This course crosses the Fumo Pass, the city boundary between Owase and Kumano.
In addition to visiting valuable historical sites in Sone, you will encounter beautiful stone pavements and boar fences on the old road. Perhaps it was difficult to cross the pass after crossing Mount Hakki, or perhaps there are memorials to pilgrims who have gone astray standing along the road.

尾鷲市と熊野市の市境である甫母峠を越えるコース
曽根の貴重な史跡を巡るほか、古道では美しい石畳や猪垣などに出会えます。八鬼山を越えた後の峠越えは困難だったのか、道沿いには行き倒れの巡礼供養碑が佇んでいます。
