Hello, this is Ichiro! 😊 Today, after seeing the kochia at Hitachi Seaside Park in Ibaraki Prefecture, I came to Ashikaga Flower Park in Tochigi Prefecture. The “Garden of Light Flowers” is one of Japan’s three major illumination displays. October 23, 2025. Last year, I came around Christmas time, but this year, I came almost two months early. Right now, the autumn roses, amethyst sage, and water lilies are in full bloom in the garden. Evening admission begins at 3:30 PM. If you arrive before dark, you can enjoy both the flowers and the illuminations. ✌️ After enjoying the flowers, let’s take a stroll through the illuminated garden during the “Blue Moment,” when the sky turns a deep blue for a brief moment after sunset! Admission is 1,400 yen. It sparkles like illuminations! 😊 There will be a Halloween display from October 18th to October 31st. Enjoy the autumn roses illuminated by the setting sun until sunset! The illuminations, known as the “Garden of Light Flowers,” are currently themed around the fusion of light and amethyst sage. It’s almost sunset. The illuminations have been lit. Music also begins playing as the illuminations are lit. I don’t like the loud music playing in each area and the overlapping sounds. 😅 Enjoy the nursery rhymes played on the music box. 🙏 About 30 minutes after sunset, the blue moment begins. Start your walk from the “Flower Stage of Light” and continue nonstop through all the areas. “Floating Flower Water of Light” “Light-Red Wisteria Trellis” The purple of the amethyst sage is beautiful 😊 “Rose Garden of Light” “White Wisteria Tunnel” In April, various types of wisteria bloom throughout the garden, and illuminations are used to recreate the scenery of each wisteria species. “Miraculous Wisteria” These two large wisteria trellises, spanning 1,000 square meters, are the pride of the world. The theme is “The Fusion of Light and Amethyst Sage.” I’m so touched! 😃 “Double Wisteria” “Tree of Life” “Everyone’s Earth” Flowers, animals, and people are all part of the same Earth. It expresses the importance of nature and compassion between people. “Flying Seagulls” “Starlight Magic” “Kibana Wisteria Tunnel” “Usubeni Bridge and Illumination Tower” “Pyramid of Light” “Long Wisteria” “Home of the Heart” – Japan’s Four Seasons “Flower Castle” We’ve now toured all the areas. This concludes this video. The “Garden of Light Flowers” will continue with different themes for Christmas and New Year. Last year, I saw the illuminations at Ashikaga Flower Park around Christmas time, but this year I came when the autumn roses, amethyst sage, and water lilies were in full bloom.
They also had Halloween decorations up.

Entry for the evening session starts at 3:30pm.
If you come at that time, you can enjoy the autumn roses illuminated by the setting sun, so it feels like twice the bargain.
