山梨県甲州市(こうしゅうし)。
原生林の森が広がる深い山の中。
集落への道の1本が土砂崩れで通行止めとなりました。
ほぼ陸の孤島と化してしまった限界集落。
下界では聞かないセミの鳴き声がします。
かつて金山で働いていた人たちが定住したそうです。
独特な形をした美しい古民家が点在します。
懐かしい学校や歴史ある神社仏閣が見られます。
子供たちの賑やかな声が聞こえてきそうです。
古き良き遠い昔の情景を想像したくなります。
今は人の姿はなく、限界突破集落と化しました。
民宿を営んでいたおばあさんに話を聞きました。
40世帯ほどの集落は3分の1以下に減ったそうです。
民宿ではキャンプや登山者を受け入れていました。
現在は登山者にお茶をふるまってくれます。
