Mt. Shinnyu is a gently sloping mountain with an elevation of 1,153m located in Akiota Town, Hiroshima Prefecture. Known as the “Western Grassland,” it offers beautiful grassland scenery throughout the seasons and is popular with beginner hikers. From the summit, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the magnificent Chugoku Mountains, and the mountain is also known as a famous spot for viewing sunrises and seas of clouds.
