Vol.169[SUB/4K]

Good morning! This is E-Ma. It started raining last night (._.). I posted about breakfast at the hotel and the accommodation fee in my previous video, so please take a look (´ー`). We’re checking out and heading out. This is the second day of our two-day, one-night trip to Nasu. Yesterday was beautiful, but it looks like it’s going to rain all day today. Given the weather, I’m planning on spending the day shopping (´ー`). We’ll also be visiting some popular shops, so please stay tuned (´ー`). We’re almost at our first stop. The popular bakery “Penny Lane.” The aroma of freshly baked bread hits you as you enter the store (*’▽’). They have a wide variety of breads lined up. Everyone was loading their trays one after the other ( ゚Д゚). Perhaps they’ll buy a lot and freeze them? We bought Penny Lane’s signature blueberry bread (´ー`). Apparently the owner is a big Beatles fan. Apparently, the name “Penny Lane” was taken from the title of a Beatles song. I had their bread for breakfast the next day. The bread was moist and soft, with a generous amount of blueberry jam. It was so delicious, I could see why it was so popular (´ー`). We arrived at our next destination, the parking lot. This is a facility with many food-focused shops. We were in the “GOOD NEWS NEIGHBORS” area. Many of the shops were still open before closing. We moved to the “GOOD NEWS DAIRY” area, a few minutes’ walk away. There was a line (;・∀・). This area is home to the tart shop “Satoyama Waltz” and the handmade cheese shop “Nasu no Mori Mozzarella Cheese Factory. ” This is “SOFTCREAM STAND.” They sell “Nasu Pudding,” produced by the long-established inn “Sansui-kaku.” And here’s the real reason for the line. “Butter’s Cousin.” It was super popular! We got in after about 15 minutes. It was the banana flavor, exclusive to Nasu. The milk flavor is the most popular. The salted caramel looks delicious, too (´ー`). The bean paste butter is good too, too (*’▽’). I guess the chocolate and Uji Kintoki aren’t very popular? They were low in stock. Chestnut, a fall-only treat. They also had assortments of 18 and 12 pieces. I didn’t know they had rusks (゚Д゚). With such popularity, some flavors sell out by the afternoon, so I recommend going in the morning. I returned to “GOOD NEWS NEIGHBORS. ” Butter’s Cousin’s new brand, “Butter Sandwich.” This one has a cookie-like crust. Cousin Donuts, a donut specialty store sold at the Butter’s Cousin cafe. Kona and Spice, a shop that offers a new type of curry bread baked without frying. Brown Cheese Brother, a brown cheese snack made from whey produced during the process of making cheese from milk. After finishing my shopping and heading out, I passed Butter’s Cousin… The line was even longer than before (;・∀・). They have stores in Tokyo and other places, but they’re always sold out. Everyone who comes to Nasu stops by to buy some, right? (´ー`) By the way, parking is 500 yen, but it’s free if you download the “GOOD NEWS” app. Next, we headed to the souvenir shop. (´ー`) There’s a viewing area for baked goods on the second floor, so we decided to take a look. It’s a restaurant that seems to cater to groups. We could see the baked goods production line through the glass in the hallway. On the first floor, their most popular treat, “Goyotei no Tsuki,” is made. It’s a fluffy castella cake filled with cream, a “common” souvenir found in many tourist destinations, but it’s delicious. (´ー`) Most of the products here are sold individually. It’s nice to be able to buy just the amount you want. (*’▽’) I bought a small amount here. (´ー`) Next, we visited the third roadside station in Nasu. It’s located at the gateway to Shiobara Onsen and the Nasu Highlands. I was planning to buy some vegetables, but… They must have sold out, as many shelves were empty. Let’s buy some nice daikon radishes (´ー`). The popular kiriboshi daikon buns were sold out (>_<). You have to come early in the morning to get to the farm stand (^_^;). I went to see the "rice field art" next to the roadside station. It's made using nine varieties of rice. A 100 yen donation is required to view . Apparently, it's open from July to October each year. This year's display features the "Light Line" tram, which runs from Haga Town in Tochigi Prefecture to Utsunomiya, and its mascot character. Amazing! (*'▽'). This marks the 15th year. I wonder how they make them? Past works are on display, and they're all amazing (´ー`). I imagine they'd look even more beautiful and clear in the summer when the rice is lush and green. I also saw another rice field art nearby, so I decided to check it out. This one was Mount Fuji. The rain started to get heavier, but I drove to Nasushiobara. This area is a hot spring town along the Hoki River. I came here to try Nasu-Shiobara's specialty dish (´ー`). This is the original soup-fried noodles restaurant. The interior is decorated with many signs. Soup-fried noodles are 800 yen. At first glance, they look like regular ramen, but... they smell like sauce-fried noodles (゚Д゚). This is Nasu-Shiobara's specialty dish, stir-fried sauce-fried noodles topped with piping hot soy sauce soup. My brain can't keep up with the contrast between the appearance and the taste (^_^;). It was packed with ingredients and was so delicious, I want to eat it again (*'▽'). It was raining and chilly, so I warmed up (´ー`). Next, I'll warm up in the hot springs (´ー`). This is one of Japan's largest footbath facilities, measuring 60 meters in length. After putting your shoes in the locker at the entrance, go down the stairs to the reception desk. Behind the reception desk are separate locker rooms for men and women. Bring only a towel and a drink before entering. The natural hot spring water, approximately 60 degrees, flows directly from the source and gushes out from the premises at 90 liters per minute. There are footbaths on either side of the entrance, but they are dead ends, so you can't walk around the entire area. Stones of varying sizes are arranged at the bottom of the footbath. The water is lukewarm, so you can soak in it for a long time. (´ー`) It's indoors, so it's fine even in the rain. ヽ(^o^)丿. Most people were sitting, but since it's called "Yu-po," we walked. ( ̄▽ ̄) The stones are large, so we had no trouble. ( ̄ー ̄) It was slippery, so we held on to the handrails as we walked. The stones gradually got smaller. (^▽^;) I regularly massage my foot pressure points, so it didn't hurt at all. (*'▽') The hot spring water erupts for a few seconds every 10 minutes. The Yu-po didn't hurt, but this one did. (゜_゜) There was a suspension bridge along the river, so we decided to stop by. The autumn leaves look beautiful. (´ー`) You can see everything below, it's shaky, and it's scary (>_<). You can't walk in the middle (^_^;). If you go up the stairs, you'll come out onto National Route 400. There's also a foot bath next to the parking lot (´ー`). There are bears nearby too Σ(゚Д゚). Next is the last tourist spot of this trip. It's a vast ranch covering an area the size of 176 Tokyo Domes. They raise about 500 dairy cows and apparently produce about 9 tons of raw milk per day. I've been here before, but the shop and restaurant have been renovated. The yogurt drink at the ranch is thick and delicious (´ー`). The official mascot is "Sebon." It's just a regular cow... I guess (´・ω・). Further in, there are putt-putt golf, darts, a dog run, and more. Finish off with some soft serve ice cream (´-`*). Thank you for your hard work (*'▽'). In this trip, you've seen a trip to Nasu that can be enjoyed rain or shine (´ー`). I'm sure it will be useful for your own trips (´ー`). If you enjoyed it, please give it a thumbs up, hype it up, and subscribe to the channel! We're also looking forward to your opinions and thoughts (´ー`). Thank you for watching until the end. See you in the next video (^_^)/~
