famous hot spring inn in Naruko Onsen, Miyagi Prefecture . Naruko Onsen Village, one of the Tohoku region’s most famous hot springs, is located in northern Miyagi Prefecture, within Kurikoma Quasi-National Park . With 370 hot springs and nine different spring qualities, it’s said that by touring the hot spring inns in Naruko Onsen Village , you can experience almost all of Japan’s hot spring qualities. This video introduces the history and overview of Naruko Hotel, which boasts over 150 years of history, including its superb baths and lavish breakfast and dinner buffets . This video is packed with highlights, so please take your time to enjoy. History and Overview: Located in the heart of Naruko Onsen, near JR Naruko Onsen Station and lined with relatively large hot spring hotels, Naruko Hotel originated as the “Takahashi Ryokan,” which was opened in 1873 by Takahashi Man’emon, the 10th generation owner. In 1917, under the leadership of the 12th head of the family, Mr. Manbei, the hotel was renamed “Naruko Hotel” with the aim of becoming a modern hot spring inn. Surprisingly, the current owner is the 15th generation. Records of the Crown Prince and Princess visiting the hotel in the 1970s remain. During the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, the hotel welcomed 170 disaster victims from Minamisanriku Town , and after four months of recuperation in the hot springs, a wheelchair user was able to walk again. The Aobakan was completed in 1970, and the Momijikan in 1989. The current Naruko Hotel has 13 floors and 115 rooms, making it one of the larger hot spring hotels in Naruko Onsen. Naruko Hotel boasts the “Michinoku Buffet,” which was ranked No. 1 in the Tohoku region in the “Dinner Category” by Jalan in 2023 , and three types of privately-sourced hot spring water that change color daily, from emerald green to milky white . We’ll be sharing more about the buffet and baths later. It’s about 35 minutes from Furukawa Interchange on the Tohoku Expressway and a 5-minute walk from JR Naruko Onsen Station, making it particularly accessible by train. Enter the hotel through the city-hotel-style entrance, featuring a large, single-piece sign . The front lobby is spacious and open. Halloween decorations were on display. The Naruko Kokeshi doll “Yuzuru” by Toyoshiro Fukuda is also featured. Barrier-free access is also in place. 👍 This five-star hotel, ranked ” Yokozuna” in the East Hot Spring Rankings , is also listed in Jalan’s Top 100 Japanese Hotels and Inns by Professionals . We’ll introduce the facilities inside the hotel. Lounge Aoba offers coffee, tea, soft drinks, and draft beer (for a fee). The souvenir shop has a wide selection. Ask for local Naruko Onsen treats or the hotel’s original chestnut dumplings, which are freshly made that morning. Recommended! Naruko Onsen original tote bags and T-shirts, Miyagi’s famous beef tongue, a sasakama boutique corner , a beauty salon, and a table tennis corner (for a fee). Table tennis is played on tatami mats! ^^ Let’s walk from Aobakan to Momijikan. The connecting corridor is about 50 meters long, and the middle of the corridor is like a gallery, where you can enjoy the decorations and historical exhibits. Restaurant “Jurakutei” is the place to eat if you’re not ordering the buffet. Momijikan buffet venue “Miyagino” has kokeshi dolls here too! ^^ Let’s take the elevator to the third floor! Momijikan 3rd floor Matsumiya Collection: 2,000 kokeshi dolls . We were given an explanation of the check-in rooms, meal times, and baths. Dinner is served in two shifts, from 5:30 and 7:00, and breakfast is served in 15-minute increments from 7:00. (Depending on the occupancy situation.) This plan is the standard buffet plan. Prices will be explained in the room description. After checking in, I received amenities and a haori coat at the front desk… About the guest rooms: There are a total of 115 guest rooms in the Aobakan and Momijikan. Momijikan rooms are primarily rooms with great views and convenient access to the large public bath and dining area. The Aobakan has good access to the front desk and shop. Renovated in 2016, the Aobakan Japanese-Western Room features a Simmons bed. The 1-night, 2-meal buffet plan starts at just 12,000 yen! Our room, Room 1110, is a standard Japanese-style room, one of the most affordable rooms at Naruko Hotel. The toilet is a unit bath with a washlet (not a hot spring), shampoos are Predia, and there’s a Panasonic hair dryer and hot clothes hangers. This is especially great during the cold season. 👍 Standard Japanese-style room (10 tatami mats). There’s a school (?) in front, but the view is deep and beautiful. The yukata in the closet features a kokeshi doll design and a personalized name. ^^ The bath basket is a nice touch. 👍 The bath basket contains face towels, bath towels, and tea snacks like peanuts . There are also chilled glasses in the refrigerator . ^^ Mineral water is free. WiFi is available in the rooms. Mobile phone reception is also available. Bath Information: The large baths, “Tama-no-yu” and “Basho-no-yu,” alternate between men’s and women’s baths at certain times. First, let’s look at Tama-no-yu (the men’s bath at the time of this photo). Today’s water is milky white. ♪ It’s usually emerald green on sunny days, and milky white on rainy days. ^^ Large Bath: Tama-no-yu. The changing area. With over 100 rooms, the baths are quite spacious . The washrooms are partially partitioned for privacy. 👍 You can try out cosmetics from the gift shop. 😊 Naruko Hotel’s hot spring source is a blend of three privately-sourced springs, pH 8.7, containing sulfur, sodium, sulfate, chloride, and bicarbonate . The spring temperature is 68°C. Hygiene is maintained through circulating filtration and disinfection. Tama no Yu Large Public Bath (Indoor Bath) At first glance, the spaciousness and openness of the entire bath are impressive. 👍 This is the largest public bath in Naruko. Its beautiful milky white color and pleasant, not-too-strong sulfur scent give it a luxurious feel. 👍 You can’t see below, so hold on to the handrails while you bathe. ^^ Some areas are shallow, allowing you to enjoy the waterfall. There are also plenty of washing areas, some with partitions for privacy. 👍 Horse oil shampoo, honeybee honey, Predia horse oil shampoo, honeybee honey, Predia horse oil shampoo, honeybee honey, Predia baby products. Let’s head to the open-air bath from here! ♪ Blue Tatami Stone Open-Air Bath The bath has an atmospheric feel, surrounded by brick-like stones. There’s a roof and privacy screen around the perimeter, slightly reducing the sense of openness. Koya- maki Bucket Open-Air Bath The hot water has decreased considerably due to cleaning, but it’s usually almost full. It’s quite large for a tub bath ^^ There is a roof, so it doesn’t feel very open. Next is Basho- no-Yu . Today’s water color is white-green. It’s a color unique to Naruko Onsen. Basho-no-Yu The changing area has tatami mats underneath, which is gentle on the feet 👍 There are also lockers with locks. Basho-no-Yu Indoor Bath Basho no Yu looks even larger, and the shower itself is cloudy white. ^^ It’s the largest bath in Naruko Onsen. It’s impressive when you see it for the first time. ^^ It’s a luxurious stone bath. The overall color changes depending on the color of the three hot springs. The greenish cloudy water is unique to Naruko Onsen, and when you look at it up close, it looks emerald green. ^^ There are two sturdy handrails. There’s a “sitting bath” where you can soak, and a row of washing areas! There’s also a bench for resting in front . The Basho no Yu open-air bath has a similar feel to the indoor bath, but it’s surrounded by a wooden border. The hot spring water gushes out of the spout. 😳 Because of the roof and privacy screen, it doesn’t feel as open. You can relax in a chair in the front and enjoy the garden-like view of a bamboo forest. ♪ It’s a wonderful bath that everyone should try. The availability of the private bath, Kokeshi no Yu, is posted at the front desk (2-4 people, 3,300 yen/50 minutes). Introducing the private bath, Kokeshi no Yu. The sign reads “In Use.” The private bath, Kokeshi no Yu, has a large, spacious changing area, and there are plenty of them. It’s possible that this was once a large public bath . There are plenty of washbasins . There are also trial cosmetics , cold water, a baby bed, and amenities at the entrance to the toilet. Towels are provided. The private bath, Kokeshi no Yu, is so spacious! It wouldn’t be out of place to call it a public bath . It’s amazing that this spacious, beautifully colored bath can be used exclusively. There’s a large “hot bath” and a smaller “lukewarm bath.” The stone construction gives it a luxurious feel. 👍 There are also plenty of handrails. 👍 The lukewarm bath is quite warm, so you can relax in it. ♪ The bubbles make it feel like a jacuzzi. The hot spring water flows directly from the spout, and there are plenty of washing areas! Shampoos are also available . It’s time for the fun dinner buffet! 😋 The dining venue is the Miyagino Michinoku Buffet at Momijikan ! The venue is very spacious, with seats spaced far apart. The view outside is also quite impressive, and at night you can see the night view. ♪ The staff are preparing to welcome guests. Let’s take a look at the Michinoku Buffet, which is also beautifully presented. ♪ Poke, grilled shrimp , salted sweetfish, scallop cream stew, pie-wrapped fried chicken, and three types of freshly baked pizza! Broad beans and chorizo, tomato mix, mushroom mix, mushroom pasta, braised pork, miso-based Sendai taro stew, and the hearty taro stew served by the staff.👍 Matsutake mushroom chawanmushi, a side dish featuring salads, herb-marinated salmon , steamed mountain jellyfish and chicken with sesame dressing , mushrooms with ponzu sauce , mozuku seaweed vinegar , broccoli and potato salad, tomato salad , komatsuna and chicken salad, bean salad, and eight luxurious types of sashimi! It’s kept chilled in the refrigerator, so you can enjoy it while it’s still fresh 😋 One of the highlights is the seafood rice bowl corner, which features salmon, seared bonito, bigeye tuna , albacore tuna, nori seaweed, egg, ark shell, sweet shrimp, squid, and saury . The curry is packed with ingredients ♪ The rice comes with Hitomebore pickles (Chinese cabbage, eggplant, kimchi), and miso soup (fried tofu). The cold soba corner has noodles chilled on ice and looks delicious 👍 Toppings include grated yam, grated nameko mushrooms, and pork . The live kitchen corner ♪ First up is steak! The steak is piping hot with a fun flame effect 😋 Steak sauce (garlic, Japanese-style grated daikon radish) and tempura is also live! Shrimp, shimeji mushrooms, sweet potatoes, bell peppers, maitake mushrooms, pumpkin, and other tempura are all loved with grated daikon radish, matcha salt, and salt. ♪ The dessert section features pumpkin tart, chocolate cake, zunda cake, mille crepes, and colorful macarons. ♪ There are two types of cream puffs, four types of donuts , and three types of muffins . Also available in the fruit section are sweet potato lollipops ( mango , pineapple, apple juice, vegetable juice, oolong tea, coffee, black tea, and roasted green tea ice cream). ♪ They have a full range of drinks, including chuhai and fruit sake . I had a draft beer ^^ First , I toasted with a beer ♪ The seafood bowl was gorgeous 😋 I tried putting all the seafood on it ^^ It was vinegared rice, so it felt like I was eating sushi ♪ The steak was freshly grilled live 👍 It was soft and delicious 😋 The tempura was also freshly fried, which was great 👍 Since it was freshly fried, the batter was crispy and the meat was plump ^^ A rare traditional Hawaiian dish, grilled salted poke sweetfish, was crispy on the outside and fluffy inside 😍 The chawanmushi had lots of matsutake mushrooms and a wonderful aroma 💖 It felt luxurious! The Sendai-style potato stew was packed with lots of vegetables , making it a luxurious dish👍 The pie crust was so much fun to open♪ The cream stew had a large scallop inside😳 The creme brulee was prepared right in front of us, and underneath the crispy caramel was a delicious, creamy pudding😋 There were a variety of cakes, which delighted the sweets guy (^^/ The Michinoku buffet was fantastic, with a wide variety to choose from and a visually appealing experience~ (^^/ We laid out our futons during dinner, which were thick and soft^^ A time-lapse video of the night view from our room Good night~Zzz Breakfast buffet The breakfast buffet was held in the same venue. It was foggy, but the view outside was clearly visible♪ The staff had been preparing since early in the morning. There was a wide variety of breakfast ingredients♪ A fantastic buffet in the morning We will introduce them all! Grilled salmon, grilled mackerel , Chikuzen-ni (simmered in soy sauce ) , scrambled eggs, bacon , sausages, crab cream croquettes , Chinese rice dumplings, meat shumai, pickled cucumbers, pickled Sendai eggplant, seasoned seaweed, mekabu (wheat leek), simmered pumpkin, pickled plums, perilla seeds, wood ear mushrooms , natto, pork ginger stir-fry, and “Ka Po” (Chinese-style hamburger) with braised pork cubes. ♪ Breakfast curry is also packed with ingredients. 👍 For breakfast, we also had Hitomebore rice porridge. Oinari sushi , half-boiled (flavored), egg ramen with sea bream, tai-shio ramen, toppings of green onions, menma (Japanese menma), roasted pork, corn soup , and even ozoni (rice cake soup with red bean paste) are all carefully arranged♪ Miso soup is piping hot clam soup, salad bar includes coleslaw, cherry tomatoes, peppers and onions, macaroni salad , carrots and cucumbers, lettuce , three types of dressing (Japanese fragrant, sesame, Italian) , Iwaizumi yogurt sauce, blueberry , three types of bread , butter rolls , croissants , mini toast , and a toaster. Morning sweets include homemade pudding and… fruit, mango , grapefruit , pineapple, orange, drink corner (apple, vegetable, milk, oolong tea) , coffee, black tea, and roasted green tea . This is how the breakfast was arranged~ It’s a very luxurious morning (^^/ First of all, apple juice♪ The grilled fish has just the right amount of salt and goes well with rice♪ The crab cream croquette has fluffy and rich cream😋 The Chinese rice dumplings have chicken inside and are served on sticky rice leaves, making them look fun^^ The ozōni is filled with soft and fluffy rice cakes , and when you eat it with sweet bean paste rice cakes, it feels just like New Year’s🇯🇵 Make sure to get the ramen just before you eat. It has a light soy sauce flavor with a strong chicken broth, and is a nostalgic ramen👍 Morning ramen is recommended^^ It has a good amount of clams. The croissant is a delight for bread lovers♪ It was moist bread. The homemade pudding was soft and fluffy😋 We were able to enjoy breakfast dishes as well as dishes that we don’t usually get to eat, so it was a very satisfying breakfast! The fact that you can get takeaway coffee is also a big plus👍 Check-out Naruko Onsen Meitou no Yado Naruko Hotel What did you think? I received the chestnut dumplings I ordered ^^ Finally, I got my stamp ^^ I was very satisfied with the luxurious buffet, which also had the largest public bath in Naruko, changing colors every day . We will continue to introduce various accommodations, so please continue to check.
Thank you again! You really are tohoku's onsen and Ryokan best promoter!! This one is really good, different onsen colours! The buffets look very tasty too and with just a price of 12000 yen!!! That's cheaper than a night of business hotel in Osaka or Tokyo! The only weakness is really the slightly compromised view of the open onsen, otherwise it is close to perfect.
