many people would come here Because it’s not a major attraction But you need to drive here Don’t imagine it’s actually like a theme park It’s not It’s actually a mentaiko factory Usually there should be some mentaiko production processes That you can visit Outside there are some shops selling mentaiko products Some places selling souvenirs And a small cafeteria Which is where I’m sitting now It offers all mentaiko foods You can see their menu All the mentaiko foods you can think of are available For example, rice balls Or what everyone definitely eats in Fukuoka Mentaiko French bread Mentaiko rice bowls Or mentaiko Chinese buns They have everything You can eat some mentaiko food here If you want to buy mentaiko products There are many choices in the back I have someone next to me who loves eating mentaiko When we were in Fukuoka, for some reason We didn’t manage to buy mentaiko This time coming to Nagoya We specifically came to this Mentaiko Park Planning to buy some mentaiko And try the special mentaiko ice cream Don’t be fooled by its appearance Looking like ordinary vanilla ice cream If you look closer It has some mentaiko pieces mixed in It’s not milk flavored Or vanilla flavored ice cream It also has a senbei cracker Which should also be mentaiko flavored This is 360 yen Let me try the mentaiko ice cream first This is really good I’m not talking while eating because I’m afraid the ice cream will melt So I need to keep eating the melting parts I might need to finish eating before talking Because I’m the type who can’t accept Even a drop of ice cream buy them by the box to take home Besides this type of mentaiko There are also mentaiko products It’s not just strips of mentaiko Some are processed And they tell you They can be prepared in many different ways For example, you can use them to make rice balls You can use them to make mentaiko hot pot There are many different ways to eat them This one is already processed It’s mentaiko shumai Mentaiko shumai that can be steamed or fried But because it’s refrigerated I can’t take it back Today is the first day of my trip There’s also mentaiko sauce Can be used as salad dressing Or the clearing the food stalls Now it’s around 5:50 All food stalls have already closed I don’t recommend coming close to closing time You can come earlier It will be more comfortable Today our timing wasn’t good Just as I was leaving I saw a sign at the entrance Apparently it’s under renovation I was wondering The areas inside are quite small Turns out it’s under renovation until November 2025 Originally there were many factory tours Some factory sections open to the public Many areas are under renovation So they’ve closed many sections I was wondering today They said there were factory tours But I couldn’t see them If you come after November This place should be much bigger You’ll be able to see more things Just now I was looking from the car I thought this mentaiko was a bowling pin Turns out it’s a mentaiko This time I came to Nagoya I’ll be self-driving As usual I rented a car through Klook But as for which car rental company I won’t specifically introduce it to you Because another big one behind I originally thought the lanterns outside were big Seeing many small lucky cats along the way Coming in here there’s an extra large lucky cat It’s as tall as two floors Tokoname is famous for making lucky cats But actually in other parts of Japan Such as the Seto region They have their own lucky cats too So how do you identify a Tokoname-style lucky cat? Here’s how to tell Especially large ears Especially large eyes And the white part of the eyes is yellow Another feature is that the paws are golden And it’s always a calico cat Plus the overall proportion needs to be two-headed You can look for these features That’s a Tokoname-style lucky cat There are many lucky cats for sale here These solid-colored ones are very beautiful I really want the green one Coming to Tokoname Maybe buying this head is the most distinctive But this costs 7300 yen Not cheap at all Besides many Tokoname-made lucky cats You can also paint your own lucky cat here Like these pure white lucky cats After purchasing according to the price You can sit in this area They provide some colored pens You can paint your own lucky cat here They’ve made so many cat breeds All in the style of Tokoname big-headed lucky cats I need to find if there’s a Scottish Fold Is this a Scottish Fold? Plus the track isn’t very large So it has many turns Basically every one is a sharp turn It’s quite exciting Women pay 1800 yen Adult men pay 2500 yen For one session A session lasts about six minutes many stores here With lots of things to shop for I’m now going on a shopping spree I’ll spend the evening Shopping at Aeon Tokoname Aeon is just three minutes by car From Nagoya’s Chubu International Airport It’s a very large shopping center Besides restaurants and supermarkets There are many retail stores to browse Each one has a large area There’s a large Standard Products store here I originally wanted to buy a pair of slippers so I came in to browse But once I came in I couldn’t leave Because there were too many things to see Japan is super hot now These cooling neck rings are time I bought two new colored towels to take home They also have many newly launched fragrances The prices are super affordable You can buy them for a few hundred yen And the scents are quite nice After shopping, it’s time to eat Aeon has quite a large food court With many restaurant choices Tonight I’ll eat at a restaurant specializing in Chita beef After a very chaotic grilled steak process I can finally pause to tell you What I’m actually doing now I’m now eating at a place called Taichi Shokudo It’s inside Aeon Simply put, they only have three set meals A hamburger steak meal A steak meal, and a hamburger steak plus steak combo Actually, to sum it up This restaurant only serves Chita beef No other food choices I ordered the steak plus hamburger steak combo Because I was being greedy But I didn’t expect That when served, the hot plate was already cooking the hamburger steak I had to use the same hot plate To grill the Chita beef steak It was very chaotic Because I was afraid the hamburger would overcook With no way to save it What I could do was cook all the steak Then pick up all the steak off the hot plate So it wouldn’t overcook Now I’ve finally rescued my steak I can slowly introduce to you What exactly is Chita beef Besides the special beef here They also have a kamameshi rice You can see the rice is served in a pot You need to mix it yourself They actually have rice bowls for me to serve the rice But I used them to hold the steak I need to clear them And serve a bowl of rice first This meal comes with an egg The egg is in the self-service area If you
