「石の寺」の異名を持つ教林坊庭園は苔（こけ）むした巨石の石組みが見どころ。
仏教の世界観を豪快に表現した桃山様式の庭園で、不老不死を願って鶴や亀に見立てた巨石がある。
茅葺（かやぶ）きの書院は苔で覆われた石庭と調和しており、「庭屋一如（ていおくいちにょ）」の趣をなす。
紅葉の名所で知られ、毎年11月15日から12月初旬にかけてライトアップが行われる。
Also known as the “Stone Temple,” Kyorinbo Garden is a must-see for its moss-covered megaliths.
The Momoyama-style garden is a bold expression of the Buddhist worldview, and includes megaliths representing cranes and turtles, symbolizing the desire for immortality.
The thatched-roof Shoin study harmonizes with the moss-covered rock garden, creating an atmosphere of “the unity of garden and house.”
Known as a prime spot for viewing autumn leaves, the garden is illuminated at night from November 15th to early December every year.
