【鳥取 三朝温泉】コスパ最高!広すぎる客室露天風呂がある旅館に宿泊 & 温泉街で夜遊びも満喫♪『旬彩の宿いわゆ』

Hello, this is Bubu Travel! Today, we rented a car and came to Misasa Onsen in Tottori Prefecture. It’s a three-hour drive from Osaka to Misasa Onsen. Since Tottori Prefecture’s highways are mostly free, the one-way fare is about 1,000 yen. So, we’re heading to our lodging for the night. We’re driving down the main street of the hot spring town. Our lodging is right in the middle of the hot spring town! Following the navigation system, we arrived at our lodging. I ‘ve always wanted to visit Iwayu! The parking lot is just beyond the arrow. While my husband parked the car, I headed inside the inn. Wow! It’s a tatami-floored inn! The tatami mats are great because you can relax without slippers. Japanese hot spring mascots also greeted us. My husband returned, so we checked in. Women could choose a colored yukata , but I’m embarrassed about this sort of thing, so I chose a more subdued color. They also had advance tickets for the entertainment center! I’d like to go there later. They held my chosen yukata and guided me to my room. Tonight’s accommodation is limited to one group, a villa! I’ll announce the price at the end. From here, it’s triple speed. This alley was quaint and lovely. And so, we arrived! The house is built like an old-fashioned Japanese house. These old-fashioned sliding doors remind me of grandma’s house, and they’re nostalgic. The entrance also has a nostalgic feel. It’s wide and has many corridors, so I’m not sure which way to go. The door at the back leads to a toilet with a washlet. The room at the front is a small guest room. This villa has a main room and two other guest rooms, making it suitable for large families. Since there’s only two of us, we didn’t use it. Going this way, there’s the changing room for the open-air bath. There’s also a refrigerator. And here is the main room. I’m perfectly happy with a small room, but this one is more spacious than I could ever use, at 14 tatami mats. It’s a shame we arrived late and it was dark outside. The massage machine is also great. And the main reason I chose this inn! It has a massive open-air bath!! It seems you can’t access it from the veranda window, so we head to the changing room. By the way, this is what the changing room looks like. There’s also a hair dryer, mosquito coils, and a shampoo bar. Air conditioning is also provided. And here’s the open-air bath . It wasn’t mentioned on the website, but when I asked the waitress, she told me the water is directly from the hot spring. The lighting is nice, and the bathtub is large enough to fit about 10 people. The washing area is made of slats. There’s a washing area in the main building, so it’s fine, but it seems cold to wash here in winter. Still, the fact that the water is directly from the hot spring in a space this large is just amazing. I’d like to relax and enjoy Misasa’s radium hot springs in private. But before that, there are a lot of mosquitoes, so I ‘ll have to perform the ritual to get rid of them. I just tried to take a photo from the garden in the back, and I was bitten about 10 times within a few seconds. But after the mosquitoes had left, the open-air bath was heavenly. The water was a little hot, and it was a wonderful soak. By the way, drinks in the refrigerator are free. The small size is perfect, isn’t it? There was also a tea set and snacks. Personally, I was happy that the floors in the annex were all tatami. My feet didn’t get cold, so I enjoyed a nice bath afterward. I rested for a while on the massage machine. It was evening. I stopped by the main building and bought advance tickets to the entertainment center I’d been interested in! I decided to pop in for a bit before dinner. The road I took on the way there had a Showa-era atmosphere, like something straight out of a movie. This is the entertainment center. It’s about three minutes from the inn, perfect for a night out. The interior is nostalgic. The old man tried his first target practice! He hit the target right away! And two of them fell?! Watching it in slow motion, I saw that the bullets ricochet and knocked two of them down! The old man must have a talent for target practice, as he continued to hit the target in succession. I wanted to try it too, so I aimed for Ultraman, but didn’t even miss a single shot. Thanks to the old man’s efforts, I won a luxurious prize. I actually enjoyed the Smart Ball game more! You don’t have to concentrate, you can play it with your mind completely empty. They also have old-fashioned pachinko machines, all 500 yen per play (400 yen with advance tickets). It’s a lot of fun, so I recommend it for a night out. There’s also a game center. The lighting on the main street was beautiful. We also took a dip in the footbath right in front of the inn. There were people there all day and in the evening, but at night, there were no people there at all. The water was quite hot (lol) and we could drink the spring water. It was tasteless and odorless. But it seemed good for the body. End of nightlife! Thankfully, the footbath and entertainment area are right next to the inn. It was getting late, so we went back for dinner. Dinner. After soaking our feet in the footbath, we went straight to dinner. We had dinner in a private room in the main building. The standard seasonal kaiseki plan. This is hassun (seaweed and cod roe) in a ceramic dish. Sesame tofu. Vinegared mozuku seaweed and octopus. Tottori wagyu beef, Daisen chicken, pork, grilled vegetables. A hot plate for grilling meat. Drinks are on a separate menu. Local sake is also available. My husband ordered the local sake “Takayui.” I toasted with an aperitif (mandarin wine). This hassun has a creative feel, almost like Japanese sweets! Each dish is bite-sized, like a maiko’s , but each one has a completely different flavor, making it fun. The flavors are robust and seem like they’d go well with sake. The cucumber was super thinly sliced. The octopus was also fresh. By the way, there was no menu, so I’m writing this based on the information I received from the waitress and my own impressions of the food. I apologize if I’m wrong. Next, the bowls were brought out. Inside the bowls was a rabbit holding a pestle! What a stylish presentation. Inside were taro buns with a yuzu flavor. The food was imaginative and delicious. As I was munching away, the room suddenly went dark!! Something amazing appeared! A parfait?! It was sashimi!! The lights came back on. It was a surprise. The presentation was beautiful, and I appreciated the hospitality. This was my first time trying foam soy sauce. As the name suggests, it’s whipped soy sauce, but it’s easier to eat than liquid soy sauce and has a richer, more delicious flavor. I’m not sure if it’s from Tottori Prefecture, but everything tasted fresh and odorless. Next came grilled sweetfish! Sweetfish is rare in Tottori. I bit into it head first. What an unexpected flavor! It had a slight smoked flavor. Every dish was delicious, with a touch of ingenuity. The vinegar was refreshing and refreshing . The steamed dish was eel, tofu, and yam with a thick, starchy sauce. Finally, we had hot white rice with red miso soup, a rare treat at a ryokan, and pickles! We saved the meat to eat with the rice. This beef was absolutely delicious! I want more! And finally, dessert. We usually eat food at ryokans until we feel like we’re about to burst, but today, unusually, we were only 80% full! The portions were just right. Very satisfied! Thank you for the meal. Natural Ondol RoomAfter dinner, we stopped by the ondol room in the main building. You can use it for free by asking the staff. The ondol room is a room where you can experience the same effects as a hot spring just by stepping inside. A natural hot spring flows underneath the room, and the warm water heat allows you to enjoy a radon bath. !!! Just stepping inside is already warm! It’s as warm as sunbathing in early spring! There’s no humidity, and it’s nice and cozy. The room is about 6 tatami mats in size, and it feels a bit like a dungeon, but it’s precisely because it’s underground, that it’s so effective. It was nice and cozy. Because it’s natural heat, the indoor temperature seems to change depending on the season. It’s said to be 50°C in summer and 20°C in winter. October, when it gets a little chilly, was the best time. On the way back to the villa, I found a wooden electric pole. I wonder how many years it’s been there? It’s a rare find. When I returned, the futon was laid out for me. But it’s still too early for bed! I’ll continue enjoying the hot spring to the fullest in the evening. By the way, I didn’t need any mosquito coils at night, so it was perfectly fine. It’s chilly at night, so a piping hot spring bath feels even more comfortable. The lighting is also elegant and lovely. Absolute bliss. After the bath, we toasted with a free drink! And then, we opened the prizes we won at the shooting gallery! This is the Showa-era way of having fun. Doesn’t this game bring back so many memories?! But it looks like it’s about to fall, but it never does. Even when the dolls run out, the game isn’t over! It ends! That’s all I wanted to see. But it was so nostalgic and fun! I enjoyed it so much I think I’ll sleep soundly. Good night. Good morning. This morning, I’ll go to the indoor bath in the main building . I ended up spending all my time in the open-air bath, so I ended up going in the morning. Misasa Onsen is a rare radioactive hot spring in Japan. The trace amounts of radiation contained in the hot spring are known to boost metabolism and immunity, and it’s also known as “therapeutic hot springs.” The indoor bath is also a natural hot spring . It’s amazing that Misasa Town has a cancer incidence rate half the national average. The spring temperature is 65 degrees! It’s quite hot. The fact that the bathtub is underground is proof that the water is good! Hot spring lovers will be delighted. This is what the women’s indoor bath looks like. The bath is small and unspectacular, but the scalding hot water radiated with a magmatic power, making its name “hot spring for healing” perfectly justify its name. It was so hot that I only stayed in it for about 10 minutes, but my whole body felt warm and I was wandering around, craving water. I refilled my ice water at the water station! I feel like I could jump into the cold bath now. The radium water is amazing. Breakfast. After my morning bath, I had breakfast in the same private room as dinner. The portions weren’t too large, just right. I’ve been staying on the Sea of Japan side a lot lately, and my breakfast is always flatfish. Is it a standard fish in Tottori? And, just like yesterday, red miso soup. I wonder why red miso soup is so common at inns in Misasa Onsen? The porridge cooked in this hot spring was absolutely delicious. Thank you for the meal. After breakfast, I strolled around town to cool down. Then, I visited the famous mixed-gender riverside bath. The cool morning air makes for a pleasant stroll. While the hot spring town where we’re staying is filled with small inns, the riverside across the bridge is home to a large, impressive inn. This inn is also quite large. Since it’s along the river, the view looks great. While strolling, we arrived at Misasa Shrine, said to be the guardian deity of Misasa Onsen. The water at the chozuya (purification fountain) is drinkable radium hot spring water. As expected, the Misasa springs are quite hot. I tried my luck with the fortune slip I bought at the tourist information center yesterday. When you’re in a tourist spot, you can’t help but buy one, right? So, here we go! ??? ??? It looked like a caterpillar. Even after a while, I couldn’t see the letters… maybe because I floated it in a place with strong water? But it was funny, so it was all good! It started the morning with a laugh. By the way, when I checked with the tourist information center later, they said I only needed to dip it in the water for a moment. They offered me another one, but I’d had enough fun, so I left without. Checked out. After checking out, I went to this shop in the hot spring town. This shop specializes in yogurt made with Tottori Prefecture’s famous Shirabara milk. The prices are reasonable, the interior is stylish , and the view is amazing. You can see the huge inn I saw on my morning walk. Since it was after breakfast, I wanted something light, so I ordered a yogurt shake (500 yen). My husband ordered the most popular yogurt butter sandwich cookie (340 yen). Wow! It’s delicious!!! It’s a bit firm, so you have to suck hard to get it out, but it’s refreshing and super tasty!! It ‘s the perfect treat after a bath! I highly recommend it. This one also looks heavy, but it was so light and refreshing that I finished the whole thing in an instant. It seems low in calories. I think I could eat it even when I’m full. I’d like to try the yogurt next time I come. Thank you for the meal! And that’s all for this video on Misasa Onsen. The accommodation fee was 26,400 yen per person for a weekday stay, using the official website’s early bird discount. The open-air bath was amazing, and the quality of the hot spring water in the indoor bath was also excellent, so I was very satisfied. I will also make a video of my two-day, one-night trip around Misasa Onsen, so please take a look if you’re interested. By the way, parking is free for guests staying at the hotel. Thank you for watching until the end.
